Rockboy3970 posted a message on Your Own Villages(Get Satisfaction)Posted in: Suggestions
So notch HAS now implement Villages, Well what fun are villages if you cannot rule them?, You cannot design them?, Control them?, Make them?
So I suggest a System of were you can create your own villages, but it requires some work too make them.
The Start will be like the Millenaire Mod, You sell the villagers resources till you can afford a "Village Wand".
After That you take the wand and head out to your desired spot and place the wand, Upon Placement 6 Settlers will spawn and X amount of wood will be removed from your invintory (For counstruction of the town hall) Then the wand will break into item format again and be returned to you.
The Villagers will then Build a Town hall, there will be chests in h hall were resources are stored, and there will be signs (Like in millenaire mod) that say the Name of the Town a Map and population count.
After That you can make a
House Flag
Cost: 164 Wooden Planks
(8X8 floor)
Crafting:
= Wood Planks
---
Interaction:
By placeing this on a spot the settlers will counstruct a house (and it will remove X wood from your invintory and/or the village chest)
A house can hold
1 Male Adult
1 Female Adult
2 Children
(A Basic Family)
If your Villagers dont have houseing after 2 minecraft days they will leave.
You can get villagers 3 ways
Natural Growth (Your villagers grow up, more children are spawned, etc)
Travelers (Over time random travelerswill setle in your town hall for the night, if there is housing avilble there is a 50% chance they will join your vilage)
Bribing Others (If you go to another village you can bribe there villagers with gold ingots to come over to yoru village, there must be housing avlible or they will just take your gold but this will also anger the village leaders and they might become your enemy)
Luberjack Flag
Cost: 42 Wooden Planks
Man Requirements: 1
Crafting:
Interaction:
Same as the House Flag
When placed, it needs wood and saplings to start
Quarry Flag
Makes Stone and etc
Man Requirements: 1-4 (Upgrades)
Crafting:
Interaction:
Needs Wood ,Picks and Shovels to start
When placed it counstructs a quarry house and a fenced off pit area, were it is mined down too X level then mined out underneath the village
This Returns Certain Ores (depending on picks being used) and whatever materials are in the area.
Wen you rightclick on the chest it brings up an option screen were you can choise what picks and shovels for them to use (Wood, Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond).
Carpenter Flag
Very important
Cost: 163 Wooden Planks
(7X7 Base - 6X6 Top)
Man Requirements: 1
Crafting:
Interaction:
Needs wood to counstruct
The carpenters very important to getting your village running the carpenter makes the needed, Axe's, Picks and Shovels for the village, along with other craftibles like buckets, allowing you too do more without having too supply the village with tools.
Blacksmith Flag
Man Requirements: 1
Crafting:
Interaction:
Needs Wood and cobblestone to build
The blacksmith is the next step up from the carpenter he makes the villages
Swords and Armor, also he makes things that need too be smelted like Iron, Gold, Glass etc
When you sellect the chest GUI you have the option of what he uses for burning (Saplings, Sticks, Wood, Coal, Lava Buckets, Etc)
Farm Flag
Has multiple farm options
Man Requirements: 1-2 (Upgrades)
Crafting:
= Surgar Cane, = Pumpkin Seed, = Watermelon seed
---
Interaction:
The corisponding item results in that farm, all farms require wood to build, The wheat, Sugar cane, Watermelon, and Pumpkin farm all need water
Ranch Flag
Ranching!
Crafting:
= any color wool, = Leather
Interaction:
Same as farm pretty much, the farmers grow what ever animal selected for resources, requires water
Kennel Flag
Baby wolves!
Man Requirements: 1-2 (Upgrades)
Crafing:
= Bone
= Wool
---
Interaction:
To build this you need Bones and wood, The Kennel breeds wolves and such to protect the villagers, you will see the wolves playfully running about the village hunting random wild animals, at night they will stay inside the kennel to hide from monsters
Necro Flag
Farming materials
Crafting:
(This is all one craft, NOT 3 single flags)
Interaction:
Wouldent it be great if you could farm monsters?
Well I give you the Necro-hold, it is basicly a darkend underground obsidian room, were the "Dark Wizard" (or whoever aplied for the job XD) conjures up monster spawners
Now the room will require obsidian, LOTS of obsidian to build
now when built you can have the wizard make you a monster spawner, you must give him 20 Mossy cobblestone, 2 Diamonds, and an object of whatever you want the spawner too spawn (Gunpowder, Bones/arrows, Rotton Meat)
Monster Farm
Crafting:
= preferd spawner type
Interaction:
When placed this makes a monster farm, it will be made out of obsidian and placed in a roofed pit, too make this farm you will need a Gaurd Tower, Barracks, Archery, Iron-shop, and at least 2 free archers and 5 free soldiers
with this they will construct a room that farms the slected monsters, this could be usful for getting bones for kennels, arrows or Gun powder
Barrack Flag
Revenge!
Man Requirements 1-10 (Upgrades)
Crafting:
= Sword (of any type)
---
Interaction:
Needs Wood and swords to build
With the barracks your asigned villagers will guard the village at night, attacking monsters collecting there loot, also they will bring along any wolves from the kennels to aid them in there battle
You can select the GUI chest and choise what Sword types and Armor Types to wear
Guard Tower Flag
Long range Revenge!
Man Requirements: 1-4 (Upgrades)
Crafting:
= String
---
Interaction:
Needs wood to build
The Guard tower will hold archers which stand atop there tower watching for any monsters then striking down arrow vengence on there heads!, Works best with barracks as you can provide range suport from the towers while the soldiers collect the loot/finish them off
Archery Flag
Cost: 205 Wooden Planks
Man requirements: 1-6
Crafting:
Interaction:
Needs wood and string too build
The archery trains archers to man guard towers and strike revenge on monsters!
Dock Flag
Man Requirements: 1-4 (Upgrades)
Crafting:
= Boat
---
Interaction:
Needs Lotsa Wood to build and Fishing Rods
The dock will go out and retreive inksacks from squid and fish for fish.
Trader Flag
Give me money!!
Man Requirements: 1-5
Crafting:
Interaction:
Needs wood and Gold to build
The trading center Generatoes Gold for your village
If there are other villages within a X radious of the trading center that also have a trading center a 3-block wide road will be built to that village
This will Increase the amount of money being made
There will be 5 traders each one sellign something difrent
Resource Trader
Things like iron, dirt, glass, etc all block items
Tool Trader
Sells Shovels, Picks, Axe's, Shears
Weapon Trader
Sells Swords and Armor
Craftibles Trader
Sells things like Buckets, Stairs, Ladders
Rarity Trader
Sells the rarer things like Obsidian, Minecart Tracks, Minecarts, Redstone things
Steam-shop Flag
Steampunk!
Man Requirements: 1-2
Crafting:
Interaction:
When placed builds a "Steam Shop" needs wood, iron, cobblestone, and coal
When counstructed it needs everything else except Docks
the Steam Shop basicly puts your village into a more modern age, your villagers can now make pipes, Steam Engines (Furnaces with a bucket of water and steam), and most importantly Minecart Tracks, and all minecarts. Once the shop is built tracks will be built alongside the trading roads and minecarts built for it (this will increase the amount of money made by the trading center, also it increases the range of the roads), also quarrys will turn into mines, and go from going 10 blocks down to 30 blocks down with minecart systems and then can hold up to 10 people.
Electric-shop Flag
Steampunk? more like LASERPUNK
Man requirements: 1
Crafting:
= Redstone
---
Interaction:
When built needs wood, iron, gold, stone, redstone, coal
The electric shop isnt achually its own building you use the wand by placing it liek you wee upgrading the steam shop, this builds the shop onto the steam shop, The electric shop
creates all redstone stuff and Electric minecart tracks, this increases the range of your trade centers to INFINITE as long as the materials are avlible, also this alllows mines to go down to the bottom of minecraft, it also increase the miner count max to 50 people (MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE!)
also the peopel start mining out underground tunnels for railroads n such. Also the electric age improves the wheat and sugar cane farms with piston colection systems, increasing the production rate by a bit
Now Buildings when spawned will have a sign on them, these signs will etheir show the name of who lives there or what the name of the building is, by right-clicking on this sign you open the buildings GUI were you can choose to upgrade too a better material, or a biger better building.
Now you also need to man buildings, to do this you right-clickon a villager with anything this opens the villagers GUI, click "Hire" then walk over to a building and right-click its sign, this assigns that person to that job.
Also You will probably always have excess vilagers, so when you open a villagers GUI you will have 3 options for a temp-job
Hunter
- Makes them go out and hunt animals for there resources
Lumberjack
- Makes them go out and chop down wildtrees n such, they also collect saplings and leaf blocks
Collecter
- Goes out and collects sugar cane, flowers, pumpkins, etc all the colectable items
I think that is ALL please counstructive criisisim and any sugestions.

SabbyKat posted a message on 1.9 - FAQ's, Release Dates, and more!I AM EXTREMELY BUSY IN REAL LIFE ATM, AND AS JEB HAS CONFIRMED THERE IS CHANGES AND MORE ADDITIONS COMING IN THE NEXT PRE-RELEASE, I AM UNABLE/HOLDING OFF FROM UPDATING THIS UNTIL THEN!! (Assuming it's within the next few days - I can update this by Tuesday hopefully).Posted in: 1.0 Update Discussion
This is a thread dedicated to ALL known information on the 1.9 (beta) update! Please note, this is just a preview to 1.9, and known information.
I am trying to keep it as up to date as possible, with every new bit of info I discover that is from a reliant source, being added. If you have something here I have not yet added, please post it! I can only do so much as one individual, and I may miss some tidbits of info.
Please keep SPECULATION out of here! (my friend heard this from his friend, who knows Notch!), and please cite your sources! Videos, credible images, twitters, google+ posts, and such things from Mojang Staff are key to us proving without a doubt, what is posted here is FACT (or at least showing evidence to a valid possibility for 1.9).
This thread is in a BETA stage of creation, as I am still adding info, tidying it up, fixing typos, cross-confirming information, etc etc, so please bare with me, and suggest any constructive ways to improve it. :smile.gif:
Release Date:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Common Rumors and Misconceptions – the Truth
- THERE IS NO CONFIRMED OR SPECULATE RELEASE DATE FOR 1.9 YET!! No, it is not (insert date), there is no official speculation. Stop.
- 1.9 is considered both the second-half of 1.8, and in itself, a new update with even more content. It is not one or the other, but both the parts of 1.8 that did not make it, as well as new additions. - (CONFIRMED)(source - video link)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nether Additions
Nether Strongholds
- with 1.9 came the addition of Nether Strongholds! These are different then their overworld cousins, as they are not hidden in the ground but wide open to the elements of the Nether.
- They are composed entirely of Nether Brick, and Nether Brick Fences, with lava utilized for light inside.
- Netherbrick Fences are used in windows, as gates, and as decoration.
- There are Spawners inside special rooms that Spawn the new 'Blaze' Mob.
- Over-all the Strongholds seem rather empty at this moment, lacking much detail being more of a skeleton.
- Strongholds can be from very small, to quite massive (around 100x100) and some chambers do extend underground/into walls out of view.
Nether Brick
- Netherbrick is a new brick variation of Netherrack, and is quite a deal more durable.
- it is not craftable atm, instead only acquirable from Nether Strongholds.
- It is used to craft Nether Brick Stairs, and Fences.
- It is still flammable like Nether-rack.
- It is also rather appeasing to the eyes, compared to its 'raw stone' form.
Nether Brick Fences
- These are formed in an identical crafting recipe of wooden fences - 6 nether brick across the bottom 2 rows on a crafting bench.
- They are more durable then wood fences.(?)
Nether brick Stairs
- They are formed the same way you create other stairs. 3 nether brick at the bottom, two in the middle-right, 1 in the top right producing 4 stairs.
- They do are not able to be lit on fire.
Blaze
- Blazes are humanoid monsters, which are able to float in the air, and fire fireballs down at foes.
- When they are about to attack, they are engulfed in flames.
- They fire not one fireball, but THREE per volley.
- After they attack, they have a 'cooldown' and emit black smoke, instead of their typical flame-covered bodies.
- They drop an item called a 'Blaze Rod'. This item, currently, has no purpose.
- Unlike Ghast fireballs, Blaze fireballs are NOT explosive, meaning they do not damage blocks.
- However, their fireballs WILL light you on fire if they strike you.
- Need clarification on their damage, movement speed, behavior, etc!
Magma Cubes
- These are in all literal senses, Nether Slimes.
- They split into smaller version when defeated (even with a sword it seems).
- They have no special abilities.
- They hit the same as normal slimes.
- They do not light you on fire on hit.
- They do not leave lava trails behind themselves when moving, nor on death.
- They do NOT die in lava, nor will they drown when under it.
- Their ability to escape lava, if 2 blocks or more deep, is limited. They will be practically trapped and unable to escape.
- They drop nothing at this moment.
Ghasts
- Ghasts fireballs have been altered into 'magma bomb' appearing projectiles.
- Ghasts drop 'Ghast Tears' instead of Gunpowder. It currently has no known use.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
General Gameplay Additions and changes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Villages and NPCs
Trading
- Trading MIGHT be in with 1.9. How trading will happen, is unknown at this moment.
- NPCs will probably trade with you, after you have helped them. What does 'help' mean? We have no idea yet! - Source
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Combat Modifications
- None known so far.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Monster Additions and Modifications
- Bosses are a very possible addition to 1.9, as they are confirmed being worked on, and confirmed NOT to be ready for 1.8 - Source source
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Skills, Experience points, and Levels
Skills
- Skills will be in 1.9 (CONFIRMED)
- Skills are speculated by Notchs description, to be perks. Faster run speed, faster mining, and such things. (UNCONFIRMED) Source: Stated at PAX, hunting twitter down now. (Notch only speculates on possibilities - not confirmed by him)
Experience Points
- Nothing new about these yet.
Levels
- Nothing new on these yet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
New block additions
- Nothing known yet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Crafting Recipes and Modifications
- A possible purpose to Rotten meat?
- Possible Addition of more Stairs, half-steps, and other such blocks, utilizing such materials as Obsidian, different woods, and more. (SPECULATION) (Mojang has been slowly phasing in more and more of these, so it is likely they wish to add even more for variety - however not confirmed/hinted at for 1.9 yet)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Terrain modifications
Giant Mushroom Biomes - the Corruption!
- ...It seems the Mushrooms are not peaceful, wonderful homes, but in fact evil, corrupt plants hell bent on domination of this world! - Source
- The Giant Mushroom Biome has a new, sickly colored grass that appears to be a violet tinge, amongst having no trees, and its populated animals seem to be 'infested' by Mushroom Spores... a disturbing, yet exciting turn of events! - Source
- There also appears to be an odd block in the distance, half-gravel, half dirt almost. But it's too far off to confirm a new block - possibly a new side-blending of the mushroom biome's grass, nothing more. - Source
- The Name of infected cows, unofficially, are 'MooShrooms'... yeah. - Source
- 'MooShrooms' can be sheared to collect mushrooms presumably. - Source
Abandoned Mineshafts
- Abandoned Mineshafts will receive some improvements in this version.
- A new 'bug' on 1.8 looks like a code slipped in 1.8.1, intended for 1.9 update to Mineshafts, making their support pillars MUCH less of a grievance, as well as adding in torch posts, amongst other possible things! - Source
Volcanic Biomes
- Volcanoes are a very large possibility to be added in 1.9 after Notch showed strong interest in them (UNCONFIRMED) Source - Source 2 -
- It is uncertain how large, how rare, nor what purpose Volcanoes will serve if added. They will likely NOT be the size of a biome, but similar to strongholds, and Mine shafts, being a 'addition' to Biomes, likely the largest 'addition' to existing Biomes. (UNCONFIRMED)
- One can assume Volcanoes will NOT erupt due to the strain on the world to update hundreds of blocks at once. (UNCONFIRMED – But almost confirmed, as mention of this to Notch in Twitter, he gave a rather negative response to this idea due to the massive amount of block updates it would incur) (source)
- One can further assume, lava 'rivers' and chasms will dot the sides of the Volcano, and that Obsidian may be very common on Volcanoes. (UNCONFIRMED – But Likely due to the nature of Volcanoes, and Obsidian being Volcanic Glass).
- One may also assume, Diamonds and other rare minerals will be present on these dangerous, rare terrain features, pushed up from the volcanic eruption and activity that formed the Volcano. Though for balance reasons, this is unlikely. (UNCONFIRMED - SPECULATIVE)
- No confirmed new mobs, items, or details that may be in Volcanoes, or on their biome.
Rivers
- Rivers MIGHT gain currents, and varying heights. Hinted at by Notch and Jeb, not confirmed further then speculation on their parts. (UNCONFIRMED) (source)
- Addition of lava Rivers for Volcanic, and possibly Nether Biomes a possibility (SPECULATION)(Makes sense for both - but no evidence to back this)
- No confirmed new mobs, items, or details that may be in Rivers.
[s]Swamps
- Swamps exist in 1.8. However, after a flood of feedback, Notch has vowed to improve them further! We have no information yet of what he will add, but we can assume a murky fog and brown, scummy water will be key additions to give it that swampy atmosphere!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Other
Rotten Flesh
- No confirmed uses for this in 1.8, or 1.9 yet.
Land Claim Flags
- Land Claim Flags are a possible new addition to be added specifically for SMP. If an admin/op gives a player one of these items (presumably no natural way to create them due to abuse), and a player places it down, it will claim a unknown amount of land around the flag. Only players who planted the flag, or are on an 'allow list' can modify or blocks within the affected area. - Source
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Animals and Breeding
- Breeding has been confirmed to be pushed back to 1.9 Source
- No confirmation yet on how animals will be led around.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beastiary
Snow Me- Golems!
- Mighty, FEARSOME creatures made of snow will soon be craftable via snowblocks, forming the first ever craftable companion - the fearsome SNOW GOLEM! - source - Remember it's a Snow GOLEM, not Snowman!
- This Meaner, Badder ass version of Frosty, will always be friendly to you like wolves, fling snowballs at any 'unappealing' creature it sees be it Spider or Creepers, unleashing a fiercesome storm of snowballs at them which will moderately annoy his adversaries!... - Source
- Snowballs do 0 damage, no knockback, and cause mobs to aggro. - source
- They cause the ground they walk upon, to turn into a festive white color! (Snow) - Source
- The fiercesome Golem will MELT in warmer Biomes, presumably Rain Forests and Deserts. - Source
- Exact crafting recipe is not known atm, but it may be a pyramid shape (3 bottom, 2 middle, 1 top) to replicate the classical art of Snowman Building. er... Snow GOLEM, excuse me.
llama66613 posted a message on The Arts - ModPosted in: SuggestionsThe Art of Literature (Get Satisfaction!)
How it is now: Literature is horrible. Terrible. Just awful. There is one type of literature: signs. Thats it. Signs. Signs aren't literature, there use in road directions!
How it could be improved: We need useable and editable books and scrolls. Custom books would have a title shown in the tool-tip and would be six pages, and scrolls would be one page long and could be placed on walls.
What I purpose: Just like the painting suggestion, a new tool is added to edit books.
The ink well!
Crafted like this:
The ink well is used to make custom books. To do so, hold a book in your hand and right click. If you have and ink well in your inventory, you will get the book editing GUI (If you don't have an ink well, you can still open and read the book, but you can't change anything."):
At the top is the title bar, where you set the title of the book that is shown in the tool tip, such as "Of Creepers and Slimes". Bellow is the pages section, where you can type in like you do with a sign, as well as sketching with black ink. As you type and draw, the ink well in your inventory takes damage. You can erase and delete, so mistakes aren't permanent, but your ink well still lose durability. In the bottom right and left are the move to next screen buttons. You have six pages, two on each screen. After typing stuff it would look like this:
Also, you can make a copy of a book by crafting a blank book, an ink well, and a written book. The ink well takes damage, the written book stays, and a copy of the written book comes out.
On to book shelfs! They are crafted without the books:
And open up a storage GUI when right clicked on. They can only hold books. If you try to put anything else in them, they will simply not let you place it. There advantage is that they have cool textures. If the bookcase is at least one third full of books inside it has this "sorta full" texture:
And if it is two thirds full of books or more they will have the current "Full" texture:
All in all, it's quite a bit like some of the book mods out there. So what's that you say? I'm not being original? Oh no, you see, I just needed to lay down the ground work before I moved on to the new stuff!
First new idea? Scrolls. They are crafted like this:
And can be edited and read just like books, only they can hold only one page of text. There for if you don't want to waste your paper on making a book when you only need one page. They can also be stored in bookcases. The editing GUI would look like this:
And when done would look like something like this:
Also, scrolls can be posted on walls like signs, but only show there title:
You can right click on it to read the full text.
But how do we fight forgery and plagiarism?
In minecraft, I've always wanted to put my signature on something. And with this new item, you can!
The Stamp!
Crafting a stamp works like this:
Which gives you a metal stamp. The stamp is used to put your mark, or "emblem", which you decide at minecraft.net, a scroll, book or painting. Then, only you can edit it, and the tool-tip now reads "Llama66613's painting" or "Llama66613's Of Creepers and Slimes". For more information on the emblems idea, go here.
Here is how you stamp a book (the stamp is not consumed):
Note that whatever your emblem is will appear in the lower-right corner.
And thats how stamps work!
Why we need this: We must have a way to wright stuff down other then signs. Record your travels in "HoneyDew's Journal of Grand Adventures!". Put a scroll on all the lamp posts advertising in description your wonderful cakes at 1234 main st. Keep every crafting recipe you know in "A Beginner's Guide to Crafting". Also, using stamped scrolls, you could have a paper currency, where only if it's stamped by the king can it be used.
unison posted a message on Colonii - Colony-based expansion and battle simulatorPosted in: General Gaming
There are now 24 color combinations! (read the new control layout)
Inspired by Asciirium, Colinii is a game which simulates a scenario of growing colonies, new settlements, and war. Complex, intuitive gameplay/simulation, with little artificial buffs or restraints; there are no rules to learn or understand! "The simulation makes sense by its very nature"
Instructions
Place a colony of any of 24 possible colors. Immediately, scouts will leave the colony scavenging for food, and the colony will grow. Some far travelling scouts will look for a suitable place to found a new colony, allowing the color's empire to grow.
Description
- How Colonies Spread
Larger colonies have a more likely chance to produce scouts which will found a new colony. This is not an artificial buff; As the maximum radius of a developed colony is 105 pixels, a new colony cannot be founded within 105 pixels of an existing colonies epicenter (to prevent the epicenter from being overlapped by a neighboring colony).
With a small colony, the scouts would first have to get out of the 105 pixel range of their colony, before seeking a place to found a new colony. If they are coming from a larger, more developed colony, their starting point is further from the epicenter.
- How Colonies Attack
When scouts reach the edge of an enemy colony, they create a temporary weak spot. This weak spot heals over time, however, repeated damage to that spot may cause an infiltration. They will then spread slowly through the enemy colony, reaching the epicenter, and destroy it, shrinking it to 1/3 its size.
When a colony is destroyed, it is captured by the destroyer. However, the colonies former allies are likely to be nearby. Because of this, it's likely for a battle to take place near the colonies epicenter, causing the colonies ownership to switch back and forth. This can be dangerous, as the size of the colony decreases by 1/3 each time it's recaptured, it's easy for the two teams to destroy the colony entirely.
Controls
space - Pause/Unpause
backspace - Clear screen (can be buggy)
Q - Place Blue colony at mouse cursor
W - Red colony
E - Green colony
R - Black colony
(any combination of the four for secondary colors)
v1.4 (Overhaul)
- many balance/bug fixes
- scouts seek center of a colony once they enter one
- colonies shrink to 1/3 size when captured, rather than to minimum size
-- if 1/3 size is less than minimum size, the colony is destroyed
- when enemy colonies collide, the larger one captures the smaller
Probably a typo. He probably meant leather.
Or, I might aim a gamma ray burster at Earth (or, let the current one aiming at the Earth to still aim at Earth, to be exact).
They would be crafted like this (but you would replace the iron block with a magnet):
EDIT: And should you not know it already, I support the magnets.
