fair enough I withdraw my objection. Those sounds might be good for other mobs though, like that realistic t-rex might be a good pick for a lythronax or perhaps yutyrannus if either of them are planned down the road and the spino roar would be cool for suchomimus or baryonyx.
Hi devs, i have watched this videos about how the T-rex and the Spino would probably sound like and i would like you to give a though on changing the current sounds for this ones if you think that these are more accurate, thank you for viewing this and thank you for this amazing mod.
Tyranosaurus:
Spinosaurus:
Yes, god forbid we should use artistic license. Not to be rude, bear in mind this is minecraft, there's only so much realism anyone can put into this game Its also bad enugh people trash jurassic park while failing to remember the first two movies were made a decade prior to the discovery of all of the feathered dinosaurs unearthed in China that we sacrifice all creative ideas to make everything look the same. Some people are already downrating Super Mario Odessy simply for the fact the tyrannosaurus in the game lacked feathers and had an "unrealistic roar". I may be only speaking for myself here but the last thing I want is for this mod to get bogged down by too much realism resulting in all future updates taking forever to come out. We waited long enough for time travel, and its still a long ways off after all.
Now this is a duck that can scare anyone. Just imagine it... you leave your window open to let the cool air in as you sleep. To which your fast asleep but all of a sudden "QUACK".
hilariously enough the Dodos scare my friends whenever we pass by them lol
Are you guys going to update Spinosaurus? It's a little outdated imo. I think you should make it a bit longer but shorter and stouter, with longer arms and a sail that connects across the body. Also, a buff to Tyrannosaurus and a lowering of Spinosaurus. Recent studies suggest T Rex was even more powerful than previously though, and Spinosaurus even less.
that would make sense, plus my friend is aggrivated beyond belief trying to tame his spino anyway. But the only issue I see with a new model for spino is that would require a new set of animations most likely and that would take a while for the team to accomplish.
Sorry my dude. Can't really do anything about it now. But just think of it: once we have austro and microraptor in game, that'll be four really awesome dromeosaurs to compare to the terror birbs.
its fine realy, I now know what the deal is so I dont have to worry about it for a while. Microraptor is definitely a good substitute considering. There are a lot of tiny dinos who deserve a spot, especially considering how they lead to modern birds.
BTW are there any chances of symbiotic behavior planned? I figured I would ask since dinosaurs by definition would have to have symbiotic behavior like modern animals, and it would be interesting to see something of the sort featured. Often times hadrosaurs are seen in the company of ceratopsians, implying they'd compliment one another's shortcomings with regards to watching out for predators.
As much as I love utahraptor (seriously, it's my favorite dinosaur), I don't think it would be a good idea. The terror birds were added before we dug into the diversity thing, and at this point there's soooo many other things we need to focus on adding than just more raptors.
I based the color choices off of the Eurasian blue tit, and then the body pattern off of a snow leopard.
Well, thats a little bit annoying but given what you said about the terror birds being sort of an accident I can get what you mean now. The issue of the terror birds has been bugging me a bit for a while so this makes sense now.
hope we can get a utahraptor soon. I mean we have four terror birds whats one more raptor, really? Plus I hope to hear the JP raptor sounds put back in the game for either utahraptor or dakotaraptor, whichever one makes it into the mod.
I know this is kinda a long shot or step out of line, but could you give us a percentage of completion? You don't have to answer or anything just curious...
I gotta be honest I am too now given the announcement to shoot for 1.12 instead of 1.10
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Edit: Never mind I fixed the problem. I had to turn down the video settings in the menu. It seemed they were set too high by default, and it caused the game to crash when I started the world up
16 gigs? That alone should be enough. Your processor seems fine too I believe. What about drivers? Are they updated?
I'm pretty sure its accurate at this point, it wasnt fully quadruped but rather it had a stance like iguanadontids and hadrosaurids, but due to its size it stayed mainly in the water to support its weight better. I would wager in water it would be fully bipedal while on land it would walk on all fours.
a friend of mine and I joined the official server but we keep getting kicked out due to "fatal errors" hitting our systems. We're not sure whats going on as we're running the pack just fine
beckelspinax huh? At first I thought it was a spinosaurid, but it appears more closely related to the acrocanthosaurus. You might want to make the sail look a bit more streamlined since becky here looks a bit too much like a spino considering. But thats my opinion.
I just looked up some of the very limited info on Kayentapus. I think that it may be a coelophysis relative according to what little I found. I say this because the wikipedia link to 2017's paleontology review took me to a page discussing coelophysis trackways when I looked up the name Kayentapus, and some have stated the tracks looked much like a dilophosaur (early ceratosaurid) or ceolophysis. Considering circumstances I would say the ceolophysis may bethe more likely choice since Kayentapus is oddly large for even a Ceratosaurid. Certosaurus itself was barely 9 feet tall last I checked, this thing towers above it.

A bizarre prehistoric spider has been discovered! This thing appears to have a tail rather than a normal abdomen!

I couldnt quite remember, but I would expect being in water would help it a lot with standing up more.
