Honestly, this map and I have a love/hate relationship.

    THE GOOD

The map is incredibly well done. There's plenty to explore, the puzzles are innovative and brilliant, the dialogue is done well, and the storyline is very good. I also liked the scoring system and the side-quests.

    THE HORRID

I did encounter irritation when, as I walk in to read a new dialogue due to the old one being ripped off, my inventory immediately fills up with a while crudload of signs. Also, some parts seemed like they needed some streamlining in the design, or at least some details. I also was extremely frustrated with the ending, really. To me, it just seems as though it was based on luck. Whether or not you were lucky enough to do XXXXX or lucky enough to find XXXXX in XXXXX. Personally, I believe if something bad happens, you should be able to counter it, and not play through the entire three-hour map again.

Really, just my opinions. A lot of it was great, a lot of it was horrible. Overall, it's a very good map, and definitely worth my time. It just needs some polishing.

Feel free to review my map. It's called Decay. It's more storyline-oriented than anything else, but I'd love to hear what you think about it. :biggrin.gif:

    - Description

Decay is an adventure map specifically for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3. Your character follows the journey of one man, taking you through a large tower, deep underground, and even into the Nether. Quite a few easter eggs are hidden throughout the map, including secret chests, ingredients for a cake, and even a secret area with 3 notes that explain more of the story.

    - Rules

1 - SET THE DIFFICULTY TO PEACEFUL before beginning the game. If you don't do this, mobs (mostly creepers) WILL screw something up eventually.
2 - No breaking blocks other than clay.
3 - Gold Ingots are Bonus Points. These are just little easter eggs hidden in the game, just for kicks. There are 10 Bonus Chests hidden in the map, totalling at 10 gold ingots.
    4 - No placing blocks.
5 - Anything that is required for crafting will be next to a crafting table.
