Arrested for the mass murder and mutilation of 7 pigs, 18 chickens, and 3 cows. Little do the police know, he took all the blame for the rest of his pack.

Made a mock up of your request. what do you think? I just made a quick 1.7.10 mod of it to see what the textures would look like. ill probably start on a 1.8 version soon.

Those textures look amazing; especially the Diorite pillars.

I really wish these would be added, but your post is insanely lazy. Don't use your title as part of your suggestion, use it to sum up or introduce your suggestion.

I love that possible idea of being able to build a decorative statue version of the golem. I would love to place a bunch of amazing silent sentries around the perimeter of my stately mansion.

This sounds like an interesting idea, but I don't know if I like the ability to break the ice and have the mob pop out. If the mob has obviously been in the ice for quite some time, you would think that it would have died at some point. Perhaps you could only save recently-frozen mobs or collect long-frozen mobs as trophies with the ice still encasing them (as with normal ice, they would probably have to be obtained with Silk Touch).

To explain things further and to correct some things here... this will get technical so don't read if you won't understand.

Firstly, mods are not loaded in as packets, more so they are loaded into the game's "virtual environment"; appended / added to the classpath of the game externally. They don't overwrite the game's files, the only mods that do that are either the mods released right after updates, or mods such as Forge which load other mods.

Secondly, you don't need to touch META-INF in most cases, just download Forge from here, download the installer, then install it (which is literally a 3 click process), then run game once and drops files in mods folder. Done.

About launchers, each launcher is functionally the same (they do the same things basically), but just managed by different groups; which leads to running different mod packs. FTB Launcher tends to have more FTB-oriented packs, whereas ATLauncher tends to have more third-party packs, which one you use is up to you. Both launchers as far as I know allow you to install mods, but don't allow you to download them through the launcher; this is not possible currently, at least efficiently.

I'm confused about when you said "run game once and drop files in mods folder." Does this mean to just open up Minecraft after you've downloaded forge and play it for 2 seconds, then drop Forge into the mods folder? Or do you drop the mod into the mods folder? Also, WHERE is my mods folder? Or do I have to make a new folder and label it "mods"? If so, where do I put this "mods" folder? Please be INSANELY specific because I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to mods.

They are launchers that make all modding easier. After starting it up, you can choose set mod packs that exist. For example, the mod pack hexxit, to use it, all you need to do it download it, and press play. The launcher will automatically download the mods in the right place on your computer and start it. Same with ATLauncher. Each launcher's layout is slightly different and hold different mod packs.

Thanks, that sounds like a way easier method. However, are these launchers able to download single mods as well as mod packs? And can they also download multiple mods that are not part of mod packs? Also, which one of these launchers would you recommend?

To save some time, you can use the ATLauncher or the Technic Launcher to download mod packs if you do not want to do it through forge.

What exactly are the AT and Technic Launchers?

posted a message on Why is Mojang so lazy.

Though I am a bit disappointed about Mojang not changing things that they really need to do, but I HATE when people get angry at them because they're so "lazy."

First off, Mojang didn't just make Minecraft, they made a lot of other games too. I'd like to see you try to juggle creating a game while trying to update three others while getting hate mail from incredibly impatient fans about how they're angry because they haven't had a snapshot in six months. They're anything but lazy.

Why can't everyone be at peace with what they have, and be grateful to Mojang for creating such an amazing and beautiful game?

META_INF is a file that stops mods from working that you have to delete if you wish to use mods, that is hidden within the games files. If you use forge, then you can download the installer which automatically installs forge and deletes META_INF in the process. The mods folder appears after you have run the game with forge installed. To get to it, open search on your computer and search for %appdata% and find .minecraft , the mods folder should be somewhere in there, if you are on a mac then open finder, click "go" at the top and hold alt, click on library, then open application support and find a folder called minecraft, in there should be the mods folder.

Sorry, I need help again. When I opened the .minecraft folder, I was unable to find the "mods folder."

posted a message on Graphic Errors! Please HELP!
Recently, I bought a new laptop and downloaded Minecraft onto it. But when I started playing, I had obnoxious graphic problems. The screen would flicker in certain areas and when I moved my mouse over my inventory, it would start flashing rapidly. However, this problem does not occur when I'm in my menu screen or title screen. Is my graphics card messed up, did my computer come with a terrible graphics card, or is there some other problem that I have?
