Introduction
Hello, I am making a roleplaying-survival server as we speak, and I need builders to help me out. If you know how to listen well, and follow basic orders, than it would be rad if you could join. It would be preferable if you are an experienced builder with an an eye for detail, however, if you are not, no sweat. You can still help out.
A little bit about the server
Basically, the server is going to be set in a medieval, fantasy landscape.
Currently, we plan to have 4-5 ranks. Peasant [P] - [guest-type rank — no building abilities], Villager [V] -[Regular user], Knight [K] - [Someone who has dedicated a lot to the server, i.e. through leadership, building projects, etc.] Lord [L] - [Moderator], and Sage [S] - [Game masterAdmin]. All of the different ranks will have a varying degrees of permissions and abilities.
We plan to implement a race and biography system, along with roleplaying names. At first, we will probably only have two races — most likely Elves and Humans. Until we attract more people, numerous races will not be possible. This is because we want the races to operate like communities, so to speak. If we had 10 races, and only 16 regular players, then there would only be 1-2 people in each race, or some races won't even be used. However, if we have 2 races, and 16 players, we can start communities and build cities as populations. Secondly, the biography system. We plan to have a player card listing you rp name, rp age, possibly race, and a short description of your character. We also plan to implement a nickname system, where a player could change his ign to his roleplaying name. However, with this, there will be limitations to the changing of your name. If you choose a character name, you have to stick to it. If you are awarded a title, you may add it to your name, like Volthias, to Mayor Volthias. However, the random adding of titles will not be allowed. You cannot simply say in your character bio that your character is a king from a distant land, and name yourself King [Yournamehere]. Titles shall be earned. If we see this happening, it will probably result in a 15-20 minute ban
Lastly, we are going to be building in a tudorrenaissance architecture. If you don't know those styles, look them up. There are a lot of examples of these types of buildings that have been built in minecraft by other people, so you can look up some pictures.
There are only a couple more things that I have to say. The builders I feel that contributed the most to the planning, building, and construction of the server will be crowned the moderators. These are the people who built the most, built the best, and contributed the best ideas. If you aren't crowned moderator, but still helped out a lot, you will be given Knight status. This will come with plenty of benefits and perks. Lastly, those who I felt helped the least, or didn't quite make the cut for Knight, you will be started off with a booster pack, so to speak. It will have 3 diamonds, 64 log, 64 coal, and some leather armor.
