Why do people like to use a mod like biomes o plenty with this mod so much?
Well....Biome's o' Plenty is a very popular mod that, atleast in my opinion, is much better than vanilla biomes and adds a better overall aesthetic, variety, and experience... also, some people are either modpack creators (like myself) or users, most of which use BoP (sometimes Extra Biomes XL)... Also, since my modpack is an RPG based one, Zelda Sword Skills adds that nice touch to it among other Magic/RPG based mods in my pack.... is this a problem? You seem bothered by it.
Not really sure why that should matter (unless it's just pure curiosity).... and an answer would be nice, but......ok....lol
Hey question: So I'm working on "Biomes o' Plenty" biome assignments in the config, and I read in the ZSS manual that multiple Temples can't share the same biomes in their lists......but does this also apply to the section in the config "S:"[Biome Types] List of _____ type biomes - certain mobs spawn differently depending on the biome type"?
in other words, would it be allowed to assign BoP's "Fungi Forest" biome to both the "Mushroom Island Type" list and "Forest Type" list?
so..... I can't seem to find it in the config, but is there anything in the config that lets me change land octorok spawn settings? because this is just....

if I changed the 1 to, say, 5, would that mean blue slimes have a "1 in 5" chance of spawning?" or does the 1 represent a 100% chance of spawning? Blue slimes spawn incredibly too much in the Twilight Forest... :/
So... would it be possible to add dimension blacklisting in the config for villagers to spawn? It's kinda odd seeing them in the Nether and Twilight forest.. lol (using 5.0.6v 1.7.10 )
I'd suggest Fastcraft and/or BetterFPS for just framerate issues. Optifine is great, and does a lot more than just add some FPS, but it also can cause conflicts with some other mods(BoP alone should be fine though).
out of curiosity, is BetterFPS the same as "FPS plus" mod? If not ,I'm having a tough time finding the one you mentioned....would you mind linking to it? currently I use Fastcraft and optifine in a modpack I'm making with about 170 mods (no conflicts with optifine so far either ^_^) but more performance boosters wouldn't hurt
This may seem like a silly question but hear me out: what exactly does it mean by "overriding" vanilla biomes? I assumed it was self explanatory and meant that it stops/replaces the specified vanilla biome from spawning, however, I've noticed that even though the config says a biome is being overridden, they still sometimes spawn... like deserts for example even in a few of my BoP saves, they still show up. I dont have a problem with it, really, but I'm jut confused by it. is this a bug or am I not understanding something about what "override" means?

Ah sorry about that. Considering I use both simultaneously I just assumed land octoroks spawned the rest of the mobs from this one lol thanks though!

question: for 1.7.10, would it be possible to add some sort of Dimension Blacklist for spawns? :/ (or does it exist already and I'm overlooking it?)
