I've had a couple of surgeries so far, had problems after some of them but I have more health problems than most people do. I also know three people who've had surgery and only one of them had problems but those were caused by an alergic reaction.

Well there is a chance the doctor is the doctor from surgeon simulator 2013 but that's a like a 0.000001% chance of that ever happening.

I think I might have had him as my doctor for one of my surgeries...

Since I lost a lot of progress on my old save and it's been a while since I've played Minecraft I decided to start a new world. Playing on large biomes since I needed a large desert for something I want to build. Spawned in a snow biome right next to a desert. First thing I did was get some wood then dig a mine for iron. Ended up finding a mineshaft and explored it for a bit, found enough diamond for a pick and enchanting table. After that I starved to death right next to my spawn while fishing for food. Picked up all of my stuff and headed to the desert and found a village almost instantly got some books iron, armor and food. Night time was coming so I left the village and walked a bit deeper into the desert and built a tower for a base until I can build something to replace it. The next morning while looking for the top of my tower I saw another village and a pyramid. Got a saddle and iron horse armor from the pyramid. The village had some glitchy water in it.
Pictures of the water and my tower.

Gosh how long did it take to dig that quarry?

I'm not sure how long it took to mine it all up, about half of it was mined with stone tools and the other half was mined with diamond efficiency V tools. I do remember that it took around three or four hours to make the wall all stone without random patches of dirt in it.

Good job there! I like the style and I am impressed by the time you must have put into this! Have you been working more on it more recently?

Unfortunately I lost a lot of progress on it, I had to re-install my operating system and the usb that I had the most recent version of the save backed up on got corrupted. I do have some copys of the save still but their atleast three or four months of work lost.

I think the most rarely used, but not rarely talked about due to it's comedy value, is the diamond hoe. I mean, can anybody here honestly say they've ever made and used one other than for a joke?

I made one for when I built my wheat farm, it's a little over half broken now.

Started working on making a large flat area for my next project. I figure I'll need about an 80x100 area for it but working on making it 100x130 just to be on the safe side. Decided to build it were I made a 50x50 flat area to fight the wither at before. So mostly I just needed to fill in some of the holes and work on making the rest of the area around flatter. Ended up mining a lot of sand up and using almost 40 stacks of it to fill in holes, still have two double chests full of sand leftover. Here's what it currently looks like.

Also I noticed that Maze and I each have over six times as many posts as almost everyone else on this topic.

Just gonna post three of the biggest things that I've completed so far.

    Quote from cole2848

There are so many builds in the creative forum, but no one posts any here. Why not?

Because most of the threads posted here get moved to the screenshots section of the forum.

Took a break from working on my storage building and went mining for a bit. Ended up with over a stack of diamonds from the trip, about half of them came from finding 3 diamond veins close together. Saw two veins close to each other and a third vein was buried underneath of one of them. Also ended up finding a dungeon with diamonds near it, got 5 saddles and about 11 bread from the chests in it.

My advice would be get some protection 1 iron armor, potions of regeneration, an enchanted bow and sword. Then lead it out to a large flat area to fight it. You can look at the guide that I made for advice on how to actually fight it once you get it to a flat area. It shouldn't be too hard to beat it once you know what you're doing.

posted a message on THE NEW LAPIS TEXTURE? HOW ABOUT NO!
    Quote from a_doozy

you guys cry about any minor small change too?
    oh my god

To be fair if someone has something large built out of lapis they might have to change it around some due to the texture difference. Still not much of a reason to complain though.

    Quote from RickCrafter

This. People complain about changes while ignoring the obvious. There's community resources for EVERYTHING. Also, if you're gonna complain, you could at least do it about the terrain gen changes, or maybe the difficulty of the game. Y'know, something that affects it a little more. I mean, if you don't like change, fine, but this change:

    Isn't exactly groundbreaking.

It doesn't seem like much of a difference when you compare the two textures like that but if you go in game and build something out of lapis you can see more of a difference.

First one is the old texture, the second one is the new texture, personally I like the new texture more.

Wow. That was all built in survival? Nice.

Yeah, I have a lot of free time and not much else to do.

I've fallen off of hollowing out a mountain, and so many houses before in single player worlds. I have been trying to make a flying island on at least five different maps, but always end up dropping that.

That clocktower thing you have there, though, that really sucks. To run out of height after so much work is like the worst possible that can happen in a world...

A while after I gave up on it I figured out that I would have needed to start it on layer 7 to have it fit within the height limit. Also realized that there might not be enough endstone in the end if I finished the clocktower and tried building the rest of the mansion.

I've been playing Minecraft a while and over time I've started some projects that I ended up never finishing, I was wondering if anyone else has ever done this often. If so do you have any pictures of what it looked like when you abandoned it, any story behind why you were building it, or what was the reason that you never finished it?

For me I was building a village in a ravine that was under a lake, I first decided to build it when I was walking around and found an underwater ravine right next to a village, I figured I'd build an underground village with it since I never built much underground before.I ended up giving up on it because it was taking a lot of time and squids kept spawning in the lake above then they'd swim down and constantly fall on the fences and walkways.
Here's some pictures of what it looked like when I stopped working on it.

After giving up on that I decided to build something on the surface instead. I decided I would built a large mansion, I started with building a clock-tower for it I ended up finding out that it was going to be to tall to fit within the height limit after placing around 20,000 blocks. After that I gave up on building the rest of the mansion and stopped playing that world.
Here's a picture of what it looked like.

On one of my worlds I was doing the City Construction Challenge, one of the challenges I had to do was build a market area for my town. I decided to build it floating in a nearby ocean. I planned for it to have a large building in the center and have the surrounding area be made of wool in different patterns with a couple of shops and stalls on them. I ended up not liking the wool patterns I made and since it was built over an ocean if I tried to mine up the wool so that I could reuse it and try out a different pattern it would fall to deep into the ocean for me to get it back without drowning. In the end I just left it there half finished and started building something else.

So what are your stories about any projects that you gave up on?

Most of the time if I want exp but don't want to deal with mobs I go to the nether and mine up nether quartz. Gives 2-5 exp and it's easy to find.

posted a message on Do you think Mineshafters and Torrent downloaded Minecrafters are fair?
    Quote from Biiim

So i think is like Notch (Or jeb ?) said. Crack the game. If you like it, buy it.

When Notch said that he was talking to someone who asked if they could have a free account before they pirated it. He told them to that person to just pirate it. Just because he told one person who was already going to pirate the game to do that doesn't mean he's actually fine with people pirating Minecraft.

If you want to know what Notch actually thinks about piracy read this. Or if your to lazy to read the entire thing I'll just quote part of it.

"Please don’t interpret this text as me being fine with people pirating Minecraft. I’d MUCH rather have people pay for it so I can reinvest in hiring people and developing more cool games in the future."
