In my opinion, this has very limited uses. No servers I have ever played on have had these 'diners' you speak of.
I can not really be convinced that eating food off a plate is any more efficient than having food in the hotbar or in a chest.
As for looks, there are already pressure plates and item frames. No support.

Im just starting this series and its going to, of course, rock. Possibly in more ways that literally rock.

WHAT:
-An ongoing default Minecraft SSP lets play with commentary from yours truly and also rock!
-Informative for new players, rockin' for veterans xD
-More-or-less family-friendly
-ADVENTURE

WHEN:
-New episode every week, more or less.

HOW:
-I will be setting a goal for myself every day, and try to carry it out throughout the episode. Of course there are going to be a few of those unpredictable Minecraft moments.
-Episodes split into night and day, approx. 20 minutes

I love you man. Now i can have my classic minecraft and a blue bed with no extra junk. Awesome.

Are there any mods or texture packs out there that change the lighting from torches, lava, and other sources back to white light? For some reason the colored lighting is really getting on my nerves. If anyone knows of a mod or pack out there that just does this, please let me know.

I think Minecraft's current state is not about more height, it is more about bad usage of the height Minecraft has already. Most of the biomes except for Extreme Hills are flat as Kansas, (no offense kansasans, but your state is really flat), when there could be more mountains generated. This means more room to dig down because you'll start on top of a hill.

The game is out of beta, certainly past 1.4_04, and this is a wishlist, not much more to say.

One problem. Snow would not be able to coexist with other blocks unless the arrays for chunks are made twice the size they are now, or redefined every time snow occupies the same space as another grass/flower/etc.

I support. Minecraft is fairly bland since the new terrain generation for me.

This seems like a great idea, however, I do not like the crafting recipe, it's slightly complicated for Minecraft.

This is a brilliant idea, and it makes a lot of sense.

You could go into a cave with one iron pickaxe and no wood and survive! Awesome!

Doesnt seem OP because it uses as much ore as it would take to make a new one, technically.
