This is my small survival server.

Host machine:
* 8 GB RAM (5 GB dedicated to the server)
* 3.4 GHz Intel i7 (quad core) (actually 2.2 GHz, but all active cores boosts to 3.4 when needed)
* 15 Mb/s download speed (only 2 up though)We just upgraded the internet speed! It's now 50 down and 5 up :smile.gif:
(The computer the server is on is weaker, but the specs above is for the computer I'll move the server to if the current server can't handle it)

Umm... I cannot connect. I get the error message "The server responded with an invalid server key". And yes, I am playing with 1.0.0

I would donate if:

*It gave me hours of fun, or less than an hour of very very fun.
*I was old enough to have PayPal (or use my money for any inter et services in general :/ )

I would definately not pay to get it. I would have to play it to decide if the creator deserves my donation.

If you got MoCreatures installed, it's probably an ogre. They are included in MoCreatures, and can break blocks. That's probably the sound you heard.

THE CAKE
Minecraft ALU

I learned how to make a full adder yesterday, so today was time for my first ALU. The best version of yesterday's adders got a place in todays ALU, which is 6 bits. For you who don't know; ALU stands for Arithmetic logic unit. It was made on the Redstone Development Foundation server. It got the name The Cake because of its many layers. peterc1 commented that it looked like a yellow layer cake, and that inspired me to make its name.

This is the 13 functions it can do:

very poor decision of how you market your server.... absolutely horrible.

COAL BLOCK ADDITION


This is a very simple, yet reasonable suggestion I've had ever since I started playing Minecraft.

All it is, is the addition of adding a coal block.

BUT WHAT IS IT ?!


The Coal Block is a block that can be crafted using 9 pieces of coal.





Since there is Iron Blocks, Gold Blocks, Diamond Blocks, and Lapis Lazuli Blocks crafted in the same manner, I think the Coal Block would be a suitable addition. Although, the Coal Block does have some different properties:


​Much like Netherrack, the Coal Block will stay infinitely lit.
This makes for much easier fireplaces, not having to go to the nether first.




As for smelting, the Coal Block can smelt 64 blocks.
It would 72 (9x8=72) But 64 would make things easier.




The Coal Block is VERY flammable, and will likely catch fire from flames/lava up to 5 blocks away.

Like I said, It's a very simple idea. This is NOT a mod, I just retextured the netherrack block.

If you have any ideas you want for a mod be sure to post your ideas in this thread or pm me, I want to code some stuff, but I am not sure what to make, any ideas will be read! Hopefully when I next check the page their will be some ideas I can start to code! =D

Add doors to my creations

As most redstone experts know, arrows only trigger pressure plates if the same plate has a particle effect touching it. Taking this idea into account, I realized that you could open doors by performing a critical hit on a mob.



First, you build this small hut for a 2-block tall mob and put a pressure plate next to it. Put a block above the plate to ensure the mob doesn't activate it. On the other side, you create a hole to shoot an arrow through.



The arrow is shot through this hole and onto the pressure plate.



Then, you go back around, jump in the air and, while falling, punch the monster.



And tada, a redstone signal is provided and outputted to anywhere you want. The best thing is, the signal persists until the arrow is lost, so doors can be opened for up to a minute before closing.

Explanation: When a critical hit is performed on any mob, it releases some cross-shaped particles around the mob for a brief second. These particles, when touching a pressure plate with an arrow on it, is enough to activate the pressure plate and send out a redstone signal.

This special technique could be used for challenge maps and special locks.

But what if the mob despawns? Simply rig up a zombie (usually the best mob to use. Creepers explode and don't have dungeons, skeletons shoot and spiders don't fit) dungeon which flows zombies to the hut and have the zombie stand on a different pressure plate (a stone one would be better), which is rigged up to a piston which closes the output, so no more zombies get through. When the zombie is killed or despawns, the pressure plate is released and the output is reopened, allowing another zombie through.
