    slight update to my last post several months ago. the 1st issue actually occurs when minecraft apparently reaches a point where it used all the PC's ram. setting render distance to 3 keeps it at a solid 15gb ram now... unless i load a crapton of chunks.


    as for biome size: i found the config for it. im a derp. its litterally the 3rd bit of code.


    anyways friend started up the server this morning: pictured is the world map from Journey map for my friends server that ive gone to. this was a rather lucky spawn. a few hundred blocks along the south west coast is also a rainbow forest.


    the only downside is all the ores along the top rim of the pink birch forest was radioactive ores x.x


    im still wondering if its possible to delay the respawn of the void monster as i dont feel like wed enjoy a thing thats equal to a wither spawning above us within a few minutes of us killing 1 while were trying to explore/solve the nether roof...

    question: is there any way to prebuild the nether relocation focus without causing the tnt to immediatly blow up the structure yet still make it valid for the structure to do what its supposed to?

    been playing the dragon realm pack for the last day and a half and so far am loving it =). even convinced a friend of mine to open up a private server so we can play with a friend of his their both avid fans of computercraft/ae2/buildcraft/ic2 but he was a bit worried that the description to the pack said "this is a testing grounds" pack. so i told him id test it while he works for the next 2 days. so far no major issues on the SSP side =) (other than a issue with my own pc: windows 11 recent update graphically broke 1.7.10 for no reason).

    only have found 2 really minor issues so far (ive only played it for a total of 9 hours): 1) apparently when you right click a wooden tinkers construct chisel you try to eat it? not sure if thats tinkers or just dragonrealm being weird. 2) i went into the configs a little later and set geostrata's config file "Ore Mode" from 0 to 1 (thinking you know, it would make geostrata stones have ore blocks inside of them) it seems when combined with the texture pack: generated coal ores will have the "missing texture" texture in the place where the "coals" are in the ore (the stone portion of the block is fine) and emerald/lapis ores will have a few pixels worth of xray-alpha on their face.... (i plan to revert this change and start a new world).

    the only other thing is im not sure where to find info on "climate controls'" configuration files to maybe reduce the overall biome size... not by much... just ive had a beach biome that was 10+ chunks thick... and idk that feels mildly too big...

    Im going to assume this is NOT supposed to generate here?


    using v30. it was in the village exactly like this, it had spawned in the middle of thaumcrafts great oak. the blocks were mineable but the structure controller was present (it caused a red glow around the structure) im going to assume this was meant as one of the late game structures... idk. maybe something derped on my end i dont have the log file as this was generated last night after i had fixed the "ctd upon death" issue (it was satisforestry + infernal mobs doing something weird. removing 1 or the other seems to have fixed it. ive left both out just in case). if i spot another ill screenshot it and send over the log...



    huh i just found a neat interaction w/ random thing's blood moon and cave crystals. they apply their nether effects during bloodmoons. (nvm: it was a hidden gas vent, admittedly next to a kijani crystal).

    ive had this same issue. 3 for 3 frozen outposts, no items in chests. im using v30, ive also encountered issue back on v28~v29. no errors regarding the frozen outposts. only had 1 error and it was related to the burrow issue thats on github. is it just somehow not generating the stuff in the chests?


    (derp meant to quote the guy from earlier who said he was 2 for 2....)




    i just thought of a theory while i was collecting the shielding stones of the frozen outpost...

    facts:
    so this issue seems to have appeared at least 1 version ago.

    at least 2 users have reported it.

    nothing strange appears in the error log.

    this is the only structure that this seems to be occurring with.

    both worlds ive experienced it with had no loot in the chests across at least 2 versions. in both cases i had geostrata installed.


    if i may offer a theory: and the other guy can confirm or deny if this was the case on his end.

    this is the only structure that gets changed with geo strata installed as far as i know. in fact i think it was the first to do so.


    is it possible that the geo strata version of the structure isnt generating the chests correctly (perhaps its loading the a slightly different structure but not calling the chest loot gen correctly? or something...)? if the other guy had geostrata and anyone else with this issue also had it... that might indicate that that is the case...


    if not. well at least it was a good theory....


    later ill try a super flat with the super flat config on and set it to the correct biome and without geostrata installed to see if i cant replicate it without it.

    gonna preface this with probably not a bug... but it could be.
    so after about 4 hours searching every inch of a snowy biome where i found 4 individually different satisforestry biomes and 6 ice spikes.... i finally found the snowy burrow.


    however for some strange reason every single chest inside was completely empty.... not sure how or why...


    so im wondering: is there a way to generate a loot chests contents through some command? i have a mod that lets me generate most of the vanilla chest loot tables in any empty chest if i so desire...


    or is there a place on github that gives the rough odds of what a lootchest is supposed to spawn with?

    not the same error. no crash report but can post current log. but uh while i was playing and the weather 2 mod was doing its thing (its about to hurl a cat 4 hurricane at me by looks of my skybox) i got this in chat: "Structure BURROW encountered 7 errors during generation. Check your log for details. Error ID: -8911798724638104272"


    in the log it seems weather 2 tried to place snow blocks while the storm was moving past where a burrow would be.... or.... something... youd probably understand what the error id means. heres the google drive for the log (pastebin says its too big):

    i paused the game at the moment the chat message appeared and came straight here so the error is at the bottom.


    interestingly i also had in the log something about chromaticraft having to load progression through the cache as somehow i lost progress?

    timestamp for that is 18:33:10


    interestingly this is right around when i came across a burrow that had partway generated into a minor cave that was just a few blocks below the surface...not sure. its kinda weird.


    okay so.... i didnt want to post another reply as i didnt want to flood thread... i have a feeling its minecraft being minecraft but just got another crash. im gonna put the log on pastebin but short bit:

    hi =D long time no post... i got a new laptop as my old one finally died.

    im playing with all latest versions of your mods.

    in a test world i was building all of the multiblock structures for schematica and i ended up crashing as i was building the cloaking tower (just as i placed the cloaking beacon).

    it seems related to chromaticraft and railcraft...

    java.lang.ClassCastException: mods.railcraft.common.blocks.hidden.TileHidden cannot be cast to Reika.ChromatiCraft.TileEntity.AOE.Defence.TileEntityCloakingTower
    at Reika.ChromatiCraft.TileEntity.AOE.Defence.TileEntityCloakingTower.isPlayerCloaked(TileEntityCloakingTower.java:218)

    im unsure exactly what happened....

    somehow. i feel like im an idiot and missing something obvious....


    also: apparently my system came pre-installed with java 8 32bit, on a 64 bit system.... yah idk how that happened. i fixed it now. uninstalled 32 bit. installed 64 bit. still loading dragon api causes a the same above crash.

    so uh an update to this, cause yah, im trying to figure out whats wrong i have just now set minecraft to use java 7u80 instead of the default packaged java. so now i get this error instead: "Caught exception from DragonAPI
    Reika.DragonAPI.Exception.InvalidBuildException: DragonAPI is an invalid JarFile" note: i am downloading the mod from Curseforge. i have not touched/altered anything related to any file i have downloaded. so idk. and yes, i have attempted to redownload the file.

    for your 2nd question: i believe (and note: i COULD be wrong) anything from mod interactions still require pages, but if you have a preexisting world all you need to do is find more pages before moving on.

    so. i recently refound this. i had found this way back when i first was playing minecraft back on 1.6.2. and its awesome its still around. i showed my GF the world map generators and shes enjoying it. im so glad this is still around.

    @user_101: In the configuration file there is a segment labled "Dimension Blacklist" type in the list below this the dimension ID's you dont want it to spawn in. I.E: If a dimension is dimension ID 15 just add 15 to that list.
