Have you ever gotten annoyed by the fact that you can't put books in bookshelves? Well I have thought of an idea to solve this. Why not make just shelves in the crafting table and then put books in the shelf? But then you might ask: well that be lame, you just have only brown books in the bookshelf. Well then that brings up my solution to that by suggesting: Dyeable Books. You just take a book (or books) and place them in a crafting table with a dye of you choice and voilà, you have a colored book. Now, the new bookshelves I have in mind can have four books placed in them, including: book & quill, enchanted books (these will remain undyeable), and another little idea I had: Scrolls (I will get to that later). These new bookshelves will only be able to have 4 items (enchanted books, scrolls, etc.) placed in them. That includes paper and Paper & Quill (I will also get to that later). A bookshelf will only function around a enchantment table when it has at least 3 books (only plain books, nothing else) in it.
Now on the Scrolls and Paper & Quill subject. Scrolls are just like books except they are crafted with to pieces of paper and a stick in a crafting table. Scrolls can also be written in by combining them with an ink sac and feather in a crafting table but, not dyed. Paper & Quill is just like Book & Quill and crafted in the crafting table by one piece of paper, an ink sac, and a feather.
Now back on bookshelves. The new bookshelf texture would look like a wooden plank with the inside cut and one side opened up. The crafting recipe would be the same just minus the books. There will only be one row of books in the bookshelf.
Well, that about sums it up. I am throwing these ideas out to you all to see what you think of and do with them and hopefully Mojang might think of something similar or notice this.
Yes, I totally agree to adding Villager soldiers. Funny thing is, I was thinking about this days ago and I'm going to suggest it in my MASSIVE suggestions post. Great minds think alike I suppose.
This might be a very promising update after all... But, anyway, I like where their goin' with this update. Please, tell me there is more "cool" stuff coming! PLEASE!
