At Mining Geeks we strive to be a fun, mature gaming community, building epic builds. We have always been a smaller community, never anything that big. That's the way we like it, we aren't trying to be huge. We have been around for almost 2 years (off 4 months, but couldn't let it go!) and are looking to do a hard restart for the server. I want to get some players to help revive and maintain the server after the restart before we do that however. The server is already up and running and set in it's ways and we have about 5-10 players that frequent the server. I'd like to start a fresh world and fresh stats. We are always open to suggestions & ideas, but we do not plan on adding players and just handing over OP. This seems to be what people are assuming is going on & it is not. As well as we need players that have had a bit of exp with doing this. Know basic admin commands, etc or be willing to at least read our guides which we have. We have also had that problem. So if you are applying please be knowledgeable or willing to take the time to get on our site and figure it out.
Worlds:
1.8 Vanilla World
1.7 Worlds:
Survival - No PvP or Griefing. Prank Wars - PvP, Looting, Griefing. Creataville - Creative Free Build Eventureland - World where we hold building, etc events.
Help Needed:
2 - Admins (I'm not going to be present 100% of the time. We will need a couple of capable players for when we aren't present.)
2 - Advertisers/Recruiters (People to be on the LF Forums seeing if anyone is looking for a server like ours.)
4 - Judges/Event Planners (We like to have events from time to time! This would require being on at specific times!)
4 - Youtubers/Streamers (I don't care about your rep tbh. If you are just starting out that's cool.)
6 - Builders (We also had just started a build team!)
? - Players ( = D -----> Just submit a Whitelist on the site!)
[Some of these can overlap. However I wouldn't want 1 player doing all of things remember that our Staff are players as well.)

No it's not. I have 2 separate ARMS and LEGS... I have been doing this forever. Just because some people can't figure out how to properly use a feature doesn't make it non existent.
Hey we don't have an age restriction, but we do require our players to be mature. (This rule actually makes a difference on our server!) The server has been a bit barren due to Halloween and what have you given we do have the community about the size you are talking about. We run a 1.7 PVE Survival Server with other worlds for PVP, Creative Free Build, Hell, The End, Monthly Events and we just launched our 1.8 Vanilla Server as well. You can ALWAYS have separate Arm and Legs this is not a "new" feature for 1.8. Don't be silly. The program that you use to make your skin may be the problem. Try using Nova Skin, taking your time, and looking around.
I made a new skin for myself and it isn't working right. Instead of Right Arm is diffent from the Left one, they are both the same! Can someone please help me with this?
What editor are you using?
Do you mean before applying the skin the arms are accurate and once you apply it they are incorrect or while editing it they won't seem to change?
If you are editing it and they are mirroring there is more than likely a button to press so that the limbs won't mirror each other. Then you would be able to edit each arm separately. I always use Nova Skin for my skin needs.
Well, your average server, you just find the ip on here, put it in the direct connect box press play, and you're done. However, there are whitelisted servers which you have to apply for. Also, yes you are just playing with random internet strangers (unless it's a server hosted by a friend).
What this guy said. As well as you can look for servers on Server Lists. Just Google: Minecraft Server List and browse through a couple to get a feel for it. You can pick from different tags as well such as Survival, Skyblock, Vanilla, Bukkit, Factions, etc that way so you can search for servers you may be more interested in rather than just trying to guess who has what.
You should come check us out at Mining Geeks. We are a 1.7 PVE Survival Server. We also have a Vanilla 1.8 out as well. We have donations, but there are no pay-to-wins due to the fact there really is no winning on MG. We have monthly Events such as building competitions and voting as well. We do not allow griefing either, unless your on our Prank War World which is an anything goes world. We have an amazing community as well.
