CJ2311 posted a message on [1.7.3] Mods Revival (Peronix's mods updated)
    Disclaimer:

I'm not going to update Dual Wielding, so stop asking
The mods below were originally made by Cryect, then ported as stand-alone versions by Peronix.
Since Peronix didn't show up on the forums since May 29, I've taken the initiative to update his mods for MC 1.6.6, and now to MC 1.7.3 as well.
I'm posting these in a separate thread so I can keep track of the eventual bug reports and help requests.
Obviously, I'll take down the thread and downloads if Peronix comes back and asks me to.

I'd also like to thank CobaltStarr for providing a port of the sensors blocks and proposing to post it here for the sake of having all the ports together :smile.gif:

For more informations of each mod, check the original thread : Peronix's Mods

    How To Install:

First, make sure you have installed the latest ModLoader for the Minecraft version you're using.

In each downloaded archive, you'll find at least two of the following subfolders :
    - Put in jar : Extract all the folders and files from this subfolder in your minecraft.jar
    - Put in bin : Extract the file inside this subfolder in your ".minecraft/bin" folder
    - Put in launcher directory : Extract the SpeakerBlock or the ImportWand folders in the same folder as the one where you have your minecraft launcher (Minecraft.exe).
Example : If your launcher is on the desktop, then put the SpeakerBlock or the ImportWand on the desktop as well.

    Mods List:

    Boomerangs
    Fan Block
    Umbrella
    Power Staff
    Spikes
    Hookshot
    Magic Boots
    Sensors
    Speaker Block
    Magic Wand

    Boomerang:

These are the boomerangs from the AdventureCraft mod. they function like the ones in Zelda, and can be configured to hit buttons and switches, to collect items, and many other options that can be selected in their properties file.

    Fan Blocks:

The picture speaks for itself. Fans can be controlled with redstone, and punching them will change their power.

    Umbrella:

The umbrella from AdventureCraft, when you have it in your hands, it'll make you glide and negate fall damage, as well as propel you if you're over a fan block.
If you right click while holding it, it'll blow away entities.

    Power Staff:

The equivalent of the power glove from AdventureCraft.
Right click in red mode pushes blocks, Right click in blue mode pulls them.
CTRL + Right click switches modes.

    Spikes:

These spikes can be controlled with redstone, when powered, they are innocent looking, but when you remove their source of power, they'll instantly kill most creatures that go through them. They do not damage items though, which is why they're useful to make mob grinders.

I've rewritten the code of this mod so that spikes can now be placed on pistons and glass, as well as to improve the graphic update when changing the redstone state (it used to be buggy)

    Magic Boots:

There are 3 kinds of magic boots:
    - The Power Boots, which will make you run 1.5 times faster, and jump 3 block high.
    - The Hover Boots, which let you glide and negate fall damage.
    - The Heavy Boots, which will prevent you from being blown away by fans.

    Sensor Blocks:

Sensors can detect entities in a 15 blocks range. Opaque blocks in that range will block the beam, but ice, glass and other non solid blocks won't.
Wooden sensors detect all entities, stone sensors detects only living entities, iron sensors only the player, and netherrak sensors will only react to mobs.

    Speaker Block:

The Speaker Block can play .ogg and .wav files, it can be controlled using redstone.
Click here for a more accurate description on how it works.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE :
The 1.7.3 now uses the bin/SpeakerBlock folder to place the sound files instead of the launcher directory. That was changed so that Linux and MacOS can run it without problems.

    Brain_Cancer posted a message on [1.6.6]DeciCraft! Minecraft goin' decimals![SSP]
    DeciCraftv0.2

    My new mod!!

This is my first mod, so please don't say it sucks, because I know it does.
Decicraft basicly makes everything follow the decimal system; 1's stay 1's, 3's stay 3's, 4's become 5's, 8's become 10's, 16's become 25's, and the max stack is 100.

    Example
When you craft a diamond block, you still get 1 item(b/c 1 is metric and binary)

When you craft paper, you still get 3 items(b/c I could not find a fair amount)

When you craft planks from a log, you now get 5 instead of 4

When you craft cookies, you now get 10 instead of 8

When you craft minecart tracks, you now get 25 instead of 16

I also made some items more stackable and changed (in my opinion) some underpowered recipes.
    Signs: 5

    Detector and powered rails: 10

    Golden Apple: uses gold ingots

    Max Stacks

    etc.

    New Fuel
    Sticks burn 1 piece

    Wooden items burn 5

    Coal burns 10

    Lava Buckets burn 200.

    Sugar Cane burns 1

    Paper burns 1.5

    Books burn 5

    Cactus burns 1

    Saplings burn 1.

    >>>DOWNLOAD v0.2<<<

    4. click '.minecraft'
    5. go to your 'bin' folder
    6. open 'minecraft.jar' with WinRAR or similar
    7. delete the 'META-INF' folder

    9. drag all the files from modloader into your minecraft.jar
    10. open DeciCraft

    Gradient Pack v1.7

The Gradient Pack is a very simple texture pack that I created, that seems to give everything a gradient look. Here's some pictures I took of it in random multiplayer servers:

    Your basic Utillity:

    A home with grass:

Me and Monork2 exploring a cave:

The three types of trees, with some long grass:

Coal in the mountain and a cave to the side:

    Rock-like inventory:

    The mob spawner:

    FOUND DIAMOND:

    The Nether portal:

    Inside the Nether:

    Being attacked by a Ghast:

    Lightstone and zombie pigs:

    My beautiful room:

If you like this texture pack, download it here:
    Download Gradient Pack v1.7

If you didn't see in the pictures, some of the images are not changed from the original, and the reason for this is because the pack is still under development, and drawn using the pencil and eyedropper tool alone, so as you can imagine it takes a while to fill in every square. However, it's looking great right now. Feel free to leave ideas, what you like, or dislike about it, etc.

What is the ControllerBlock mod ?
This mod was created by Sunrise_78, I just updated it to the latest Minecraft version.

Basically, this mod creates 2 blocks : Changer, which has two states, and Controller, which controls these states, depending on whether or not it is powered (with redstone dust).
For example, if a Controller is powered, some of its Changers can change to dirt or stone, depending of the player's choice, and can change to cloth or disappear if the Controller is unpowered.
When a Controller block is created and placed on the floor, it creates 25 Changer blocks.

Here are the Controller and the Changer menus :

If you don't understand this description, check the 'How to use it ?' section :wink.gif:

    How to install it ?
    Quote from CyborgDragon »
    Windows:
    1) Open up %appdata%, if you don't know how to do this, start>run, then type in %appdata%
    2) Browse to .minecraft/bin
    3) Open up minecraft.jar with WinRAR or 7zip.
    4) Drag and drop the necessary files into the jar.
    5) Delete the META-INF folder in the jar.
    6) Run Minecraft, enjoy!

    Macintosh:
    1) Go to Applications>Utilities and open terminal.
    2) Type in the following, line by line:
    cd ~
    mkdir mctmp
    cd mctmp
    jar xf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar

    3) Outside of terminal, copy the class files into the mctmp directory.
    4) Back inside terminal, type in the following:
    rm META-INF/MOJANG_C.*
    jar uf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar ./
    cd ..
    rm -rf mctmp

    5) Run Minecraft, enjoy!

    How to use it ?
Here is a video tutorial made by gudenau (thank you !)

Here is the recipe of the Controller block :
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
:Iron: :tnt: :Iron: ( :RedShroom: = redstone dust)
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:

Here are the explanations from the author of this mod :
    Quote from Sunrise_78 »
    Explanations :
1_) Put the Controller Block On the floor
2_) When you right click it, 25 Changing blocks are offered to you
3_) Now, you can place anywhere you want from 1 to 25 changing blocs in a radius of 32 blocs near the Controller Block
4_) Right click one of those blocks and put one block in each slot depending what you want to do (leave blank if you want air)
5_) When you are done, double left click the Controller Block!
6_) Power or unpower the Controller Bloc to see the result

Note : You can set up only one Controller Block at a time! (But as soon as you double click, the block is set up and you can do it again !)
If you destroy some Changing Block when the Controller Block is ready, at the next change state, your controller Block will break and be turn into Gravel !
You can put lava bucket, water bucket and if you want changing blocks that spawn water, lava or fire!

There are many videos about this mod in its original thread.

    NEW !
I tried to make a banner for the mod, what do you think about this ?
