Ah. My apologies. I skimmed the first page and didn't see anything, and last time I checked Notch's twitter he was talking about IKEA beverages so I figured I'd post. Oh well!
There's currently a bug that causes a player to drop into the negative HP range on death and they become invisible, invincible and won't be able to pick up any blocks. I finally found a way to fix this today without having to get an admin to reset you.
Step 1: Eat a bunch of food. I have no idea how much is enough as it really depends on how far into the negatives you slipped. I ate 3 loafs of bread and that did the trick.
Step 2: Log out. Log back in.
Step 3: You'll die immediately after joining. Hit respawn. Voila: You're fixed.
Hope this helps people still having the issue since I haven't seen a viable solution posted on the forums yet.
With the release of health and actual mob fighting, I have a request:
A toggle/flag/setting that DISABLES the use of warps, home and spawn commands for x seconds after taking damage. Perhaps 3? 5? It's just annoying that people on my server abuse it whenever they encounter a mob instead of fighting or fleeing on foot.
Not that I've seen yet. The invisible thing is kind of a pain in the ass. I've just been teleporting around occasionally and making people relog/booting them so they're visible again. :/
Argh... could someone mention to the hey0 devs that instead of using jt.class, they should make a new class that extends jt, then edit ep.class so that the jt variable is an instance of the new class?
I passed it along to the hMod forum. Hopefully hey0 sees it.
Step on that -> Get trapped by the top of the fence, even though there's a block on top of it.
Using that all over the place you can effectively make a path where you CAN'T SEE THE PATH. It would be a matter of trial, error and frustration. For an added bonus add some 3D elements to the maze so they can fall directly onto the middle of a step-fence.
Hope that helps your mission for inefficiency.
(Breakfast stair joke was literally the best thing ever. Literally.)
You could set all 3 players to be ops/mods/admins. Then you can just use /give and spawn all your building materials.
2. If you don't go out the server ip to anyone else, you shouldn't have any unexpected visitors. But you could get a whitelist to keep other people out.
3. Map is saved locally. So the same person would have to host, unless you sent the world folder to one of the other's.
Gonna go ahead here and say the next most important thing is proper server-side inventory. Past that point SMP will be (in my eyes) stable enough that he can go back and start adding even more stuff, or doing bug fixes in any given order.
Stuff like more recipes, flood gates, dyes and SMP nether would be appreciated, however.
(I've been stock piling eggs, milk and wheat for ages now. I'm gonna be the best bakery in town.)
I can only assume that working health would mean working item durability. It is a health in itself after all. If not, I'd expect it soon after. Then we're one step closer to a more awesome SMP.
Rules updated and added to the webpage. Cartographer updated to the 19th.
We'll be adding a way to view the map on the webpage soon. That includes the ability to zoom in/scroll around directly on the site. Expect that some time next week, hopefully. :smile.gif:

Although lately even having walls around it has been messing up the spawn, I'm hoping Notch fixes it up a bit.
