No, I've already stated in the OP that I'm not interested in making the standard tools with bamboo, especially if bamboo would become the tool head (wooden tools are a stretch as is). This idea is overwhelmingly unrealistic and infeasible, giving a pick that you can craft very early that can mine any block, no matter what you make the durability (except 0 for non-existence) is incredibly broken. Furthermore, suggesting that tools can be stacked would be a huge undertaking and would probably kill my thread to the point of being locked.
You said regular tools, and the tools aren't regular. They are unique beyond durability and speed.
My reasoning is the same average damage, but can't 1 hit kill you. And it will kill silverfish, sheep, small or tiny slimes/magma cubes, untamed wolves, and snow golems with 1 hit, but an Iron Golem can only do that to small or tiny slimes/magma cubes, snow golems, and chickens.
The Nether has no sky, so weather would only affect you if you go on top of the Nether's bedrock sky. Nether Ore should need a Netherrack pickaxe to mine it, and Nether Gem should need a Nether Ore pickaxe to mine it. Glowstone tools shouldn't be added, Netherrack tools should be wood strength, Nether Ore tools should be iron strength, and Nether Gem should be in between iron and diamond. Blazes should have a rare drop called flame infuriation that can be crafted with a Nether Gem to get Nether Diamond. 3 flame infuriations and a Nether Ore should make a Nether Gem. Nether diamond is diamond strength, but can mine Nether Ore and Nether Gem, and can't mine Obsidian.
I like this idea. How about also being able to just repair the tool's handle to fully repair durability and keep enchantments (since the wood handle is liable to break off the diamond handle or break before the iron/diamond/gold/stone tool's handle is).

That is what they are doing, but the client or server would have to store which random texture it is, or else the texture will be randomly changing.

That is my opinion on the enchantments listed here, and for delude, I was thinking like 5% chance of dodge per level.

Well, cacti fruit are rare, and only grow on 3 block tall cacti, so unless you make a cacti fruit farm, you will get barely any.
Also, eating raw cactus should not kill you.
