    -Hensoku-

Following the conclusion of the ceremony, a short spurt of chaos seemed to break loose. Someone released their powers for whatever reason, causing flames to breakout into the crowd of people. Supposedly it had all been just a mere illusion, but people kept screaming and running around frantically like idiots even after the flames dissipated. Shaking her head disappointedly, Hensoku pushed herself off the wall she had been leaning on and moved towards the elevators. At that moment, she could have cared less about signing up for classes or hunting demons. In all truth, her main priority was finding some peace and quiet. Some quiet moments of meditation and prayers sounded really nice right about now. However, she knew her great goddess would not have an ear or a tail if she knew - and she would know - that her ungrateful subordinate was wasting her time praying and secluding herself from interacting with others.

Silently sighing to herself, Hensoku changed her intended path and moved closer to the gathering groups, trying to scope out a seemingly good team. She guessed it would be worth her time to try out some demon hunting with her peers. It’d be good for bonding and testing out her own limits in the battlefield, even though she knew she would not be able to compare to the skill level of most of the others. She surveyed the forming groups...er..or group. There was a very tall, boasting man standing in the center of a growing crowd with his arms wrapped around a younger girl asking for more takers, presumably others to join their group. Hensoku stared at them warily, though. She recognized the two from earlier and was unsure if she should get involved with them. She was pretty sure that the tall man was the one that had engaged in battle with the fear-inducing demon of earlier, and the girl had been a bystander, just like herself. Eliciting her more apprehensive side, Hensoku stood on the edge of the crowd and continued to observe the two people as she tried to determine the pros and cons in joining their little party.

((Also, Entei, could we maybe get a more detailed list on these classes that our characters can sign up for? Like, would Hensoku be able to sign up for Holy Defense? I don’t consider her a Holy Warrior per se, but if the class involves teachings that correspond along the lines of exorcism or use of wards/spells/incantations, I would might want her to enroll in such a class.

I'm sorry, I know you are probably busy, and this will take away from your own posting time, so if you could please post a reply to this whenever you find extra time, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.))

    -Hensoku-

Overhearing the towering, pale skinned man adorned all in black with black shades called Lucifer...er...or Lucy-kun, Hensoku vaguely recalled the name being mentioned somewhere before. Slowly piecing two and two together, the fox girl connected her reason in being in the dastardly city with the man. He was the one who had sent her the letter? Sighing, Hensoku assumed his instructions included her, too, so she dragged herself back upstairs and packed her candles, matches, and miniature shrine into the plastic bag that they had come from. Pulling out her letter, she marched her way through the streets of Kruxville in lieu of the directions that she had been given.

After several minutes of walking, Hensoku found herself standing in front of an expansive mansion. Shivering slightly, she hesitated before entering the school’s property. Honestly she did not want to be here, but she knew there was no turning back now. The fox girl cautiously entered the school building and immediately found more instructions directing her to enter an elevator and take her down to the -115th floor. Adjusting her sensitive ears to the change in elevation, Hensoku yawned frequently and scratched at her irritated ears as she climbed out of the elevator. Awkwardly, the girl shuffled to the side of the room, hugging the walls, and tried to avoid interaction with the other students that had already arrived. It had already been a long day, and Hensoku was definitely not in a good mood. Even though she had not gotten involved with the scene earlier, she was still frustrated with everything that had happened and it clearly showed on her face. Huffing a bit, she crossed her arms impatiently and leaned against the wall as she waited for the induction ceremony to begin.

    -Hensoku-

The fox girl was honestly very confused and conflicted at this point. There were so many people coming and going, plus the event outside had escalated to such a drastic scene, that Hensoku was beginning to feel overwhelmed. ‘What to do’ and ‘What not to do’ slowly became entangled in her mind. She no longer understood anything anymore. All she knew was that she needed to be at the school building in a couple of hours, yet there was a dangerous predicament involving the school’s headmaster, an opposing evil of great strength, and several prospective students ensuing outside. Dear goddess Inari, what was she to do? She had never been faced with a real battle, much less against superior class demons. I mean, she had gone on some demon extermination missions before, but never anything quite like this. Why oh why was she to be faced with all of this?

Losing her cool, Hensoku began to fret. She wished to express this frustration in some way, but pacing back and forth and exposing her weaknesses on her first day was not exactly how she wanted to start off this new experience of her’s. Some people had merely just left the scene be and headed out into the city, and Hensoku desperately desired to follow in suit, but could she really just brush this situation off? She did not want to get involved, but wasn’t she already? She had been watching for quite some time. Would it be wrong of her to just abandon those who were courageously viewing and interacting outside?

Overthinking everything, Hensoku merely watched in horror as the people in the streets continued taunting one another as their argument intensified.

She had only been on the first floor for a short amount of time, staring out the lobby’s window at the event unfolding outside, but she quickly grew fretful of the increasing mass of people. It was so early in the morning, yet everyone was so lively. Several people had started to congregate around the entrance and outside, so Hensoku made sure to keep herself scarce and steer clear of those designated areas. Her acute nose, heightened by her fox senses, alerted her of the sweet, wafting smell of delectable food in the other room. Following her nose, Hensoku began to head in the direction of the dining room, when she froze in her tracks. As she crossed the path in front of the hotel’s entrance, she overheard the name of the God of Destruction, sending fear crawling down her spine. Her knees and legs felt like jelly and she was afraid they might buckle at any moment. She was not accustomed to so much demonic power, being that she had mainly been exposed to the presence of pure divinity. Shivering, she clutched her arms and hurried into the dining room, glancing back towards the entrance warily.

    -Hensoku-

Unaccustomed with her new accommodations, Hensoku found it hard to sleep. Normally she would have taken a stroll through the extensive bamboo forest that surrounded the Inari shrine, but since she was no longer in Kyoto and there did not seem to be a bamboo forest for miles, Hensoku was at a loss on what to do to calm her nerves. She had pondered the idea of exploring her new settings, but quickly voted against the idea. Hensoku had grown to dislike the city and city-life. The air was much more polluted and their was always some kind of commotion going on outside, which she could easily pick up with her sensitive, animal-like hearing. The new sounds, sights, and smells did not leave a positive impression on this countryside girl.

Dismissing the idea of leaving her assigned room, Hensoku stumbled around in the dark in order to find her small plastic bag containing candles and a box of matches. She had purchased them upon entering the city with the little amount of money she was granted. Removing the candles from the bag, she arranged them nicely on either side of the tiny shrine of Inari that she always carried with her. After the candles were lit using the purchased set of matches, Hensoku kneeled before the little shrine and began to pray. The act instantly began to soothe her restless mind. Hensoku had only gotten a few minutes into her ritual when she heard an obnoxious cacophony coming from the outer walls of her hotel room. First there was a loud thud which was followed by clamorous shouting. Was this normal for life in the city? Confused and curious, Hensoku was unable to return to her spiritual state, so she extinguished her candles and made her way over to the window of her hotel room. She tried to look at the streets below her, but unfortunately she was unable to get a decent view. Sighing, the girl came to realize that if she decided to pursue this budding curiosity of hers, it would mean that she would have to leave the comforts of her room and inevitably run the chance of having to interact with others.

Hensoku did not really desire to get involved with anything or anyone that did not concern her, but on the other hand, her curiosity was eating at her. What on earth could be happening outside to incite such a sound? Whereas the city was quite disgusting aesthetically and dangerous, in her opinion, it was quite enticing in a way with its never-ending breadth of excitement and life. Succumbing to her impulses, Hensoku furtively exited her room and descended the stairwell to the first floor. Clinging to the walls of the first floor, she cautiously moved towards the nearest window or doorway that would allow her to gain a better grasp of the situation unfolding outside.

    App:

    Name: Hensoku Inari

    Age (14-21): 19

    Gender: Female

    Appearance:

    Human form:

    Fox form:

    Race: Kitsune (fox/fox spirit)

Personality: Preferring to take up a reserved stance in most matters, Hensoku carries a developed fear of others along with a strong distrust of them. This all roots back to her past, which also leads to her seclusive nature. Seeing as she was unable to interact with other people or creatures often, Hensoku struggles with upholding conversations and tackling new situations. From the outside she may seem to be cool and collected, but usually that is not the case. Most of the time, she is simply frustrated with the fact that she does not know how to cope or respond to the predicament at hand, so she attempts to assess the situation maturely. Also, due to her upbringing, Hensoku tends to talk with a polite, formal tone and carry a subservient air.

Powers (Optional): Due to her lineage, Hensoku has been granted the ability to revert between a human and fox form along with the ability to summon up to three balls of spiritual fire. Spiritual fire is drawn from the user’s own soul and consumes much of the user’s mental stamina. Consequently, Hensoku must rest a good 30 or so minutes before attempting to reuse her power else she face dire repercussions in pushing her mind, body, and soul too far. However, in turn spiritual fire can be used in a variety of ways. It can be utilized as a light source, a guide, to inflict damage on opponents, and to portray minor illusions. Spiritual fire cannot burn inanimate objects. After years of practice, Hensoku has developed a decent amount of control over her powers, but occasionally, when she is worn out either mentally or physically, she finds it difficult to switch between forms and instead gets stuck in between the two forms. Also, it takes about 1-2 minutes for her to either conjure her fox fire or transform.

    Backstory:

Born and raised within the grounds of the Inari Shrine in Kyoto, Japan, Hensoku has become accustomed to the life of servitude. Following in the footsteps of her kin, she became the obedient messenger of the Goddess Inari. However, even though Hensoku was granted the same abilities as the other purebloods of her race, she was still outcast from her fellow kin due to the discoloration of her fur. Most kitsunes that served under the Goddess Inari were blessed with the divine, stark white coat of fur, yet for some reason Hensoku lacked that essential trait. Teased and shunned for her impure appearance, many of her kin secretly believed that it would be best to abandon Hensoku as she could only bring calamity and misfortune to their goddess. The Goddess Inari, nonetheless, ignored all of their indirect suggestions and openly welcomed Hensoku as one of her many messengers, acknowledging her bloodline over her appearance.

Forever indebted to the graciousness of her goddess, Hensoku devoted herself to pleasing her deity and strived to become less of a burden to Inari and her fellow kin. Avoiding festivals and most human interaction, Hensoku alienated herself from others with the exception of the Goddess herself. With so much extra time on her hands, she resorted to studying books, other scholarly articles, and working on changing between her fox and human form. She proved to be a quick learner, faster than some of her own kin that were prided on their intellectual capacities, and swiftly perfected her use of multiple different languages. However, Hensoku did struggle quite a bit more with learning to control her abilities. In fact, by the age of 7, it was expected of a kitsune to have mastered their abilities in wielding their fox fire and reverting between a human and fox form to the extent that the conjuring of either ability should be completed under 30 seconds flat. Hensoku, living up to her name as an anomaly, still struggles with accomplishing either task under 2 minutes.

A few months ago, the Goddess Inari visited Hensoku carrying a letter. The letter seemed to have been addressed to Hensoku. Smiling, the deity handed over the letter in order for Hensoku to skim over its contents. The letter voiced its concern for the sudden increase in the number of inexplicable supernatural occurrences and demon outbreaks, and requested the enrollment of the enlisted name. At first Hensoku was wary of the accepting the offer, since she abhorred the idea of leaving the shrine, virtually abandoning her duties as the servant of Inari, but the goddess insisted that Hensoku attend the academy. As sly as her servants, the goddess quickly justified Hensoku’s reason to leave and mandated that as a servant of hers, Hensoku had to comply with the letter’s request. With little to no excuse in refuting her higher authority, Hensoku was sent on her way to Lucifer Demon Hunting Academy.

    Equipment: None

    Weaknesses:

Warding talismans - whereas they may seem like ineffective strips of paper, they are quite effective against spirits. Typically they are used to ward off malicious spirits and demons, but they can also prove to be effective against kindred ones, too.

Water - nullifies her spiritual fire ability. Whereas the water does not deal any double damage against her physically, it can extinguish any spiritual fire that she summons.

Distractions - Hensoku’s ability heavily relies on her own concentration for both shifting forms and summoning “fox fire”. Distractions can range from loud noises, to quick movements, mesmerizing objects, or even just a slap across the face. Basically, anything that breaks Hensoku’s concentration is a distraction and consequently halt the process in which she tries to utilize her powers.

Also, whereas Hensoku may be quick-witted, she lacks in speed and agility along with the drive to attack with the intent of killing.

Other: Please let me know if I need to change anything. Mahogany.

    <Edythe>

There was a cacophony of noises and sounds, much like the bustling of people with a time-crunch weighing on their shoulders, that made up the background of the luxurious pitch blackness of the empty dream floating around her head. What an odd dream, no? Edythe rolled over in her bed, hoping that it would make the background noise more muffled, but sadly that did not work. She tried again, rolling once more to her right, but alas, it helped no more than the first time. One more time ought to do it! After rolling a short distance, Edythe acquired the gut twisting feeling of falling. She squeezed her eyes shut and braced for impact, but nothing happened. There was no crash or bang, so she wrenched one of her eyes open and peered out. A bunch of upside-down girls were hurrying this way and that around the dorm. What was going on? What had she missed? And WHY WAS EVERYTHING UPSIDE-DOWN?!

Edythe glanced up and noticed that her uniform, that she had disgustingly fallen asleep in the night prior, had snagged by the pin on the buckle on the covers that she had rolled around, preventing her from completing her fall. Edythe approached the problem with care and struggled to figure out a method to unhook the buckle from the sheets without ripping anything. The process took a good 5-10 minutes of her time and by then, most of the girls had already dressed and exited the dormitory.

As soon as Edythe was free, she scrambled to her feet and joined in at the back of the group as they filed from the mess hall towards the training fields, barely making it once more.

Sighing at the back of the line, she caught her breath as the Corporal began speaking. She could barely hear a word he was saying over her growling stomach, but it seemed that his first victim was someone nearer to the front of the group.

From within the dark depths of his unconscious mind, a force could be felt through the eternal darkness, calling for one of us to answer. Someone must have been trying to wake him. I glanced over at the form of the man that was obviously out cold as it was spread out in such a relaxed position on the infinite space that could be called the ground if it were the ground. He twitched in his sleep, but it seemed that he was in no condition to get up and claim control, which was perfect. I gladly accepted the role of answering the call and was jerk forward back into the reality of things.

My eyes snapped open and I immediately searched for the person who had graciously woken me from my slumber. I glanced upward and found myself making direct eye contact with said person. He was the strong, tall, well-built man with fluffy, short, brown hair. His name was…er…L…Lionel? It did not matter. He was recognizably someone from my team. Within moments of reawakening, the pain and strain of the mortal body I was residing in flared. The muscles ached and groaned from overexertion and the bones were rattled and shifted in ways that they probably should not have been shifted. I could barely distinguish the pain of such things from the feeling of where Lionel’s hand rested of my shoulder when he tried to wake me.

I swatted away his hand from my shoulder and muttered a “Thanks” as I attempted to stand up. As I struggled to get myself up off the ground and out of that uncomfortable position, the muscles in my legs gave and I fell into the wall, cringing slightly before the pain subsided. With my dignity on the line, I place my hands on the wall and tried again, taking it slowly, as I successfully stood up. I leaned against the wall, panting. “Don’t concern yourself with me. I am just tired of waiting on everyone and everything,” I barked.

To vent my frustration with the horrible timing of the call for all tournament participants, I bit down hard on my lower lip and chewed on it until it bled a deep crimson hue. The swift twang of pain soothed a minuscule fraction of my overflowing fury as I marched my way back to the colosseum. I licked up the delectable warm liquid forming on my lip but still brought up my left have to wipe away any that may have remained.

Upon entering the lobby area of the colosseum, the female announcer was in the midst of explaining how the viewing of the simultaneous matches would work. I stood in the entrance ways as I watched the female announcer on the large screen deliver the scheduled match-ups of each team and instructions on where each team must go to arrive at their own respective gates. I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for her to call out the directions for my own team, Team DinoLampost, finding that I needed to proceed to the Gate 6. I expressed my displeasure openly as I huffed quite loudly and urged my aching body towards the direction of the gate. I was physically tired and battered out of shape, but my boiling blood fueled my fighting spirit. I hoped that my other teammates shared this feeling of this adrenaline based elation, because I was so ready to get back on the battlefield and expend this pent up energy.

    <Yatsufusa>

I could not believe what I was observing. Was this all a deranged fantasy? Was this blood curdling lust for violence and malice solely his? Have I misjudged this host? I almost feel elated myself just by watching him…Maybe this host was a mistake after all…I thought he was a feeble minded cry baby, and he still is, but I never thought that he would willfully embrace the ideals of gruesome acts of homicide. I had high hopes in enjoying the pleasure and satisfying sense of accomplishment in breaking him down mentally by forcing him to live as a captive prisoner within his own mind as his body is controlled and made to feed my blade, me, the rich red dye of all those that cross my path. However, with this new found sense of mental willpower, I can now understand why he has been so resilient to my prior attempts. Maybe it would be best to find a new host, one that is more weak-minded. Hmm…maybe later… right now this aura blood lust is about as captivating as a light is to a moth. I’ll stick around and see how this works out…

    <Revi>

I arrived at the Gate 6 area to find that 3 of my teammates had already arrived. I couldn't tell exactly how they felt about these final moments before the start of our match, but all of a sudden the gravity of the situation we were going to be in hit me. I pushed these thoughts away with ease and replaced them with thoughts that kept cheering on my fighting spirit. However as seconds passed by, I found my mental capacities begin to fail me and my entire body finally experienced what felt like the full effects of the wounds and lashings that were dealt to me from the battle in the alleyway times ten. I leaned against the wall, barely keeping my eyelids open, before sliding to the floor and resting my head on my knees. I closed my eyes and stayed in that position for a while, thinking that I would only rest them for a short while before our match began, but ended up dozing off.

((Also, I edited my previous post to death and hopefully eliminated most of the grammatical and flow errors if anyone cares.))

With no friends and nothing really to talk about with the other recruits besides casual banter, Edythe joined the line to receive her own rations of food before choosing a seat at a table that was off to the corner. Luckily, that table did not seem to seat those that were causing a commotion. These recruits seemed much more rowdier than what Edythe had imagined. She nibbled on her hard, stale bread nervously. Maybe she didn't really belong here. She didn't feel anywhere near as confident or assertive as some of the other standout-ish figures. Adverting eye contact with most everyone, Edythe observed the brawl and its outcome from the sidelines.

I lagged behind the boy with the most unique hat by about 30 seconds or more, trying to keep my actions as inconspicuous as possible. It didn't seem like the boy had noticed me tailing him yet, so I proceeded with caution. After entering the large building, I found that it seemed almost more expansive on the inside than it did on the outside; maybe this was just a trick of the eye due to the lack of people within the building. Everyone seemed to be elsewhere, probably joining in on the day’s events, save the couple of staff members floating around the empty halls. I positioned myself in front of a poster that was advertising the newest exhibits and attractions, allowing me to always keep the boy within my peripheral vision. What could he be possibly looking for in a museum? Is he some kind of researcher with some kind of researching ability or something?, I queried in my head. It might explain that strange hat… The boy had been talking with the almost-overly enthusiastic curator for a while about something when they began to walk down a hall.

I casually gravitated it the same direction to the exhibitions that were along the same hall and stopped in from of an attraction within about 5ft of the door that they were trying to unlock, pretending to belittle myself with the skeleton of some ancient bird-like creature. When the boy entered the new area with the curator after opening the door, I checked my surroundings before attempting to follow; however, another female curator adorning a just-as-creepy-if-not-creepier, perfect smile took out her jangling ring of keys with the obvious intent of sealing the area. I could not lose my prey, not now, so I swiftly slipped behind the unsuspecting curator, covered her mouth with one hand, and knocked her over the head with the hilt of my sword with my other hand. I then proceeded to drag her unconscious body into the new area, which must have been storage or something with all of the huge stacks of crates and boxes, and deposited it within one of the many pre-opened crates. I hoped there had not been any cameras...how would I be able to explain this later...eh..oh well. What is done is done. I will deal with any lingering consequences later.

The boy and the curator had not made it that far, but they were a good distance ahead. I decided to stay reserved for the time being and therefore darted and peeked at the two from behind the boxes and crates stacked with in the aisles nearest to them. The two ventured to the very back of the area until they reached a small stain-glass window. Is that what he was looking for? Why did he need to find such a thing?, I pondered. While staring at the glass artifact, I failed to notice that I, too, was being watched. He appeared out of nowhere from within one of the boxes in front of me, scaring me out of my wits. I stumbled backwards, tripping over the edges of two boxes in the process and subsequently knocking over their respective stacks. As the boxes toppled down in unorderly heaps, I cursed under my breath.

[Hat boy] "We are not alone."
    [Curator] "WHAT!? Protect me!"

I tensed up. Are they going to come and investigate the mess? Damn. What do I do if I am caught? What do I say? Do I engage in battle?, I contemplated in my head. In the end, I decided that the most viable option was to flee to an adjacent aisle and evade their eyes. Luckily that I did, for as soon as I took to a new hiding spot in the adjacent aisle, a large gust of wind whipped through the aisle I had resided in prior, and carried any boxes along the edges of the shelving structure to the back end of the aisle where I had been before. I apprehensively peeked around the box stack that I was behind to glance at who produced such a gale, to find the boy looking around and adorning those weird disc things. I released a slight sigh as I interpreted from his quizzical expression and actions, that he had not seen me switch aisles. After seeing the mess of the broken items and artifacts lying at the end of the aisle, the curator flew into a fury of her own and started screaming at the boy to get out. As the two passed by, I shuffled around the stack of boxes to keep out of sight as I listened to their voices fade into the distance. To my great pleasure, there was no slam of a door, so I figured that the curator was in such a rush to oust the boy that she had forgotten to lock the door to this storage area. I waited about a minute or so before I deemed that it was safe to leave my hiding spot.

I poked my head out the open door of the storage area to make sure that the coast was clear before I slipped out of the storage area unnoticed and exited the museum into the blinding rays of the smiling sun. My eyes adjusted in moments, so I easily spotted the unique hat and continued on my investigation since it was quite apparent that this boy had nothing to do with that weird stain glass tile. I kept a close tail on the boy, making sure he was never out of my sight and by staying within 10 feet of him. I followed his every movement. When the boy made a left, I made a left. When the boy made a right, I made a right. When the boy made a left, I made a left. When the boy made another left, I made another left. When the boy made another left, I made another left. By then, I knew there was something wrong here. Why would he take so many lefts? One more and it would be a perfect square, which would be utterly pointless. Was he on to me? He never looked back to check like a person normally would. Maybe he was just really lost with no sense of direction. Yeah that was probably it. He did accidentally enter the library instead of the museum at first. He is just a fool. That is why he never apologized to the angel. Maybe I have been wrong about him this whole time? Still, he needs to be punished for acting so familiar with the angel. They obviously didn’t know each other that well. Plus, she is mine and not his, so he should have never associated with her in the first place. However, he should at least have had enough common sense to know not to talk to strangers and to at least apologize for falling on someone. No. It can’t be! I have been played like a fool. This is all a game to him isn’t it? He does know I am following him, doesn’t he?! Fine! Two can play at this game! I will play along, but just know boy, I will come out as the winner!

I followed the boy in his clever ploy of walking in a complete square before he finally stopped the stupid cycle and crossed the street into an alleyway. Perfect! The little fool has walked himself into a trap! This alleyway is a dead end! I will be able to get hi- Wait what?!, I exclaimed in my mind. As I rounded the corner of the alley that lead to a dead end, but the boy had vanished into thin air! I ventured to the end of the alley, thinking maybe that he was hiding somewhere, when a voiced called from behind me, "Who are you?"

The sly little brat. I whirled around, completely ignoring his question, and drew my blade as I rushed at him, calling my Horned Tiger to my side just in case was to be needed. I wanted to make this fight at least a little fair with some 1v1 to test his skills at first, so I slashed upward diagonally while my tiger waited patiently for my command behind me. I expected the boy to be a little surprised and barely dodge the attack, but his speed and reaction time was beyond my expectations. He seemed to read my attack and swiftly countered by executing a perfect evasive maneuver and attack that copied the same motion as my own attack, aiming for my head. I had no time to react myself, so the blow stopped right in front of my face yet yielded a force so great that it shoved me backwards and sent me sprawling into my tiger. The impact slammed us both into the wall, the tiger taking the brunt of the blow as I landed in its soft fur. Dazed by the powerful blow, I staggered to my feet and helped my tiger up. A twang of guilt collected in my gut as I realized that due to my poor judgment of the dimensions of the alley and battle strategy, a precious friend was harmed by the enemy. I channeled this self-hate into kindle to fodder my scorn of my enemy by blaming everything on him. It was not my fault my tiger got hurt. No. It was all his fault! All of it! I returned the injured beast to my blade and turned to glare in the direction of the boy, half-expecting that he had turned tail and ran when he had the chance. Instead, he stood there staring at me as if he was waiting for my next move. He wanted this to happen, didn’t he? I complied with the boy’s preconceived wishes and charged at him again, empowered by the nurtured feelings of hate. As soon as I moved, he did too. He thrust his right hand down and stomped with his right foot. The earth shook as 4 pillars, each growing in height consecutively, rose out of the ground with the last one stopping right in front of my face. The boy scaled these steps with ease and flipped around to produce a gale that slammed me into the last pillar. I was infuriated! I took such an attack as an insult as it was almost comical in thought. How dare he make a mockery out of me! I decided in that instant that 1v1 would get me nowhere, so I summon Haku, my snake synth, immediately and commanded him to attack the boy. As soon as Haku began to materialize beside me, he shifted into the form of a regular-sized viper and launched himself at the boy. I smirked, thinking that the boy would certainly not have enough time to react within such close quarters. He had doomed himself. However, almost by instinct, the boy ducked and shot out fire, burning Haku in mid-air and propelling him over his head. I watched in horror, dropping my smug expression and replacing it with a blank one, as one of my precious friends writhed around in the flames that would burn its body to an unusable crisp.

Fueling my wrath into fiery flames, the boy added in a snide comment, "Damn snakes." I snapped. First he was arrogant enough to speak with my angel and then he killed off one of my few precious friends with a cruel insult. I am so done with this boy. He will pay with the highest price for such heinous acts. I will destroy him if it is the last thing I do, I thought firmly as I bit back tears. I stiffly lifted my blade and unleashed an onslaught of attacks, one of which was aimed at his feather/plant-like hat. My blade rebounded off of the hat as if it was made of some solid, immovable substance, but I did not falter. I kept attacking, blinded by rage and overwhelming emotions.

All of a sudden in the midst of my fury, a force exploded from the boy and sent me hurdling into the wall at the opposing end of the alleyway. I crumpled to the ground. Miraculously, only a few of my bones were broken, mostly in my ribs, and I didn't receive too much head trauma, so I staggered to my feet, only managing to regain such strength through the energy supplied by my inflamed emotions.

"Goood that's right. Let that hate fill your drive to kill. Relinquish your control to your instinctive, savage side. Yes relish in that pain and despair. He is the reason for all your pain and suffering, so take everything out on him. On everyone," he whispered in my ear and I obediently complied in my semi-conscious state. I began calling out my other familiars: Lina, Jane, and William. I tilted my blade and was preparing to launch another assault when an announcement rang throughout the city.

"All participants to the stadium, the matches are about to begin!"

The announcement called me back to my senses and reminded me of the obligations I still held. I reluctantly returned my familiars with much unneeded grumbling under my breath before shouting at the hat boy, "This is not over, you hear hat boy?! I will be coming for you after this match, so you better watch your back!" I quickly left the alley and made for the tournament area once again, dusting off some of the residue left on my clothes after being knocked around during the battle.

((Is this still accepting? and if so is there an OOC to sign up with? Or do I just post my app here?))

((Yes, it is still accepting and a new OOC has not been created, so you can post your app here. Either AZilla or I will review your app. Also, if you wish for your character to be a Titan Shifter, please pm me and I will send you the application format to fill out for that. Thank you!))

(( dude, stop saying sorry, none of this is your fault XD people will come back eventually so theres no need to be feeling like it was your fault, blame the people who left, they clearly didn't wanna commit yet. I think you're doing an awesome job))

    -snip-

((Sorry, I thought that awsmguy1 would want his character to do something with his character before the end of the introductions, but it seems the slow pace of the introductions has caused quite a few people to disappear. Sorry.))

((Sorry I've taken so long to reply! I can take Corporal Veland, if you want. Also, are we done with the corporals approaching people? Because there are still a lot of people they haven't gotten to yet, but it makes sense for them not to talk to everyone. I don't remember who all they've skipped, but I know they haven't yet spoken to my character or Lexi's (although she only just joined) And I'm not sure how large the dorms are, but, considering the amount of characters we have, I think it's possible for all girls to be in one dorm and all boys in another. But, if not, I request that Lilabel and Aera be in the same dorm.
    Also:

I'd say my character is around 12.))

The corporals seemed to be just about finished with yelling at people, and Aera was relieved that they passed over her. She wasn't in the mood for getting screamed at ever, really. But it was to a greater extent then because she could already tell by the stares she was receiving that she wasn't welcome there. Truthfully, she was surprised no one had spoken to her yet, not even to insult her. It didn't mean it wouldn't happen, though. There were still few years for that to happen.

((Also, yeah the Corporals are done with the introductions, I noticed that the slow pace of the introductions has "chased away" a few people, in a sense. It would be best to instigate other character interactions and hopefully those that have moved away from checking the thread will come back...I'm so sorry.

Anyway, if you would like AZilla, you can take over Corporal Veland for the assignment of dorms or announcement of dorms or something after our characters move to the mess hall. I also agree that all of the girls could fit into one dorm and the boys in another. It makes the most sense.))

    Corporal Veland

I took my position at the crowd of the congregation of trainees and cleared my throat before shouting, “Starting tomorrow, we will begin regular field training and conditioning promptly at the break of dawn. Don’t you dare think of skipping or showing up late, because I assure you that the consequences will be much more severe than losing a few hours of your preeeecious beauty sleep! Now head to the mess hall! We will assign you dorms afterwards. Dismissed!” I saluted to the cadets as I watched them slowly break away from their positions in the rows and walk towards the mess hall, a large building made of weathered, long, old oak trunks that contained about 10 large expansive tables that could seat about 20 people at a time, that was to the Northwest of where they were standing in the field.

    <Edythe>

The field was silent for a second after the Head Instructor gave his last message, since no one dared to move quite yet. Edythe tensed a bit…she had felt the Corporal’s eyes lingering on her row earlier and it almost seemed too good to be true that the Corporals were letting them on the hook so easily. She had been practically late after all, and after all of the staring, it was almost surreal that she, nor any of the other people in her row, had been approached. Maybe it was a blessing from above? Who knew? Eventually, someone made a move and everyone followed suit. Slowly but surely, the large group of previously tense, statue-like trainees reanimated and made their way towards the northwest side of the field. Many of these trainees caught back up with their friends and acquaintances that they had met earlier, but Edythe did not have any such luxuries. She quickly turned her head from left to right and right to left, watching the people go and hoping to spot someone that she could maybe talk to, too.
