I finally got a new computer! Been using a crappy laptop for the past few years, really happy I can have something that will let me better manage the server. I decided to try out shaders, boy are they pretty!
Woot for the first time in a while we are at a full 30/30! Twice!
Also Im a bit late with the announcement but the winner of the christmas competition was Hellogoodbye00! Who made an awesome tilted snowglobe interior.
Hopefully there wont be too many bugs, but if you come across any post them here on the forum with any details. Right now the only plugins not working are Disguises and Dynmap. Which I hope will be updated soon. Skyblock is not updated to 1.7 yet, it has a few more essential plugins that need updated before I can proceed.

We will be having a christmas competition which will start in the next few days. Dont start building anything since it will most likely be taking place in limbo.
So, I've been having connection problems. A lot of the time I can connect to the server, but then I'll get kick of and it'll be down for a while. Has something changed, or is it just my internet dying?
The only ongoing issue I know of that might be causing this is that restarts take about 3 minutes now. Mainly due to the size of the worlds we have. After a restart it may appear up, but might actually take a minute or 2 to let people on.
Both servers are now updated to 1.6.4! Sorry Freebuild took slightly longer, a few plugins required major updates. If there are any problems please contact an admin or myself!
So... I found a bit of a bug concerning nether portals. I think if your skyblock is far enough away from spawn (mine is at z=6000) and you make a nether portal, the portal in the nether will spawn outside of the edge of the nether. Of course, I'm just throwing this out there and I don't actually know whats happening, but that seems like whats going on. Anyways, when this happens you're teleported to a place the nether with no bottom and you fall into the void and die. Here's a screenshot of the chat message I got when I entered the portal-
It seems like i'm not the only one with the problem, so does anyone have a solution?

Want a server with a bit more difficulty? A goal? Well we are a skyblock server with a twist. Each player gets their own island to begin with, you sell blocks and items to save up money and buy ranks. With each new rank you gain access to a new custom world, with harder mobs, harder terrain and harder mining. There is no cheating, no op’d players, just survival fun.

[Skyblock] - [C]+
Default world, every player has their own island. Player islands are protected by default, but beware! If you bring other people to your island, or add them to your island party they could PvP or grief you.
[Nether] - [C]+ - Reset every 2 weeks
Just fire up a nether portal and go exploring. PvP and griefing are allowed, so be careful. The nether is not for building in, just for resource gathering.
[End] - [D]+ - Reset every 2 weeks
Buy [Deckhand] and you can sail onwards to the end! Use the end portal at spawn. PvP and griefing are allowed, so be careful. The End is not for building in, just for resource gathering.
[Waste] - + - Reset every 2 weeks
Buy [Sailor] and you can gather ores in the waste! Perhaps the most dangerous world, you can find all of the ores, but also many mobs, perhaps even the occasional wither. PvP and griefing are allowed, so be careful. The Waste is not for building in, just for resource gathering.
[Skylands] - [Free]+
If you gain your Freedom you can move to the skylands. With every biome you can stretch your legs and claim land for your own. Griefing and PvP are allowed, however you can protect you and your buildings using a residence.
Sell - You can sell items and blocks at the shop, with each rank you get access to new shops and better money making opportunities. You can also rent a spawn stall and try your hand at business!
Premium- Buy premium ranks and you can access the lounge and all player shops, making it easier to sell/buy blocks.
Spleef - Pay a fee of 5 doubloons, if you win you get 100 doubloons back!
[s]Vote - You can vote once every 24 hours on our 2 voting sites for 300 doubloons a day! Voting will be up in a few days!
Write a server reivew/suggestion - Make a post on this forum titled ‘Review’ and you can get $500 doubloons. This can be anything from staff suggestions, plugin suggestions or even donor packages you would like to see and if you don't have any suggestions dont worry! Just post about what you like/don't like. This is a one off opportunity, don't make more than one review! Reviews are looked through a few times a day, and it may take a few hours for admins to grant you your money. INCLUDE YOUR IGN
Rules
We dont have many rules, most of them are just common sense!
Any type of hacked client or cheating mods are strictly prohibited. Mods such as optifine are allowed. However using nodus, xray hacks, PvP enhancers or anything that alters gameplay beyond performance can result in a kick, jail, tempban or even a ban.
Spamming chat is not allowed. Which means no constant repeating messages, don’t character spam.
Our server is NOT a place to advertise your (or other) servers.
Any sort of X-raying is not allowed, if your found to be xraying you will have your items confiscated.
Dont try exploit bugs, if you find an exploit or bug report it to staff.
Dont ask for ranks, for more info on ranks check the website.
We arent a server for small children, swearing and mature content is allowed.
Staff ranks
We dont just take anyone on for Captain or Admiral! Staff are expected to be mature, helpful and play by the rules. Asking in chat for staff ranks will get you nowhere. Being staff doesn't let you cheat or make easy money on the server, when outside of duty mode staff play by the same rules as regular players. If you want to make a staff application you can do so here, but dont expect an immediate response, we will look through applications when needed.
