I've installed latest version for 1.7.10

After attaching on speed of 1 km/h this happens. (The attaching tool was used)

What can I do to avoid this and make the mod work properly? The train can"t move after this

Make sure you are coupling it to the back of the train.
Trains are always placed in the direction you are looking. Where you click on the rails it places the back of the train.

It's also possible that your computer can't keep up the ticks and this is the result of the poor performance.

I'm kind of curious as to when the recipes for the tracks were changed. Last I knew you used regular minecraft track in a train workbench, but now it's iron and planks?

When was it regular minecraft tracks?
It was always planks with iron/steel. We just changed the recipes to be more like vanilla/railcraft

    Hello,

I have got a question. Why the ICB can not drive faster than 196 km/h when it is coupled with other rolling stocks. When I open the inventory it shows, that speed reduction is 0 and max speed is 279. Other locomotives wich by rolling stocks reduced drives the speed wich is shown as max speed.

Sorry if my english isn't correct. I'm not a native speaker.

It's a limit of the coupling system.

It's really weird. I am hosting a server for myself and my friends but whenever I try and place a diesel loco, the game causes the server to crash and I have to re-upload the world. Steam locos and redstone fine. Just diesel. Any ideas?

No crash report - no help.

it's weird probably my world hates trains because the bug only happens in my main world

We have a hard time replicating this issue. But we're working on a solution.

hello would it be possible to make 2d tracks for traincraft? so basicly curved vanilla tracks etc as while i love the look of the 3d tracks i find there extremely laggy and once you have alot of rails loaded on a map it destroys the frame rate. and while you can use the normal mine craft tracks hight speed trains going around 100kph and up just derail on any turn. and running a mix of traincraft tracks and normal tracks dosent looks great. also would be great if we can make it so you can have tracks that go at 45 degree angles if possible. this might have been suggested before but had not found anyone suggest it. also great mod been using it for years and great work with the 1.7.10 updates.

It's just not possible to make 2 renders for 1 thing. even 2D tracks would need a Flat 3D-Model cuz of their size.

For the lava cart, There's a perfect example in the Thermal Expansion mod, The Florbs. [...]

Thanks for the heads up. Was a really good tip - didn't saw it until now. I used an other system before but you had to manually add all the required fluids to the lava cart.

I checked what they did and had to adapt it to Traincrafts way of handling the containers. Never thought that there is a getTemperature method in the FluidRegistry.

Lava cart uses model of molten metal cart, that is used in steel mills. I think it will be reasonable to allow molten metals for it as well (extreme heat is no joke), and not allowing them for other tank carts.

I also managed to drown my locomotive in a 1 block water stream. "Locomotive was drowned" or something. Is this supposed to be so? Locomotive just disappears from existence, doesn't even drop itself.

Congratulations on the update! I was out of the loop, now I'm eager to see new stuff in my world!

We will look into support of molten metals for the lava cart if it allows us to use other things out of the box.

Maybe this is supposed to be like that. It's a straight port from 1.6.4 where we didn't even saw most of the functions that the trains are using due to the fact everything was working. Since our first release in 1.7.10 we made Traincraft a lot more stable for the users. I think it's supposed to disappear because you would need a crane to get it back out of a sea e.g. Maybe this was something "realistic" in MrBrutals vision.

Is the heavy tender gonna get a Engine again tho?

I don't know. If we get a Traincraft version where it is in we could look into it.
    Quote from ciekma»

I have following idea about overhead wires: connectors with real wires.

For example, Immersive Engineering mod have fancy power line wires hanging between connectors, for transporting RF/EU:

Maybe it is possible to adopt similar thing, but simplier (just straight line, not catenary curved one) for traincraft electric locomotives?

For example, assume two connectors as block entities, you can connect them with wire, now wire is drawn as straight line between connectors,

and if train will detect wire nearby, it is possible to calculate if train bounding box match wire coordinates.

Thanks to this, you would be able to make electric traction any along curved, sloped or diagonal tracks, by placing polygonal chain of straight wires.

Well the problem would be the wire itself since it has no function in that scenario (even in IE it can go through blocks). So we would need to check for last and next connector which makes the system not really fast. The current solution is better then no solution ;)

    Understandable have a great day.

But yea, They also accidentally somehow re-added the "Heavy Tender" as well. Was broken badly tho. (Which anyone whos been around long enough would remember that tender...)

well it was intentional but render was just messed up. The first release of 010 was a mistake from one of the team members he thought I already reviewed everything and pushed it because everyone was really hyped. In fact: Nothing was checked at that state so he pulled it of Curse that I can review everything. The reports made the check faster but we had a lot of stuff to correct. And I did a Night Shift for Traincraft until 9:30am when I finally went to bed.

And we pushed a new Hotfix 011 update. some bugs passed the check accidentally in 010.

If I understand, there is no way to customize Train Workbench recipes? Is it possible to add config option to just disable all Train Workbench recipes?

We would need to integrate mod support for e.g. MineTweaker to make it possible to remove/add recipes for our stuff (this can't be done out of the box by MineTweaker) or ModTweaker would need to add support for Traincraft.

I checked it again - this issue is related only for aircrafts - only vanilla coal/charcoal is burning, neither TFC coal, Railcraft coke or vanilla wood are not burning.
In case of locomotives (I checked small one), everything can be burned.

Yeah it's true. Only vanilla coal can be burned. We will change this with 010.

    Hello.

I was driving one of my locomotives on the straight piece of track and the game crashed. Now each time I load my game, it crashes instantly. What can I do to recover my map not losing my buildings and tracks?

update to the latest version of Traincraft. You are using a version that is 8 months old now. Latest Version is Traincraft 4.3.2_009. Get it here: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/traincraft

    Hello,

Is it possible to disable train station generation in village? I turn off all the settings in config but not work.

There is no way to turn it off at the moment.
