posted a message on The Wanderer Challenge

In this challenge, rather than settling down and living a cozy life, its the opposite. Your constantly on the move, seeking out villages and creating outposts. Without any more lore, lets get into it:

To start off, you may play in peaceful or Easy. The challenge is not to survive, but conquer. Peaceful allows you to go through the challenge and ONLY focus on it, easy makes you focus on mobs, defenses, and hunger.

Next, use the seed -8287162324158451596. You may use any seed but keep this in mind: You must be close to horses, and close to even coordinates. (EX. 1000, 0, 1000 or 1500, 0, 1500.) This seed spawns you in next to a group of horses as well next to 0, 0, 0. This seed was made in 1.13.2

When starting off, enable creative and spawn in a saddle. This is to keep challenge moving rather than tediously searching for one.

You may take as long as you want starting off: grabbing resources, making armor, or farming food if your playing on Easy. You cannot make a house. You can only carry whats in your inventory, so choose wisely.

To make it harder, you may only use the iron tier and below. This means wooden, stone, gold, and iron tools/weapons. You may only mind diamonds for trading. No tools or armor made of diamond.

Once you get your resources, find a horse or donkey and begin your adventure. This is a important step: you may only get 1 horse from each herd, so if it dies, you must find a entirely different herd. Will you choose a donkey for extra inventory space, or a horse for more jump? This will be one of your most valuable allies, keep it alive at all costs. If it dies, due to mobs, fall damage, fire, etc, you must build a grave. Place down a stone block at its death place, and surround it with 4 different flowers. If you are not a fan of building, this challenge has a lot of it.

So, now to the big stuff: Outposts. Outposts can be made 2 different ways: in a village or on its own. A major part of this challenge is villages. If you find one, you are required to do the following:

-Surround the village in a 2 block tall wooden wall. You may go all out, or keep it simple. This is to stop mobs on easy/ and intruders on peaceful.

-Make a watchtower. You may make it as its own building, or modify a existing building, like the church.

-Light the village up with torches. Make sure no mobs spawn/ it is completely lit at night.

-Follow through at least 5 trades. They must each be unique trades; no repeats.

Normal outposts may be made anywhere. You can build them at any biome, any landmass, or any coordinate. These require more resources to build. This is to stop players from making them willy nilly. They require the following:

-A 3 block tall wall made of stone brick, at least 20x20 or more.

    -A watchtower made of cobblestone.

-A hotel for guests, with at least 2 beds.

-A main living area for you, with at least a double chest, a bed, a crafting table, and a furnace.

-A farm with wheat, potatoes, or carrots, at least 5x5 or more.

-If you are making a waterside outpost, build a dock with at least 1 boat.

Outposts may seem expensive to make, but they worth the materials.

For one, they are the only places you may hold items in chests. Without outposts, you could only have whats in your inventory, nothing else. They are also the only places you may sleep. Keep in mind you may not stay in one place for more than 3 days, you must constantly be exploring. They also are the only places you may store your horse. Want to explore an ocean? Leave your horse at an outpost, and come back for him eventually.

    Last requirements:

-The playable map must be limited to a certain space. This is to make outposts useful to make, and not something you will never come back too. It may be any number to the thousand. 1000x1000, 2000x2000, so on and so forth. Remember the rule to start at 0, 0? Well this is why. Starting at 1500, 0, 1500? If you limit yourself to 3000x3000, 4500 is the limit of the map. This may be expanded if you explore an entire area.

-You may add on to villages/graves/bsaically anything past what the requirements. You can add 2 watchtowers, make an iron golem, make an enchanting area, add extra flowers to the grave or make it larger; the possibilities are endless. Whats written down is only required, anything you want, you may add.

-Natural resources may be mined anywhere. You may strip mine anywhere, chop trees anywhere, etc. You may also use furnaces and crafting tables anywhere, but not beds.

Any questions will be answered, and any rules you come up with will be added. This challenge is meant to test your ability to survive with limited resources, and make you explore the world, as well as come back to places you've been already. Feel free to post pictures of your favorite outposts, or the magnificent graves of your fallen horses. Have fun!

What should we call you?: Mrshneeblie

Age: 15 1/2. I am mature for my age, but if you want me to be 16 that's fine.

    Country + Timezone: USA, CST

    Discord: Mrshneeblie#7232

Tell us a bit about yourself: I started playing in 2012 and am trying to get back into the game after a few months of not playing. I have a pet rabbit, and I often play my dad, who may or may not make an application as well.

What do you wish to bring to the server? Do you have any goals? I'd most likely make a few shops around the main spawn area. I love doing community activities with the rest of the server, or possibly even host them. I love terraforming so I could help with that as well.

What is your favorite thing to do in-game?: Exploration. I love stumbling across strange formations and saving the coordinates for later use. I also enjoy building cities.

posted a message on Illager Beast taming

When the beast was first revealed at Minecon, I instantly thought of if it could be tamed. I thought of a way it could be tamed:

For one, you’d need to kill all the pillagers first. This eliminates the “easy way” of rushing in when the raid first starts. You’ll need to take care of all the pillagers while at the same time keeping the beast under control. When they are all killed, you use either golden apples or golden carrots (can’t decide, maybe something from the village itself?) it can be tamed. I’m unsure if it will be like ocelots; walking up to you slowly if you hold food or like wolves. Anyway, their movement speed is slower than a horse, so traveling isn’t it strong point. Rather, it can use its head for a charge attack, where it charges toward at a high speed. It damages mobs and may destroy a select number of blocks. He could both be used for combat, as well as mining, since he can charge into stone and destroy it.

posted a message on Best use for 8 diamond ?

Diamond pick for sure. It will allow a easy way to mine obsidian and let you go to the nether. I actually suggest making 2. If you don't, make a sword and enchantment table.

Really, making a Minecraft 2 wouldn't really be necessary. They could just update Minecraft.

Lots of times I forgot to shift when building up high or near lava, still happens by the way, and, well, the rest is obvious.

I love to build in a acacia biome. Maybe set up a temp. base there and look for a acacia biome. They spawn massive and amazing mountains. Look up some pictures.

What would they do other than attack? what would be there drops if you kill them? What will it craft? You cant just say "I want hippos because they are endangered." and expect support. Try to give in depth detail.

I love the everything about it but a 1 thing. The potion of aim seems overpowered. Imagine having it on a PVP server. I love the idea but the barracuda should probably be one of the rarest mobs you have named.

I play on easy. I normally only build so I don't want to have to deal with hunger/mobs often.

posted a message on Stuck in the Stone Age Challenge

Lore: You are the first human to ever live. At this time, a darkness is taking over the world, eating up the world until the planet disappears. When you awake as you are created, you hear one thing: "Help this world, or be taken with it." Without any idea of what you are here for, you travel on to start a adventure. The quote echos in your mind: Help this world, or be taken with it."

    GOAL:

Defeat the cause of the darkness, or the Ender Dragon, and save the world.

Think its easy? Well imagine doing it in the stone edge... and that's what you do!

Whats the challenge part of it?

You are the first human, so you aren't skilled at much. You must beat the dragon and everything up to it with stone tools/weapons, iron armor, and a bow. Not much else to explain.

    Requirements

    1. Your house must be built in a cave. (Cave Men theme)

    2. you may not use any tools or weapons other than stone tier. This is made a exception for a bow and a diamond pick. (You must only use the pick to get obsidian for a nether portal to get blaze powder; throw it in lava after use.)

    3. You may use leather or iron armor. Not much else for that.

    4. The only other use for diamonds other than a Pickaxe is for an enchantment table. You are not required to use one, but if you are struggling, feel free to craft one.

    UNABLE TO USE

    1. You cannot use XP farms, only grinding on the surface during night and such. (This rule is for enchantment table users, look at Requirements)

    2. You cannot do any form of housing except in caves. Your houses do not need to be stone age themed, but you get "extra credit" if you do.

That's about all, and 1 more thing. If you get frustrated, please don't go into creative. Take a short break and take your time. Enjoy this challenging challenge!

posted a message on New Dye Slot for Armor!

Before you say this is useless, (somewhat is), I don't really play Minecraft just to kill both bosses and quit. I mess around and my favorite updates are things you don't really need to use, (horses for example), but are there for options and fun. What this post is, is to add a slot next to armor to dye it. No one wants to wear leather armor just to have dyed armor, so I want their to appear 4 slots next to all the armor spots for gold, iron, and diamond armor. Its a very simple feature that other than being nice to have, can be used on servers to have teams with not only leather armor. (Team Yellow, Team Blue, etc.) Please leave feedback or other simple ideas in the comments. Thank you! :D
