I hate to be a party pooper, but i was playing around with the update and found this bug:
Sheep, when turned invisible via the invisibility splash potion, will turn invisible, but their wool coat will remain, making it a limbless, headless sheep until the invisibility wears off
=D
i would attach my screenshot of it, but i dont know how =D

Hey so I just got a new computer, and I was like, "Hey, what can I do with this?" And thus, MCAchieve was born. My friend just bought minecraft, so what better way to ease him into the game than by collecting all the achievements? And so, our adventure* begins.
*adventure may include absolutely beautiful scenery due to Sildur's Vibrant Shaders!
I'll leave the rest to you, my friend. Adieu!
If you have any advice, tips, or cool stuff you wanna say, comment in the video or on this post!
On a serious note: I do apologize for the mic quality, I haven't gathered the kind of money yet to buy a traditional, nice desktop mic. I'm using an older headset with a mic built in. I'm switching to a nicer headset mic, but nothing on the scale of a blue Yeti or such.

Have you ever wanted some great new swords? Now, you can! With 10 new swords, 7 of them have special effects. For example, using a Redstone God Sword explodes your enemies in a fiery inferno!
Swords
Quartz God Sword : Once this sword tastes blood, it cannot stop! Its user gains Strength I upon combat, and Strength II upon killing.
Coal God Sword : Set your enemies on fire with the igniting properties of coal!
Iron God Sword : Crafted from pure iron, this sword has no special effects but is sharper and more durable than the average iron sword.
Lapis God Sword : The calming properties of lapis slow down your enemies, and apply Slowness I to them.
Gold God Sword : Crafted from solid gold blocks, this sword has no special effects but has incredible enchantability.
Diamond God Sword : The Diamond God Sword, made from solid, compressed diamond, is an upgraded version of the default diamond sword.
Obsidian God Sword : Obsidian shields the user from damage in matters of combat, granting the wielder Absorbtion II.
Redstone God Sword : The explosive electrical properties of redstone explode enemies in a fiery inferno, setting blocks around the enemy on fire.
Emerald God Sword : Upon being touched by a human, this sword combines with the player's soul to give Looting III and massive damage.
Endstone God Sword : This sword, infused with the power of the enderman, can be right-clicked to launch an ender pearl and teleport away.

Updating it now alongside my own mod. 1.8 will be the version it will be available for.

Great ideas! I can include them in the next version, although it will take quite a while. As for that last idea, I've got an idea in the works kind of like Millenaire or Civilization Revolution. It will be a seperate mod.
The mod version is 1.5.4, the minecraft version is 1.6.4. Civil war mod 1.5.4 for Minecraft 1.6.4
I started updating 1.8 today. It'll probably take a while, but just a heads up to keep an eye out over the next couple weeks.

I've got some stuff I added and worked on since then, so unless there is a need for a new version I'm not going to release it for a while.
EDIT: Sorry about missing your post. I changed some setting in my email, and I don't see any emails from the forums and thus don't get notified when people comment. I honestly don't know what I changed, so I've been checking manually but not consistently. Apologies

No. Everybody playing on the server must have the same mods as the server. However, you can install the mod on your computer, generate a world, and then copy the world onto your server, assuming you run your server off your computer

Basically, you want to use a a parabola, which is represented by its standard transformed equation y=a(x-h)^2 + k, where the horizontal translation, h, is always zero. The vertical translation, k, is the height of the block. Or at least thats what I got
I dont see what you would use a parabola for. Like what does the function return for y? The block the shadow is at?

I thought I would throw out an update because its been almost two months.
For most of this time, I've been busy with real life. However, we just started spring break, and I finally have time to work with 1.7. After about a day I'm roughly a half to 2/3 done with updating, so good news there. I've still got the features I implemented but didn't release in 1.6.4 working, so better news there. However, I am gone until next thursday on family buisness, but I would love to get a v1.6 for 1.7.2 released in 8 days. Other updates should be minor changes from 1.7.2.
See ya around!

1.6 will be a huge update. I've already implemented most of my features, and I'm working on the last main feature now.
However, Forge has finally released a recommended 1.7.2. That means I will be working on updating to 1.7.2 as part of the 1.6 update. However, this was a completely massive update, at something like half a million lines of code changed. I don't know how long it will take, but I expect it to take around two weeks.
I've also developed a small side mod for somebody one weekend. Check it out here:

Light issues have long been solved by bartesx2x by range trees. Meanwhile, Mojang will not accept anything short of better than how it us currently. The way you describe this is exactly what they dont want.
No hard feelings, just saying

Effects:
Quartz Sword: Strength I on hit, Strength II on kill
Coal Sword: Sets mob on fire
Redstone Sword: Explodes mob
Obsidian Sword: Give absorbtion to the user on attacking a mob
Lapis Sword: Slows down the enemy
Emerald Sword: Automatic Looting III
Endstone Sword: Launches Ender Pearls on right click
iron, gold, and diamond (being default swords) have no special abilities
I'm thinking about making a 1.2 where the emerald sword is uncraftable but spawns in a temple protected by a boss.
