    I think it would be a good idea to make lapis be necessary for SEEING the results, so you can enchant without them, but its a pure dice roll

    Fair balance that way, you don't get the new ability to view what the enchant does, yet you aren't entirely restricted.

    Firekit, I think you are being sarcastic (I hope) But honestly we shouldn't give people ideas for suggestions on that.

    Quite simply making hunger a problem for people whom are stockpiling diamond blocks and have automated wheat / meat farms is 100% impossible without negatively effecting new spawns, since things don't scale in minecraft (scale as in borderlands level system I mean. Items are the same no matter where you are in the game, they don't get any better just because you are late game, enchantments aside.)

    Only possible idea I could think of was having VERY small buffs for each food group (meat, veggies, grain, fruit) And make you perform SLIGHTLY (very slightly) better if you have eaten those foods in the past day or 2. But, people said that idea would be overpowered for pvp (though pvp is already a mess) so I doubt that would work either.

    In reality, talking about it being too hard to starve endgame is like saying slimes in terraria are too easy once you hit endgame. Its not because slimes (or starving) are broken easy, its because they are a starting concern in the game, and become something which you only brush off later. Another analogy is a dollar would be worth much less to a millionaire because he is a millionaire, while your average guy values them a bit more because he has less money.

    And having zombies breaking blocks is a terrible idea, it would just be a grief mob like the enderman was back in the day.

    The issue is you CAN'T make hunger a challenge for endgame people without starving out new players. There was issues before with nerfing bonemeal horribly, and that had enough problems.

    You simply can't make hunger a challenge late game and keep the rest balanced, it wont work.

    I can't believe people would make 13 pages of complaining (I know not everyone here is complaining, I'm just saying it that way) About a re-texture / rename. Sure I think its odd that they would rename the rose to "poppy" but the new texture is nice, and if I only made 1 complaint about minecraft current / recent updates, this would not even go through my mind. Instead, I would think of the zombie spawning problems, not a rename and re-texture.

    I swear, some people on here need to do more research, and get some perspective on things, because the rose isn't gone, it just got a new name and texture, THAT'S IT

    Remember : a rose of any other name still smells the same =P

    Nope, silver-fish are based off a real critter(of the same name) which dwells in moist places, feeds on pretty much anything (paper, dead skin, whatever) And can go a very long time without food(about a year I think). They are pretty difficult to get rid off, but are thankfully both harmless in real life, and MUCH smaller than the minecraft variety.

    Heres a picture of the real thing, they don't get bigger than a half inch long though normally.

    As someone who has dealt with them, they are kind of gross, but the minecraft variety are much more annoying than the real thing.

    Also ward, just a tip for future reference, search around the wiki a bit before making a post about something you think is new, helps answer the question at hand, and is a wealth of info.
