Is it really incompatible with all other mods???!!! That SUCKS!! I am on a mod-installing streak... Lol... If you all could see all these backups in my recycle bin... I was going to install this... But it aint compatible with ANYTHING!! D:
(PM me if it is compatible or if you (the creator of this mod) is working on it. THANKS!)
It isn't incompatible with everything, just forge mods or any mod that modifies the same files BTW does. Flowerchild has also said countless times he doesn't support compatibility.
Okay, I'm having some trouble installing this mod. (Although I've played it before and loved it, I just haven't used it recently). I'm on a mac, and if you google "better than wolves install mac" all the results are way out of date and from when this mod used forge. I installed modloader correctly, and then put all the files from MINECRAFT-JAR into the minecraft.jar folder in the bin. When I open minecraft the main menu is entirely black and white and when I do anything it crashes. I didn't know what to do with the stuff in FORGE-SRC. any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I tried this again, and now it gets stuck on the done loading screen.
The 2 files in the FORGE-SRC folder go in the minecraft.jar as well. Hopefully that solves it.
Is there a version of stone already made that is lighter and smoother somewhere in here? If not could someone make one? I'd try myself but it would end up looking wretchedly terrible.
Ok, Brilliant mod, it's been getting better and better since it was made, not a fault in sight.
Although...
I do have a request: The pottery system is brilliant, though hard to figure out, and only vaguely described on here. Not a problem. It can be figured out. Though, I'm not particularly patient; could we be treated to faster turn-tables, a separate crafting recipe or just more gears on the side? Or maybe just throw the amount of clay lumps needed for, per say, the urn, on to the table and have it be made? If not, then that's not a problem, but the massive systems used for automating these things could be made much faster and therefore rewarding with it.
You're truly one of the best mod makers in history, and I've been able to cope with the time it takes for a wolf to... well, you get the picture, because of all the content. I just think that a few of the mechanics could be faster again, it's not a requirement but a request to make it easier and faster.
BTW is best mod!
At first it is pretty slow but once you get automated you'll burn through clay. I recommend Battosay's pottery system if you want to choose which is made.
I was wondering if you support making compatibility patches? A new update of a mod I use crashes with this. I believe it's because he added a new type of exp. I don't think it would be too much work but I'm no modder so...Great mod anyway, I hate standing in front of mob grinders for hours to get lv. 50.
can anyone link me to the most up to date download that wll be compatible with minecraft 1.2.5? i quit minecraft for a while and am just coming back and want a new texture pack. help meh!!!
You could always look in the OP, that's where all downloads are.
They go in the Texture Pack .zip, but then in a subfolder called 'btwmodtex'
Example: Imagine "[32x] Battosay Mix" is your zip folder for this texture pack, create a folder called btwmodtex, name the pictures the correct name, and drop them in.
You also need to name them correctly.
I will release a download for easy installation when i finish the last of the blocks. Which may be later today.
Cool that'll be easier, I won't have the wrong extension.
EDIT: The hemp texture has white around it. I did go in and try to erase it in gimp but it didn't work. Did I screw something else up?
Is mod support on your list of things to do when you finish the vMC textures? I loved this back in 1.8 and now I can use it again, thanks for reviving it.

This has been brought up before, and I think everyone here would like to keep it from coming up again.

Thanks for this, it fits perfectly with this amazing pack I've been waiting for this.

Thanks it works now. I went back through and they were saved as .jpg not .png.

When I tried to put these textures in my texture pack folder the textures won't show in game. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I very much doubt that FC, or anyone here, will care much...
