    Reminds me of guys from trey-arch (i think) getting death threats over adjusting gun performances. Sure, these aren't death threats but people are still making this much bigger of a deal than it should be.

    Just remember, its a reskin / name change, nothing more. And to boot, the "mod it in" excuse actually has merit now, since this would be a PERFECT starter mod project.

    Firekit, I think you are being sarcastic (I hope) But honestly we shouldn't give people ideas for suggestions on that.

    Quite simply making hunger a problem for people whom are stockpiling diamond blocks and have automated wheat / meat farms is 100% impossible without negatively effecting new spawns, since things don't scale in minecraft (scale as in borderlands level system I mean. Items are the same no matter where you are in the game, they don't get any better just because you are late game, enchantments aside.)

    Only possible idea I could think of was having VERY small buffs for each food group (meat, veggies, grain, fruit) And make you perform SLIGHTLY (very slightly) better if you have eaten those foods in the past day or 2. But, people said that idea would be overpowered for pvp (though pvp is already a mess) so I doubt that would work either.

    In reality, talking about it being too hard to starve endgame is like saying slimes in terraria are too easy once you hit endgame. Its not because slimes (or starving) are broken easy, its because they are a starting concern in the game, and become something which you only brush off later. Another analogy is a dollar would be worth much less to a millionaire because he is a millionaire, while your average guy values them a bit more because he has less money.

    And having zombies breaking blocks is a terrible idea, it would just be a grief mob like the enderman was back in the day.

    Honestly saying they took this from the mod is kind of a moot point, its like the southparks "Simpsons did it" episode. Might be true, but with how many mods added over the years most things added in vanilla could be labeled as a rip off like this.

    On topic I hope maybe this means they are redoing endermen some, they BADLY need a change. Its sad how easy it is to evade them, they are a non threat most of the time (outside the end) At least to me. Doesn't even matter how close you are, you could be spooning an enderman long as you don't make eye contact / beat him.

    The issue is you CAN'T make hunger a challenge for endgame people without starving out new players. There was issues before with nerfing bonemeal horribly, and that had enough problems.

    You simply can't make hunger a challenge late game and keep the rest balanced, it wont work.

    While minecraft has had some questionable choices made in development (zombie AI, internal servers for single player) The direction is still good, and I can't help but appreciate continued updates. Were they any other company they could easily of stopped updating and just ran with the money, but they choose to stay with the game. Even if some updates I dislike, I still appreciate continued development.

    And before you guys say "well there are always mods", mods require compatibility with each other, so everything added in the main game is something you no longer need to worry about being compatible.

    Yes I did. I TRY (usually) to look around a little before I form an opinion on something, so searched a bit, and it turns out that it was only a re-texture/ rename.

    Storms like this aren't new though, there was one for the "new" cobble texture back in the day, and the food outlines being removed, etc. But usually it didn't get THIS big.

    Sad part is some people truly believe that a re-texture / rename means its an entirely different thing. This argument is so flawed its laughable, especially since the texture wasn't COMPLETELY redone, just refined to look nicer.

    If they make new structures they need to focus on open ended structures, as apposed to copy / pastes like the jungle temple. Variation keeps stuff fresh, Structures get boring if one of them is the same as all the rest (besides the loot of course)
