posted a message on help with lan?
LAN means 'local area network'. They can only join if they are in your area. Which means they have to be on the same network as you. This means that unless if you have a local network with a godly signal range, it means they have to be in your house with you.

In layman's terms, this means that if you lived in, say, Wisconsin, somone who lives in Kansas will not be able to connect to you. However, your neighbor or sibling on a computer next to you will be able to.

I found this bug with the shift-click function of chests. Out of curiosity I tried to pull out an item when my inventory was full and the game saved chunks and showed the crash error screen. The screen disappeared before I could get a good look at it though. This was in 1.6.4, as I had not updated it because I wanted to keep my mods 'till they updated for 1.6.5. I don't know if it would happen if the chest was full, as I didn't have enough items, but I assume it would.

Wow, that's some pretty awesome news. If you are able to turn out enough alternate graphics as good as the main ones, you may just become a rival for Painterly.

I really like this texture pack, but I would prefer to wait until the new patch drops. I haven't been able to get a look at the wolves yet though, as I was using the pre-1.4 version. I have to say, next to Painterly, this pack is the most detailed 16x pack I've seen yet. Good work.

Nevermind, for some reason it didn't want to work at the time. It works fine now.

Very good job on the pack. I have one suggestion though. You have the sulfur a pile of green blobs. Maybe you could change these green blobs so that they also have eyes on them, and make the creeper a multi-eyed monster! One other suggestion is that it would be nice if you create a bigger 'window' on the wooden door. Personally, I like to see whether or not there is a creeper or some other baddy behind it, but with the small eye for the window that you have now, it's hard to tell. One small change to it is all I'm asking, maybe add another half circle below it to make it look like an eye.

I can't seem to be able to download the file off of Mediafire. I just, and by just I mean right after I tried yours, and it worked perfectly fine. Yours however.... No such luck.

I have no problem with the way the installer is working right now, but Minecraft Mod Manager tends to revert any changes to the .jar file. Is there some way you could make a version of the mini-map that you can install using MMM?

Could you make it so that it doesn't wipe out the custom texture pack that you have installed? You know, using Xau's? Maybe put in a way to put in high def texture packs with MMM as well?

MMM doesn't do anything specific with texture packs. You've run Xau's patcher, and then MMM, and the custom textures don't show?

You should be able to use MMM in conjunction with a modified minecraft.jar, I believe, although I don't normally run it that way.

Yeah, I ran the texture pack patcher and then I installed the mods and my texture pack was gone. All of the native resolution texture packs are unaffected. I think the only way this could happen is if something replaced the .jar. I haven't tried to run the texture pack patcher after using MMM because I get the feeling that it will remove the mods.

Do you have to use the high def patcher to get the water/lava working properly?

This pack is amazing. I love how the breaking texture fits the lines in the block. Only suggestion though, maybe make the leaves connected around the corners? They don't feel right. Otherwise, well done!
