    I'm slightly confused. Can this mod be used for 1.2.5 or not? Is it for 1.1 AND 1.8? Or did I have a brain fart and I'm missing something?

    I would like to know if I can change spawn rates for mobs.
    Specifically the Octopus.
    I built a nice house/base along the coast and there are literally 20 of them at all times firing at me.
    Why won't I move you ask?
    I like coastal houses.
    Great mod so far though. I'm glad this finally got upgraded. If I can get this to work with ThaumCraft properly I could then own an amazing magical spider factory I use for pumping out millions of babies.
    My spider lady parts will be sore in no-time.

    I recently began a new save with the newest version of the YogBox. My spawn put me RIGHT INSIDE a pantheon. It felt great at first, but when I started to use the blocks in the ground and ceiling for tools, I felt like I was cheating. An almost infinite supply of iron does that.

    You could say I'm lucky to win all that gold and iron right on spawn.
    But when it's a survival game, I feel like it's too...."easy"
    So I started a new save :/
    Keep up with the updates, man. You're a miracle worker.
    I may not have been a member of this forum for long, but I've used your mod since the earliest of it days. I'm like your guardian angel. No matter what version of minecraft it is, it isn't fun without Millénaire! You and DrZhark need to be hired by Mojang. Really.
    Or atleast get some kind of donation from them. You both work so hard to bring out the potential Minecraft has.

    Great job.
    I like this mod. It's simple. Get's me food and pretty much makes bread useless to me.
    But I can't help but like fishing in MineCraft, especially with mcMMO's take adding in stats and lucky casts.

    Here is some food for though. Instead of making fishing more simplified and manufactured, why not try and make it more fun so people will actually want to fish and not wait for a block to spawn it?
    I can imagine having different sized fish with different types of poles. Oh the options and joys...

    As modders and users of Minecraft, thousands of us have come together in these forums in search of one thing. The ultimate experience (in MineCraft). Perhaps it is time for a change. We need to come together stronger than ever before and have set guidlines for how a mod is made.

    Whoa whoa whoa, I'm not asking for you to change the world. I'm asking for a collective initiative to make installing mods and playing them simpler and easier.

    I'll give you an example. Bethesda recently came out with a Steam client addition that allowed users to easily download and install mods with the slick of a mouse. There are even option to upload your own and even rate other's using a star system.

    Why not have THAT for Minecraft? When Minecraft starts up every time I install a new mod I'm practically biting my fingernails hoping I don't get a black screen or the vague "1-Second Error Screen". Why not have a client that tells me if it wil lwork for my version? In the long run it could even tell me updates on mods I like and even allow me to downgrade to an earlier minecraft.bin

    This seems awfully ambitious. How can I back this idea up?
    How can I make my voice heard? By also making it your voice.
    Like this thread. Post it to friends. Give it to Notch. Give it to admins. Give it to your mother.
    Let the community know that a mod like this needs to be made.
    A mod that helps shape a brighter future for all of Minecraft.
    A mod that helps us as a consumer and helps us as modders.
    A mod that will set a new standard for the online PC world (in Minecraft).

    Heck, if we push ourselves hard enough, maybe the client can change block ID's automatically.
    This game has so much potential yet it goes wasted, day by day, to new boring blocks like new colored planks. This then forces everyone to worry about changing mods and downloading files all over again. Terrible. So why not make an easy to use database and client that holds all the mods for download?

    Curse could easily host it. Why Curse? Not only will you have to be a member of Curse to use it, the client is also linked to banners that advertise other things for Curse and other websites/products.
    Curse uses the proceeds for their servers and ends up helping develop one of the most important mods IN MINECRAFT HISTORY.

    BulletPoints:
    1)Create a standard for mod creation (placement of files)
    2)Allow the client using the new system to easily modify vanilla MC (Magic Launcher Style Oh'yeaaaaa)
    3)The client in the near future can possibly MAKE other mods compatible as far as block-ID's and other errors.

    Here's the only downside. This fantastic idea is blown to the ground because I don't know a lick of programming. That's why I posted it in the idea section.
    Don't just read this as an idea. Read this as a plea for help. Feel it in your gut.
    You KNOW this client would be awesome to have.
    You KNOW it would make mods so much simpler.
    You KNOW you will want to download it and use it.

    Infact. The Tekkit Launcher already has a head start. They know what they are doing over there.

    speaking of that. the effects of high taint/arua should be toggleable.


    If you don't want to worry about taint, then play the older ThaumCraft. Honestly, alot of #2 was designed around balancing out how you get this magic energy and now you just want to take it out? That makes condensors and filters practically useless. Sure, you'll get your vis in the long run, but at the cost of sacrificing the only thing a crucible can't break down. FUN.

    I have figured out the problem on my own, me thinks. Earlier that day I upgraded the RAM on the laptop to prep it for the MC server. There is a problem with it and I have replaced the laptop with it's older memory. It's been running fine now for a good 30 minutes. Maybe I just need to allocate the memory correctly to make up for the loss.
    8 gigs is more than enough than a newer 12 gig. I'll return it.
    I'm also sure that I won't need that many gigs for a server that will hold maybe 4 people. I'm not some McMMO server. lol

    Thanks for helping me atleast. You two. If you have any suggestions or tips from here just fly'em on me. My mind is like a sponge.

    Well, the computer already had Java installed when I got it. Perhaps there are factory setting that ASUS put in before they ship out their computers. I'm going to find everything Java related and wipe it. Maybe that will get rid of any previous settings.
    I hope someone that knows Java to a hardcore standard sees this thread and enlightens us.

    I tried it just now. No luck. It's still giving me the same problem in the error report. Odd isn't it?
    I wonder why the desktop one won't crash.
