I'm pretty sure that is fList connecting to everybody's servers periodically to check out the motd and name and take a snapshot. It does this so that it can provide info on fList to every server (not just the custom ones).
Close, the name and MOTD are sent in the heartbeat to flist. It is agreeably getting a snapshot of the main map, it should soon hopefully be able to snapshot all maps.
Alright, so on the day7tech homepage, it says there's a new revision with 2 new doors (glass and obsidian doors), physics fix, etc.
Yet the only 2 revisions I see up for DL are 190 and 192.
Also, has the map backup problem been looked into yet? My server seems to be sporadically making backups (very rarely) for main, and sometimes (also rarely) for other levels.
This just makes it hard on me when main gets griefed, and the last backup I have is from 3 days ago.
We had the wiki updated ready for 197 for later today release hopefully.
Put it this way, every time the colour changes in text &1 ect gets added to tag the colour. In certain rare cases this gets mixed with the word wrap and it makes the chat too long and causes a crash on clients.
Is the MCSharp team dead? Even in their forum no replies to bugs etc. (like: thank you, we noticed it and will look into it).
KakashiSuno is missing, and I'm currently refusing to commit to svn till he does a certain thing. Worst comes to it I make a new SVN and either continue or open source it.

Because some one didn't update the svn at one point so its back at the limits I added, I've changed it back to 50k hopefully for next proper release.
Still, it doesn't fix the whole "unloading and reloading a map resets the perbuild and pervisit info" problem, does it?
If you change the rank then quit and unload it instantly, the server wont have enough time to save the map as the info is stored with the level. To make sure please use the permission commands then use /save before unloading them.

More like in the first post of this thread ;D. I know it was pretty buggy, that's why I rewrote it. I saw you changed a lot, haven't tried it out yet but still good job. Nice to see someone who actually did something useful with this pile of shi- eh code.
Just two questions: Why did you remove the custom group feature? And why isn't it open source?
I don't honestly remember a custom group feature, not being open source just allows us to keep it stable plus the code was a mess. I still don't feel it needs to be yet but we do keep it in mind, no point having 50 different versions suddenly.
edit: For some reason the motd doesn't seem to be registering it resets to "Welcome to my server!" I'm not sure why.
I've started making the newer versions report in the log if it has any problems with the config settings and saves them to default so its clearer where its having problems. Name/Motd resets are caused by non allowed characters.
I don't understand, guests can use /goto command in my server since the April 1st Day update. You just have to set the map you want to let them to go with "/pervisit guest" and then save and then unload and then load the map. It sounds like a hassle but you only have to do this once. :biggrin.gif:
But not in the version I've linked to today to avoid a random exploit, I've coded into the config now variables to set if you want guests to have goto/levels or not (default false), plus a variable to set world chat or not (default true) but that currently isn't tested yet.
