    INTRODUCING...

    IP: 192.99.19.54:25636
Welcome to ThalmicNation. A lore-type survival server.
This server has entered the Beta stage, and for the next few weeks, we will shape it around YOU the players, into something so magnificently amazing I won't even be able to comprehend it.
All we need is YOUR help to make this one of the greatest MC server that has ever risen to power.
    FEATURES:
    • Minigames world. This world consists of many fun games to play if you aren't in the mood for survival. Currently we have just automatic spleef, battlearena, and building contest games. Later, we will get Murder and other games that you choose.
    • Lore Ranks. Ranks such as member and trusted are too mainstream. Here, we have ranks that fit in with a lore feel: Wanderer, Explorer, and Adventurer. Each have their own requirements to achieve. Eventually there will be 5 of these types. Each one offers more abilities.
    • Drugs. Drugs can be bought cheaply on our online store our bought from McCheesy's drug plantation in the game. Each drug gives out wacky effects that may benefit you or harm you. Speech slurs included.
    • Normal and UHC world. UHC as in Ultimate Hardcore. Each world is entirely separate unto itself, but in UHC you can grief, steal, and more. No health regen, and mobs do insane damage. For the most hardcore of players.
    • Lockette, backpacks, playerheads, and MythicDrops. Use your new rare weapons to slice off the heads of your opponents, craft working backpacks to store your extra stuff, and lock your chests tight with these plugins that boost play experience.
    • Features that you decide. Tell us what you want to see and you will see it. Factions? No problem. McMMO? Are you sure?

I'd replace a lot of the parts simply because they are hilariously overpriced and overkill, you will never use even 500W with that kind of system and the graphics card only has a slightly better cooler for $100 more. You could also get a better motherboard for the price and the case isn't necessarily the best either. RAM barely has an impact on performance in other than a few specific tasks so you might as well pick a cheaper kit.

Thanks a whole bunch! Is there any difference between the Sapphire and the Asus besides price and the cooler?

Drop the i7-3770K to an i5-3570K, since the i7 doesn't make an improvement in gaming, only rendering.

    Quote from Champ0807

Do you really need the sound card? Most motherboard come with decent onboard audio and you could use the money to get a SSD for a boot drive

And the cooler will come with thermal paste so you can save $10 there as well

Alright thanks, just saved me $300. Parts on that website are half the price they are on overstock, so I needed it.

Is the SSD the main hard drive?

Here's what I have selected on PCPartspicker.com. Just wanted to know if it was a decent set up at a glance. Now I will try and find these parts on Overstock. I have a USB wireless adapter at hand so I'm pretty sure I don't need to burn money buying a card.

Ok, and do you need a monitor, mouse, or keyboard in the budget? Do you have a preference to Windows 7 or 8?

Don't need a monitor, mouse or keyboard, and I prefer windows 7 because I heard 8 had some issues with some programs and games.

Yeah, as long as the parts are compatible you can build one yourself. You can use PCPartspicker.com to put together a list of the parts you are going to get to see if they are compatible.

Also, what is you budget for your computer? I'll see what I can't find on their website

    Thanks, my budget is $1600-$1700.

Don't do that, just build a system yourself. All prebuilts are overpriced by some bit to make a profit, and usually, prebuilts have horrible low-quality power supplies that may catch fire when it's under load.

EDIT: NVM, I missed the part where you said you were only buying from Overstock.com. I think you should just get something like this, and add the GPU yourself, because buying a prebuilt with a GPU just to replace it is pointless. Instead, you can buy a prebuilt with a better processor and no GPU and add the GPU itself.

The RAM and storage isn't to my liking. I found some hardware on overstock and I bet I could grab some of that and give building my own a go.

Thanks for all the feedback, and I think I will be getting the following computer that was mentioned by Wolley74. I noticed however the graphics card on this computer is pretty bad, and I'm not sure, but I think the computer could handle this type of upgrade?

    Computer:

Graphics card I want to put in it:

I now have access of purchasing a new desktop mainly for gaming. However, I am not very tech-savvy when it comes down to the bottom-line of computer components. Below I have a few computers I was looking at and I was wondering if somebody could analyze the specs of said computers, and tell me if I could remotely run any of the newer, high definition games like BF3, or Far Cry 3 for example.

I just need to clarify a few things here first: I can only purchase the computer on Overstock.com. Don't ask why... ok I will tell you. It's because I have a ton of money saved up on their rewards system and don't have budget saved for any other site. And second: for that reason I cannot build my computer like I really would want to. Thanks.

    First Computer:

Second: I bet this one is better
    http://www.overstock...OE&searchidx=34

If neither of them are decent enough, let me know?

Thanks, I really appreciate your help!

    Quote from Huey_Freeman

Well mine isn't. I have the most craptop because my school wanted to be cheap even though they forced us to pay for it.

I can't, I am forced to have it for school. I am selling my dirtbike and buying a decent laptop though :/

It just makes me lag dude, ok? You seriously can not take no for an answer.

Seriously kid. Now I KNOW you are just making stupid crap up to continue this flame war. The only possible way that the launcher, sitting their on your screen, doing absoulutely nothing but displaying a visual graphic of feed coming directly from the minecraft itself, is lagging you out. If it is, this is the mac you have:

It's also nice that you are selling your dirtbike for a nice laptop, but next time, please refrain from purchasing any computer-based subscriptions, such as the curse premium you have there (curse is pretty awesome, do indeed support them!) before you go around and complain that you don't have enough money to buy a new computer.

posted a message on What was your first death ever like?
My first death was the darkest day of my minecraft career. For some fail reason I was carrying around every single valuable item I ever owned, then I noticed something creepy on a nearby mountain while I was still walking. Walked right into a lava pit. I was so mad I just lost everything that I got me an inventory editor, and well, cheated a whole bunch. Ruined my experience. Then that cheating led to modding, and now I can never play minecraft without mods or I will die of boredom. Save yourself while you still can!

    Quote from _KillerTomato_

you should dig yourself under the sand(i mean digging under it so that there is 1 block[stone, dirt, whatever]between you and the sand)
and when you brake the block, immediantly place a torch on the ground, that causes all the sand that falls on it to brake,so you dont need to mine it.

    Quote from super_powerz

I have a very easy way thats somewhat automatic. Dig down in the desert to whaer the sandstone starts. Mine the block of sandstone and immediately place a torch where the block just was. All the sand above it will fall but when it hits the torch it will automatically brake. This saves time and diamonds!

    Quote from Bro_Flygon

I have a better idea, guys. How about digging a hole in the sand, getting underneath it, placing a torch, and mining out the block holding up the sand so that it all falls on the torch so you can collect it?

    vvvvvvvvvvvvv

    Quote from StubbyEE

Enchant a diamond shovel with efficiency III, which will make the sand blocks break instantly. Then, hold down the mouse. When you move your mouse, the blocks will break instantly where you point at. The blocks will have no delay between breaking a block and starting to break a new one, so you can collect lots of sand in little time.
