Well, I believe they updated, changed or rewrote their rendering system. Since it is only the first release of it there may be some more optimization to add in coming updates.
This is a really good map, I can see this fitting in with the actual MC game for Adventure Maps. I don't know if it would be possible but for picking a skin, you should be able to link it to a skin page from skindex or something. I don't know.
Look at the normal spawner class. Copy that code into a new spawner And you might want to extend your class to the base spawner class(whatever that is). THen just change the entity thats spawning from the old code, and set it to the new entity. I don't know anything about the mob spinning inside the spawner though. Good Luck, and I hope I helped
That would work except, the Wither Skeleton ins't an entity (Atleast in 1.5.2 it wasn't, don't know bout 1.6.2), all it is is just a customised entityskeleton
