Woot!
1 down, 2 to go. Just add playable music instruments with music sheets, and paintable paintings, and there will be no limits for creativity in Minecraft.

Dec 4, 2011Neuman posted a message on Notch Steps Down, Jeb Takes Lead Developer Position for MinecraftWow you guys really need to stop spazzing out. "Jeb will ruin the game, he dislikes dragons, he will remove them" You guys don't even know what. Just because I dislike vanilla ice cream doesnt mean im going to do everything in my power to ban it. I'm sure Jeb will make the right desicions, he has been very dedicated to Minecraft development whereas Notch wanted to work on other projects. This could be a great improvement to the Minecraft community, we may have faster updates and more attention to mods now. Too many people are making the assumption that Notch is the god of minecraft and everything he does will be amazing for minecraft and he alone is the person who made all of Minecraft. Notch is a good guy and all, but this transition of power might be for the better.Posted in: News

Nov 23, 2011Neuman posted a message on Yogscast Responds To StatementWell... Notch made a statement, and the Yogscast made a statement. Although the Yogscast's statement was much more mature and well written, I don't know who is telling the truth or who is lieing. So, i'm not really going to take sides. But the Yogscast just seem like nice guys, and they seemed to be a bit more mature in this... We'll find out later whats going on I guess... I hope this doesn't tear the minecraft community apart, given that Notch and the Yogscast have played roles in minecrafts development.Posted in: News

Aug 28, 2011Neuman posted a message on PAX - 1.8 Game Features!God, I am a bit dissapointed with Notch... I know I know he deserves breaks and all, but seriously he should pick up the pace. He has all of our attention, waiting in anticipation for the 1.8 upddate. And he keeps moving it back and taking stuff out. He really does have to work more, either that or hire a team... Not to hate on Notch, but I think I speak for us all when I say I feel like hitting myself every time I hear 1.8 is getting moved back.Posted in: News

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought "A full scale recreation? Hah! Better have a few free years of your life". But then I clicked on the thread, and saw that you are actually doing it ._. Awesome job, keep updating the photos!

Anyways, could there be something like an item you carry that allows you to teleport to a dimension? This may seem a bit overpowered, so it could be weakened in the following ways:
-Its made out of 1 or more diamonds
-It either randomn teleports you to an open space in the dimension, or it hurts you when you arrive, or maybe both
-It has a recharge time

Why am I proposing design ideas for an idea I didn't support in the first place? ._.

Ok, so we know guns have to have different shooting mechanics than bows, otherwise why add them. We can't have them spam bullets instantly either. So most people would go for good accuracy and high damage(this is also how the earliest of guns were like). The possible problem with this being, is that it would add sniping mechanics, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. However it could mess up the balance of fighting, for example, sword and bow combat would be useless if you could just snipe of your enemy from the distance, this style of battle could be added but it could mess things up.

Excuse me for not doing research on my examples, I'm such a terrible poster :sad.gif:
Anyways, the point of those examples(however bad they were) was to not implement things into the game just because they're in real life. Again, good other ideas, we need redstone wires to go up the walls... Sorry for not reading the most recent post, I was rushed to leave and I had the urge to rant based on what info I had read.

Seriosuly, all i can say is freaking wow. I absolutely loved the styles of building, from the desert to the town to the something else, it was amazing! I especially was amazed at the white houses with the log outlines, looks awesome. The underground forge, and the desert castle looks amazing! AND ITS ALL SO AMAZING. I also loved the huge bridge thing.
The only criticism i can bring myself to give is possibly use more variety in materials for the desert sandstone houses. Other than that, my mind is blown.
