    I am unable to reliably recreate the crash. Sorry, but I really tried.

    Using the mods mentioned in the spoiler above, Minecraft suddenly refused to generate a new World for me. Or to be more precise: it crashed upon entering...
    But after checking for mod-install mistakes I am now able to create as many worlds as I want without causing the crash (Which is strange since my mod-order should be exactly the same as before), meaning the problem is more or less fixed.

    Maybe it was just bad luck and I got a bad seed that crashed my game because of my mod-combination. Maybe I accidentally fixed whatever was wrong with my game. Nevertheless, using MCPatcher's Errorlog I discovered these two lines:

    Unable to find spawn biome and Placed stronghold in INVALID biome at (50, -42)

    These lines appeared when I disabled all the vanilla biomes via extrabiomes.cfg but dont really seem to affect whether the game crashes or not. They just worried me so I wanted to point them out.

    Great Mod and I am looking forwrd to 2.0... but I do have a question:
    At the moment all the Biomes are just "normal" Overworld-Biomes, are there plans for Nether Biomes?
    Or for adding custom Portals to worlds where only a specific Biome is generated (just as an example).

    Since 2.0 seems to have a "Select Biome"-Feature I wont have to walk for miles until I find my favorite Biome again, and it seems to make the Portal Idea redundant. But I am playing ExtraBiomesXL together with Twilight Forest, and I always go there to gather building materials/wood since I dont want to destroy the "scenic view" when I construct another castle.

    Anyway, I really think portals to other worlds would fit perfectly into this mod, so I wanted to suggest this at least once (sorry if it was already discussed).

    If you're running out of block IDs:
    I solved that problem with Doridians 4096 fix. And if you get ID conflicts, add the ID-Resolver-Mod.

    I went to the DokuCraft Texturepack Forum, and someone explained to me that having a detailed list of what kind of block a Texture is used for would help getting it added as supported Mod.

    So I went ahead and did this (crude) Legend
    based on GeruDokus Texture for ExtrabiomesXL (For comparison, here the Original)


    I used Minecraft in CreativeMode to compare the Textures with the Blocks given... I dont know if anyone is able to produce a better version of this, but if there is a better verion available, it would be nice if someone could point it out for me. In the meantime, I want to complete the list but I am not able to assign the remaining textures with names/blocks. And I havent encountered all of the Items/Blocks ingame yet. Can anyone please help me completing this list? Just pointing out mistakes would also be very helpful.


    I know the Format is crap, but I cant Copy-paste it in here correctly... Tabs are not supported it seems >_>

    I've checked out the Texture-Spoiler in the 1st Post:
    Are there any other packs out there? Or just the textures? I am using DokuCraft my standard Texture-Pack, but it doesnt support ExtraBiomesXL nor the RPG Add-on (at least I havent found them on Minecraftcustomizer.net) and the blocks added through ExtraBiomesXL and the Addon are not fitting in graphically.

    And in case I do have to switch my Tex-Pack from Dokucraft to another... which one do you use?

    Ok, I went ahead and got a copy. I doubt I'll use them, but it never hurts to have them handy.
    I also found an Aethermod that is said to work with 1.2.5.

    Are ther other Mods that add new Realms/Biomes? Its kinda difficult to find them at all. The most common are Custom Maps where everything is set by hand, but I'm looking for randomly generated stuff (more interesting if its unknown)
    But I still have to admit that they looks awesome^^

    Like the Title already says, I am a complete newbie to Minecraft. I went and checked what kind of Mods there are, and I even browsed the MinecraftCustomizer a bit. I am mainly interested in Biome-Mods, or other Mods that add more things to explore/walk around in.

    Could anyone gimme a few pointers what kind of Mods I should look at?
    An example for what I am looking for would be the Aether-Mod or Twilight Forest. But in both cases I dont know if they're playable with 1.2.5...
