The 1.10 update is well underway! I'm taking this opportunity to *really* clean up the code. At this point, I can't promise compatibility with older worlds at all.
Ok so a while back, I really started to dig into 1.9 code. Had to take a break though because I was working full time. I am going to get back to this very soon. This WILL be updated! PR is not abandoned.
Ive been working full time since the summer started. My job involves coding, so you can imagine how I'd be burned out and not as willing to work on MC modding in my free time... I am still working on it though, and I hope to spend more time on it starting very soon. Thanks for the patience!
Slow but steady progress on the 1.9 update. There is a lot of stuff to learn, and my availability to work on this is slowly shrinking. It will get done though. Be patient! I plan on cleaning up a lot of stuff in this update, including many bugs that you guys have been reporting. I will also document every block on the wiki when the time comes.
Don't hold your breath for a seamless 1.7.10 to 1.9 transition. This unfortunately won't be possible for a lot of things, especially multipart tiles. I'll see what I can do, but its not looking too good..
ChickenBones helped start this mod, I'm not going to abandon FMP until I hear directly from him that I should do so. And even then, I am willing to go as far as maintain FMP and other PR dependencies for him. I've grown attached to his code, and no offense to amadornes, but nothing will ever quite match up for me.
Thermopiles would be great, but what I think we really need is that "assembly" block Eloram came up with. If i recall correctly it was an upgraded type of block placer that hooked up to bundled cable, had its inventory separated into the 16 color slots, and would place the specific block from its inventories depending on which signal it got through the bundled cable.
I have some ideas about building an auto railway laying machine and a few other things like that which would be WAY less of a pain in the ass to create with a block like that.
Will add those soon, they were pretty cool. So much you can do with them...
I loved this project, it's amazing, even as RedPower! But, i have a question (problem, maybe): where are a "Redstone Tube"? I need this for craft a Caterpillar Machine (horizontal quarry), using block breakers. And the frames (i don't see it here), how do i use with tubes (within the same block)?
Take a redstone block and use a saw to cut it into strips. Then right click on any pipe with them to turn them into redstone pipes.
To use pipes and frames in the same block, simply place down the frame and then place the pipe inside of it.
Here is a mini-update. I recommend that you delete your config files for both ProjectRed and MrTJPCore as they have been cleaned up and reorganized. All the stuff is still there, you can easily just copy the settings over into the new locations.
v4.7.0pre10
- ADDED: Config option for particle effects on routed pipes
- FIX: Multipart lights incorrectly sensing redstone
- FIX: Crash when cutting Inverted Lamp blocks
- FIX: Auto Crafter eating up multi-use items
- FIX: Project Bench keeping multi-use items passed max damage
- FIX: Changing configs in-game does not save correctly
I would like to see all the light fixtures be able to connect to framed (freestanding) wires like how bluepower does, it makes it easier for smaller circuits and traffic lights and such.
They can connect directly if you place a hollow cover in between. It allows the wire to connect from the back.
Trying to get a few bugs fixed up, got some time this week. I try to read this forum but sometimes I miss things. If you really want me to look at something put it in github.

Hell no, not abandoned at all. Development is just slowed down at the moment. Will update as soon as CB updates ForgeMultipart.

The last update had a major wire issue. I've just pushed a mini-update that fixes this so you don't have to revert back to an older version.

Its a config option.
