    I had an idea for something you could add in a later update. I was playing in a world and I had a creeper that I was talking to in a pen but it somehow got out (I am still baffled as to how...). I went searching for what felt like 30 minutes and I found a total of 5 creepers, none of which were the same one I was talking to. My idea is that when you talk to a mob there will be something altered about it to make it easily distinguishable from other mobs. something like a nameplate or the in game model changing to something similar to that of the cute mob models mod.

    Alright everyone, I would like to apologize for anything I have said that would have augured you. I was just voicing my thoughts and it got a little out of hand. your right that the human interaction is needed when people are stuck and don't know what to do, its just that I have had to figure everything out on my own for so long that it sometimes aggravates me when other people are being helped when I have not for so many years. again I am deeply sorry and I hope that you will not dislike me in the future. :unsure:

    I didn't mean you any offense, I was just saying that everything you need to know is in the main post and on the wiki, and if you have problems, read through the thread because we have already had discussions about what you are going through. and I just want to say that if you are still new to minecraft then you probably shouldn't be trying out mod's until you fully understand how all of this stuff works.

    I knew that there would be a sudden influx of people poring in after gamechap made that video. I'll admit that the wiki guys for the original mob talker was a good thing, but all these idiots who are too stupid to read the main post are just taking up space in the thread. When im making mods I am definitely not letting anyone know about it until I am ready to release, I'll test it myself.

    We'll fix that in 002. For now, just use < and > instead of <= and >=.

    I think you should have it set up to where after you have talked to a mob a name plate appears above its head saying the mobs name so that you can distinguish it from other mobs. (ps I just saw a youtube video where a couple of guys that call themselves gamechap and bertie told the whole world about your mod, and because of previous posts im assuming they did it without your permission. I thought you would like to know.)

    I finally got it to work, as it turns out I wasn't using notepad++. I used your example on the wiki as a test run and it all worked great. now im going to try and make a longer and more complicated one and see how it goes. ^_^

    your right it wasn't, I just thought it was because that has never happened before with either of the mods (rie's minimap and too many items)

    I just noticed that we intended to make the Load label optional, but in fact that didn't made it into the first version :huh: Will be fixed in 002.


    Ok, that clears that up, thank you. all I was missing was the load label :steve_sillyface: can you also see about fixing that bug where I crash every time I make a new world, id really appreciate it.

    I made the simplest script ever and it wouldn't work, all it was was cupa being happy and saying that it works, because every time before it didn't. every time I tried to talk to her nothing happened and I triple checked everything. can someone give me a script because nothing is working here! aslo something to note is that every time I made a new world my game would crash, then I would open it back up and everything was fine again.

    Right now I'm doing some much needed documentation of the script API, but I want to make a better tutorial about creating scripts too.

    And it's a simple text file you create. Best way to edit them would be a text editor like Notepad++.
