I think that would make more problems than it would solve... especially when trying to place logs horizontally.
No, it solve more than it create. With my idea, a wall of vertical logs becomes very easy, and horizontal log walls only need 2 more clicks per row than they used to.
I like this idea, but it should use an eye of ender. Regularly 60 seconds, sprinting speed. With redstone 180 seconds, walking speed. With glowstone, 40 seconds, but sprinting on ice while jumping with a 2 block ceiling (fastest speed possible in the game).
If he makes a list of known griefers, then a group of griefers could abuse it and put non-griefers on it.
If he adds in blocks that can't be destroyed, except by the placer, then greifers could grief with them.
If he removes fire, lava, and TNT, then the community will suffer because of a small portion, plus ALL old worlds would have to be deleted, and griefers would grief other ways.
If he adds a tool make you the only one able to modify a certain are that you claim as your house, griefers would claim others' houses.
That doesn't really make much sense. A hoe is overall less useful than a sword, being used less frequently and for fewer tasks. A sword is good for fighting mobs, harvesting certain blocks, and can be enchanted. A hoe...tills squares of dirt. Same thing with the axe versus the pick. A pick mines a large number of materials, pretty much all of them unable to be harvested by hand. It's also needed to make any decent tools and armour, as well as to get access to the materials for a lot of late-game items. An axe is mostly a convenience item, except in the removal of certain aesthetic blocks. They aren't really comparable, even if they are both useful.
But (with the exception of 1 more near-worthless stick more for a hoe than a sword), they cost the same to make.
I like this idea, but how about you get it when a skeleton kills an endermen (endermen are vulnerable to projectiles while in minecarts) or when a creeper kills another creeper.

I can't think of anything else.
