You kind of forget that it has a function and a really nice particle effect that would make anyone's home that much better. Also imagine your bragging rights when your home has multiple beacons around it. It doesn't take a lot to show off.

Okay. Lets combine it with a gold sword to get a special effect. They could add other properties to this item. But really Minecraft is not been known for reward it's players for anything.
(My thoughts: WitherStone would be an epic drop. Who knows what mysterious powers it could have. It could wither/poison creatures around it).
Some sort of wands would be a nice edition...being able to summon lightning / fire / ice / ect. a good toy if nothing else.
Its just a grind to get them though....If someone really wanted they could spawn this on a server, given a nether portal, time, exploration, and patience.

He will "eat" a 3x3 hole in any material if he doesn't have a direct path to the player. Apparently, he won't become aggressive if there's never a line of sight between his heads and you.

There is no way you tried that, or you did it wrong, because he won't shoot at any mobs he cannot see, including the player....
However, I suggest you kill your first wither boss real style.
Exactly; equate it to the first time you played minecraft. How many times did you die before you got it right? A lot.
Read my bloody post, I said he EATS the wall. He gets near the wall, and destroys a 3x3 section of the wall, this has enough power to destroy obsidian, and he does it to anything in his way, regardless of what hes agro on.
Finally a very VERY hard mob comes into the game, with quite the reward, only for experienced players, and people ***** about it being too hard. ****ing wow. This is an optional boss fight guys, meant to be a ***** to get through. It is killable, just a very difficult process. Yes games should take effort sometime. In a game where eventually you get to a point where you have a farm for EVERYTHING and are afraid of NOTHING, this comes along to break the monotony. this does NOT work. he eats the walls as soon as you touch him. only way it would work is if it was made out of bedrock, as he even eats obsidian.

Youtube account takes nothing to make....as for capturing it, I have no experience in the mater but fraps, bandicam, hypercam, just to name a few....a google search or 2 could easily answer any questions.
i only play on hard and i am not whining i have battled him many times and have not lost And really HIS HEALTH REGENARATION SUCKS

Also I wouldn't mind the difficulty as much if the jump from difficulty didnt go from casual (creepers, skeletons, ghasts, blazes, zombies) to insane, terraria skeletron prime difficulty.

Hypothetically I think spawning him in the end and getting a few dozen endermen to beat the living bejesus out of him would work... but still.

I constructed it exactly as shown, and while he didnt shoot at me, he moved around, breaking the walls to bits.
