What if there was like... Quicksand or something in the jungle, Would pull you down slowly, Damage you when your head goes under, and you'd need a bucket to pick up the sand and get out of it. Quicksand would be a liquid, And it would move just a bit slower than lava. It would also be great for those people who like to make traps. It would, Of course also trap and kill monsters, Maybe except for one new monster, Like a quicksand crawler.
Cave-Ins are the collapse of a cave due to too mutch pressure/stress on the tunnel
Cave-Ins would happen naturally but rarely unless the user is messing with the cave (Mining and sutch)
Supports could be made to stop this they would automatically fit around around the walls of the cave assuming that the cave/mining shaft is between a 2x2 and a 6x6 opening
The supports would lower the chance of a cave-in

What about genetic mutations/enhancements on monsters and/or animals? Like, A two headed creeper with twice the explosion or a four armed skeleton that shoots two arrows at once, Or for the animals an Extra fat pig or a cow with a ton of extra skin, These mutations/Gene defects would be rare but risky or usefull, Imagine an extra tall zombie that can jump REALLY high or a sheep that has so mutch wool it drops some every once in a while. Spiders that lunge acrost 10 blocks or chickens that have long wings (For actual flying chickens) That would open up some new crafting opertunities too!
