I lured two mooshrooms back to my main base to start a farm. After that, moved a mooshroom to each area that is used often and set up little feeding stations, using a dispenser and pressure plate to pop a wooden bowl into your hands as you step up trapped mooshroom. Just have to hold the left trigger to fill the bowl and drink, repeat as needed. Also put up signs reminding friends to put dirty dishes back in the dispenser after. Best source of free food when your stationary for a while.
Yeah, but didn't Etho's design require you to stand in a particular spot to get the skeletons to break to the right?
No, Etho's used a timed trapdoor. If a skeleton dropped into the sorter it would just stand there for a second or 2 then the floor would drop out from under him. A creeper would run instantly one way to avoid a trapped ocelot and fall down a separate hole. Zombies would try to attack a trapped villager in the other direction and fall down a 3rd hole
For really high climbs, that are used often, I prefer a boat/water source block elevator. Cuts travel time in half or less. I use ladders occasionally when building, but the only time I really used vines was as a fall damage reset on my endermen farm.
I set up a system with 16 dispensers, all aimed at a water conveyer that ends at a collection hole in the wall...Using 2 buttons, where one button sends all 4 pieces of armor and the 4 main tools. Other button sends 32 torches, in case I died in a cave somewhere
I've tried a few different tests with animal spawning.. It seems that pigs, cows and sheep seem to mostly share a limit of around 50 or so.Chickens and wolves seem to have a limit of around 50 each as well, but not shared with anything. Mooshrooms have a limit of 10.
I have 18 furnaces built into the floor of my storage room.. Have a checkered pattern with furnaces and cobblestone that looks pretty good. Only use blaze rods for fuel since setting up a blaze farm. Since blaze rods cook 12 items, I usually throw in 60 items at a time, so none is wasted
You can set up a 5 minute timer using a dispenser, a wooden pressure plate, ans some disposable items. Setup so dispenser fires onto the pressure plate, which is set up on an inverter. When 5 minutes is up, the item will despawn sending a signal. Use signal to trigger dispenser again and pistons in farm
My current seed has this same problem. Loaded it up in creative, threw the eye until it stopped moving, and dug straight down. Got all the way to bedrock, excavated twenty to thirty blocks in all directions, even cleared it out all the way back up to the surface. Found one half formed room and one that was completely encased in stone. No portal, not even a hint of a frame. And it's nowhere near the edge of the world. If anybody wants to give it a go, the seed name I used was: Jessica
Not sure if you're still searching, but I tried out Jessica as a seed. Found the end portal at x-2 y47 z28.
I made the landing pad in my farm around y level 5, and haven't had any enderman teleport out after taking their fall damage. I flooded about half of the end, and covered the hard to reach spots with half slabs. Used 6 layers of 32 piston pushers to get them down to one punch kills. Also, used vines blocked by buttons to reset fall damage 43 blocks from the pad , so all endermen have same health. Works like a charm...
