I have not downloaded it yet, but I guess I will, but could you make an option to edit normal generated

It already does that. Just go in your map, load all the chunks that you want imported into world painter, then click import existing minecraft map while inside world painter, and edit like you please. It will only load chunks you have loaded while inside the word.

Next time you ask for something, explore a little before doing so. I found this option within the first 5 minutes I used the program, and I barely ever read instruction manuals or anything.

    Hi,
I have a problem, our sourface is about 30, water at 25.
The world looks realy nice, but now, when people run through it MC creates the mine structures IN THE AIR !
Just the wood, webs, rails and so on but they are everywhere.

Can somebody tell me how to fix this?

Go into the map and turn off populate. If this has no relevance to your problem because you don't have populate on or because it still happens, someone else should help you.

Captain_Choas, I'd like to suggest a feature for world painter. You know like when you turn on deciduous trees everywhere and pine trees everywhere it looks kinda cool and a bit diverse? Well I'd love to be able to do things like that, but I don't want it everywhere all the time. It'd be cool if there was some sort of blending tool that you could blend things like deciduous and pine in the same area and have them spawn there. Is there one already?

The business of it's being OP and easily craftable and therefore used as a griefing object on SMP servers is not something which can be so lightly dismissed.

I am in charge of an SMP server in which people must apply on a forum for building rights (i.e. they can still walk around on the server and talk without applying), so we're safer than if anyone could just come in and make a Wither, but all it would take is for a user to harbour a grudge and decide that spawning something like this is the best revenge. I'm not against the idea of the Wither itself, but it is too destructive to be worth having on an SMP server.

Can't you edit mob settings in your commands with the features on the new patch? Turn mob griefing off?

Or this isn't even a picture from a server and it's just after he went in on creative mode then used cheats to go back... still, if this is real a new thread like this will pop up in a few weeks. There's millions of use crafters. It'll happen.

I went into the map and it looked amazing for the amount of time I put into it.

    Welcome to the Celian Empire.

    Picture Explained:
The map works like a topography map.
The white areas are frost. Closer lines together means higher the elevation and steeper the incline. Blue means resources like ores. Purple is caves, put in each biome as you requested, the plains having the largest caves. If you look closely you can see small pictures of trees. In the south it'll look like jungle trees, and the west like pine trees, ect, so you can see where the trees are. The darker the mark, the more trees.

Coming from the south, we have the Tropics, bordered by the [Insert Name Here] Sea. Starting with the swamp, the land gradually gets bigger as you go from the curling tip of the [Blank] Peninsula to the slightly mountainous jungle. Finally we get to the forests, generally unchanging in elevation. From there, a river splits the [Blank] Mountain range near the south. The forests grows slightly on the other side and on the west side of the mountain range, but then gradients into a rolling plain with small pockets of trees, and a few lakes. It is on the east coast plains that sandy beaches can be found. Heading back toward the mountain range, the mountains peak high in the sky, some reaching past the clouds. A few mountains are populated with pine trees, and others not. Hot blowing winds from the tropics mix with the air in the mountains, making the west coast area a snowy, rocky province. Along the south side you can find gravel beaches, and rocky islands off the coast. Pine trees stretch all along the coast until reaching the [Blank] Peninsula in the far north, where there are no trees; only snow.

Hope you enjoy it. If you need any changes made, I can do that but you won't get your buildings saved.

Oh, that would be incredibly nice. I need to reset my current land. Too much snow. If you can, try to make it at least 6 biomes, about 1km in diameter (or just about 1km wide and long). My world is about 30KM of Snowy land right now. And try to make 1 cave in each biome, and in one have a large cave, not in depth put make it kind of expansive in width and length. On elevation, sea level might be about 50. I hope it's not too much trouble.

    6 boimes? Which ones?

I've downoloaded your map, but I have not played it yet.. My SEUS has the bug of purple water, so I don't want to ruin the first impression! :)
Your map is beautiful, I like it more than the Aurelien's works! But I think the caves are too big. You should decrease the amount of ores in there - the "hard resource hunting" feeling is gone in these caves! :D

    Alright, thanks for the info!

As your request, caves have been reduced in frequency (can't be reduced in size all that well) and resources have been drastically reduced. There is a download link and the original version will stay for anyone who wants it instead. Enjoy.

posted a message on Why do so many people keep the default forum avatar?
I think that's part of it, laziness. To say for myself I had the default avatar because the pics I wanted were usually too big, and then trying to resize or crop would just reset it for some reason, and somehow it would always get taken off.. it was just a worthless frustration. But maybe I'm just part of the minority.

Oh, and what Anime is that picture from? It looks like a good one.

    It's from Loveless.

If you want, I can make a world painter map for you. It could be whatever elevation, biomes, or size (though it has to be small enough so I can export it) and I can control cave size and location and resource amount and location. I could do whatever you want if you tell me WHAT you want.

posted a message on Goodbye Minecraft..
I completely understand what you are talking about, and I agree with you on the difficulty. But a lot of what mojang has done to the game is expanding its boundaries. With enchantments, they have expanded the combat area, allowing for more strategy. Potions as well, are counters and for getting over that brick wall in a server. Things like potatoes and carrots make for more ways to farm, but I wish you grew them in different ways too, specific to biome. Anyway, yes, I believe they should have upgraded what they had already.

Minecraft is a game of creation, but you can't find an in-game way to enchant items without a block that does this. If you could, they would not have added it.

If you mean realism, minecraft was never really realistic in the way that once people started building medieval castles and villages everyone was thinking RPG. it fit the game so well, and going toward a MW3 venue and adding fuel tanks and guns would not suit the game so well.

In an off-topic note, I'm trying to create a sever that you describe. Hard to survive in with low resources and all that. But it's going to take time. Lots of time. Keep an eye out and when 1.6.? comes out, head on over and I might have something up.

Thanks! You might also want to add your creations to the official user creations thread.

I get a bad notice when I click on that link. Like a malware notice. (should have used common sense, I'm too trusting when it comes to this community) Explanation?

looks realy wondeful, love the mountain?hill?... everytime i see stuff like this i do always wonder what it would look like in defult..with no mods no texturepacks. but still impressive none the less.
    Quote from BlynuKepejas

Whoah, nice texture, can i get a link to it?

Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders. Link is in the bottom section of the screenshots after "Mods:". The texture pack is SEUS made especially for the mod. Note that in this version the cocoa beans are blue and some textures are not available. I myself use an unofficial 1.3.2 version, which I do not recommend. The mod should be updated soon.

In other news, so glad to have feedback on the map! Has anyone downloaded/played it yet?

I've started a thread of my maps, all thanks to you and your World Painter! Without that, I'd be hopelessly lost in making maps. Even so, world painter makes amazing SURVIVAL maps, contrary to the ones that give you a flatland in the middle of a virtually uninhabitable landscape. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1546107-nekos-painted-custom-terrain/
