Blight sheep occur in the world because I've... misspelled their ID in the config file :derp:. It is supposed to be Sheep, not sheep (the first letter is supposed to be upper case). Change that, and they will not become blights.
Also TerraArts adds NO dungeon loot and it's chests use regular dungeon item pool, which means that one of your mods adds dragon egg as a dungeon loot.
Another oddity I found: Despite sheep being blacklisted for blight consideration I stumbled upon two of them by now. One time even the millenaire byzantine who was the owner spawned as a blight (though I consider the latter one as understandable).
Nope, that structure is not added by any of my mods. My structures are mostly boxes of different types of stone bricks since I'm terrible at building
Heh. So am I. Though I really like the fact that you add lots of multiblock structures. I love mods with multiblocks and modular design. (Reika's mods)
Hmm, I removed Highlands for this new map, so maybe that caused some mods to actually starting to spawn worldgen. Magic forests from Thaumcraft already failed to properly spawn in Highlands, wouldn't surprise me if more was influenced by this. I guess I'll see a lot more structures this time around, which I never saw on my old map.
Just halved the chance for blights and stumbled upon the difficulty multiplier for the nether. I am also using Natura. Spiders ... spiders everywhere. <.<
I think I should start to fear spiders more than hungry nodes spawning in ocean biomes.
Edit: I seem to have stumbled upon a minor problem with one of difficulty life's configs.
# If this is set to %true%, then the default MC health regen mechanic will get replaced by the custom one, added by the mod [default: true]
B:enableCustomHealth=false
From what I am seeing ingame I am not regenerating any health at all, even with the regeneration II bronze armour from the mod soul forest. Switching to peaceful with a full hunger bar doesn't help either. I don't see any other config related to regeneration though. Am I missing something?
Yes, DifficultLife requires a player to actually progress extremely fast. If you feel that you are not keeping up you can always change the speed of difficulty increasement in the config file.
I believe that you can simply rename TConstruct's tools in the regular anvil - that should work just fine.
The regular difficulty increasement seems fine to me so far. I also just reached the point of being able to make a fairly high end crossbow, so I should have a lot less problems now. Maybe even the same for future blight encounters.
It's the blights that ruin my day.
I started to explore a bit to find some spruce for my millenaire village, when I had to fight 2 blights consecutively.
The skeleton was a nice challenge, but the zombie was outright mean this time. Made worse by my stupid idea of fighting him in water, since I thought reducing his speed would help. Swimming around below him was a silly idea however. Quickly lost sight of him and got ambushed. I think I should crank down the spawnchance for blights a little bit.
I also am dreading the time I get to the end. I am also using hardcore ender expansion and on my old map I already nearly died 4 times, when I had fairly high end armour with all the possible enchantments (dark steel form ender io). I don't even want to think about what would happen to this fight this time around.
Oh and another question: Does any of your mods add structures like this during world gen? I just stumbled upon something that looks like it supposedly mimics ruins. Though it looks a bit more like what I did to trees when I have a focus of equivalent exchange.
Nice bunch of mods there. So far I had the ... fortune to experience some nasty situations caused by difficult life. Killed by a blight zombie(94 HP to my 11 ) while in full diamond armour. But then again I was just returning from a mining trip and fumbled around with my pick instead of a proper sword.
Now about ... should be buffed tools if I*m not mistaken. I am aware that the development for that one is on hold right now, just wanted to point out a little odity: I made a flint pick, got the dull affix and then I upgraded the pick to iron.
However the tooltip still calls it a flint pickaxe and I also am unable to rename the pick at all at the tool station. It is only a thing of vanity on my end, being slightly irritated due to my precious iron pick being called flint, but I'd really like to know if there's some way for me to change that?
I just started using your mod and the first thing I stumbled upon was tin. Now since I also use several mods that spawn the same ore (disabled the spawn of every duplicate ore there already) I was wondering if you could add the possibility to disable ores spawning in your configs?
Sadly I can't give more feedback of any sort, since I just started a new world 5 minutes ago. Though I am looking forward to those gems, hoping they are sufficiently vibrant in colour.
Edit: On second thought, adding such a config option appears to be not too good an idea. Just made some bronze armour and noticed that this mod's tools and armour come with it's own tiered system.
Edit #2: I just got this silent crash when I was romping around a mystcraft age which had some soul forest biomes.
At least it looks to me like this thread is the right place to go. However, after restarting Minecraft I was perfectly able to log into said world and so far the crash hasn't happened again yet. So it's nothing too threatening apparently.
Scratch that, it did happen again a bit afterwards. Most likely due to new chunks loading. I guess I better abandon that mystage and try entering the soul forest itself to see if I get similar problems over there.

I'm not quite sure how, but either during the addition of either iron chests or computercraft I got the notification from forge that a more version of forgemultiparts was needed and after installing that and removing the old one I get the list of possible materials for patterns again. Though it still is cut off by the screen because metallurgy adds a ridiculous amount of materials.
Just tried that and it still didn't work. Then I removed everything but TC, TiC tooltips and iguanatweaks and it works again. I'm going to add my mods one by one now and report back when I found out which one causes the problem.
And I found what is causing the conflict: Extra TiC. I'll be going to post this problem over there now.
I ran into an odd little problem. I am unable to get the tooltip for allowed materials when I look at my patterns.
The other tooltips or materials and stats of completed tools however still work.
Versions are all up to date, just checked that. The only thing that changed from my current world to the previous one is the mods I use. I added a couple for my new map: Buildcraft, railcraft, Forestry, magic bees and hardcore ender expansion.
Could it possibly be, that any of those mods might interfere with TiC tooltips?
I don't have railcraft and it works. Do you have any mod which adds steel? Maybe that's the problem.
Ah, that's the problem then. I chose Metallurgy to have access to steel for Tinkers Construct.
I wasn't aware Witching Gadgets enabled steel itself, since I just now reached that point of research and have avoided spoilers.
Edit: Removing Metallurgy alone didn't seem to be enough. I guess I better start a new world and see if it works there.
Also removing AOBD, Extra TiC and TC itself doesn't change the fact that I am unable to make the blast furnace. Without those mods I don't really need the blast furnace anyway.
Just in case I missed something, here's a list of the mods I am using:
Ars Magica 2
AbyssalCraft
Aether II
AnimationAPI
Applied Energistics 2
Atum
Aura Cascade
Automagy
Blood Arsenal
Blood Magic
Botania
Buildcraft
CodeChickenCore
Crafting Pillars
CyclopsCore
Draconic Evolution
EvilCraft
Fastcraft
Forbidden Magic
GIlded-games-util
Mantle
Mystcraft
natura
NEI
Tainted Magic
TC Nodetracker
Thaumcraft
Thaumcraft MobAspects
Thaumic Energistics
Thaumic Horizons
Thaumic Infusion
Thaumic Tinkerer
The Elysium
The Erebus
Twilight Forest
Waila
Wawla
Witchery
Witching Gadgets
The suspected mods I removed are:
AOBD
ExtraTiC
IguanaTinkerTweaks
Metallurgy&MetallurgyCore
TConstruct
TiCTooltips
Guess I should just accept not being able to use the blast furnace and stick with TC and Metallurgy to get steel. Slightly bigger multiblock structure, but same functionality I guess. That slight loss of efficiency I can do without.
I read the description of witching gadgets again and I noticed Railcraft being mentioned, which I don't have. Could it maybe the case that the blast furnace is not working due to that? Not sure if the blast furnace depends on cross-mod content I might not have, the book mentiones nothing about that.
First of all I'd like to thank you for this quite splendid mod. I really like the writing/lore of it.
However I seem to have run into a small problem concerning the infernal blast furnace.
I doublechecked the thaumonomicon entry and have a fully charged gold capped greatwood wand and scepter, but right clicking on the multiblock structure with any of those two does not transform it into the blast furnace. Am I missing something here?
Try using NoMoreRecipeConflict. Allows you to toggle through all the recipes using that material configuration. Or just pop into the Runic Dungeon dimension. Tons in the chests.
That sounds like a nice solution. I'll give this a try.
Thanks!
Edit: It looks like this program is 1. only compatible with a lot older Minecraft version and thus 2. I don't think it's possible to install it at all, since it asks for minecraft.jar, which I seem unable to find.
Trying Minetweaker next, this one offers compatibiltiy with 1.7.10.
Also sorry for failing to mention what version I use. I just noticed I forgot to do that.

Heh, ok then. I'll do that.
I see, probably Draconic Evolution or HEE.

Another oddity I found: Despite sheep being blacklisted for blight consideration I stumbled upon two of them by now. One time even the millenaire byzantine who was the owner spawned as a blight (though I consider the latter one as understandable).
Baby blight
Another blight ...
... and it's owner
Could it be the case that I need to add "Minecraft" in front of the sheep in the config for it to register properly?
Edit: Oh wow, TerraArts is rather generous. I just found a dragon egg in a diamond chest. o.o

Ruins made of stone brick stairs
The renaming on the anvil worked, thanks for the pointer.

So I recently installed Biomes O'Plenty, got the expected biome ID conflict message and changed the biomes for Twilight forest to 2xx.
After logging in again I still got the notification that there are conflicting biome ID's. I tried changing them again, but the message persists.
Am I missing something? Or can that message be safely ignored?

My problem solved itself.

I just stumbled upon a minor problem/conflict.
When I use Extra TiC together with TiC tooltips I am unable to use shift to show the list of materials a pattern can be made with.
0

Ah, that's the problem then. I chose Metallurgy to have access to steel for Tinkers Construct.
I wasn't aware Witching Gadgets enabled steel itself, since I just now reached that point of research and have avoided spoilers.
Edit: Removing Metallurgy alone didn't seem to be enough. I guess I better start a new world and see if it works there.
Also removing AOBD, Extra TiC and TC itself doesn't change the fact that I am unable to make the blast furnace. Without those mods I don't really need the blast furnace anyway.
Just in case I missed something, here's a list of the mods I am using:
Ars Magica 2
AbyssalCraft
Aether II
AnimationAPI
Applied Energistics 2
Atum
Aura Cascade
Automagy
Blood Arsenal
Blood Magic
Botania
Buildcraft
CodeChickenCore
Crafting Pillars
CyclopsCore
Draconic Evolution
EvilCraft
Fastcraft
Forbidden Magic
GIlded-games-util
Mantle
Mystcraft
natura
NEI
Tainted Magic
TC Nodetracker
Thaumcraft
Thaumcraft MobAspects
Thaumic Energistics
Thaumic Horizons
Thaumic Infusion
Thaumic Tinkerer
The Elysium
The Erebus
Twilight Forest
Waila
Wawla
Witchery
Witching Gadgets
The suspected mods I removed are:
AOBD
ExtraTiC
IguanaTinkerTweaks
Metallurgy&MetallurgyCore
TConstruct
TiCTooltips
Guess I should just accept not being able to use the blast furnace and stick with TC and Metallurgy to get steel. Slightly bigger multiblock structure, but same functionality I guess. That slight loss of efficiency I can do without.

Yes, that's the case.

That sounds like a nice solution. I'll give this a try.
Thanks!
Edit: It looks like this program is 1. only compatible with a lot older Minecraft version and thus 2. I don't think it's possible to install it at all, since it asks for minecraft.jar, which I seem unable to find.
Trying Minetweaker next, this one offers compatibiltiy with 1.7.10.
Also sorry for failing to mention what version I use. I just noticed I forgot to do that.
