Simply, Just build you city's a little lower. Though I'm sure this will be fixed. He's onto it with the world height bugs
I can't build it lower. I used WorldEdit to move a chunk of land into the air, and moving it down would be risky because of the sheer size. Also, my tower is meant to go all the way to 256, and the lowest point in the tower's top room is still too high to sleep in.
It's been a problem for a few versions, and it hasn't been fixed, so I hope they are actually paying attention to this.
I would say you could do a enderdragon potion, by using the egg as the main ingredient.
Of course, that would lead to a mass amount of problems, so it doesn't work. Oh well.
I support.

I want regular pigmen to be mobs that spawn a bit more frequently than endermen and attack both hostile mobs AND players. You know, a third "team" in the night-time battles?
When you sleep in a bed close to the height limit (like 246 and up), the view glitches out and shows the void. Then, when you die, you don't spawn at the bed. This is very annoying for sky cities. Please fix this, Jeb.
Sounds like a great mod idea, but not really a mode for vanilla, sounds a bit too complex then it should be.
I think this mode is fine in vanilla with a few modifications. I think the OP is a bit complicated. All we need is perpetual night and dying torches, and it will make a simple game-mode that would fit in easily.
Minecarts would be used underground in big mines. That's what I do. As for boats, the birds must rest a little, and won't be able to go long distances flying (ergo, over an ocean).
So the bird is slower overall than a boat? And I've never seen anyone use minecarts in a mine. We use them as trains and subways that go from empires to colonies (sometimes through the nether since 1 nether block = 8 real blocks, so it's way faster).
That's the point. That's what makes this mode challenging for people who crave it. It's totally fine if you don't like one aspect of it.
I like how you have to replace the torches. Torches are currently too easy to use as a way to keep your area safe. But what about jack-o-lanterns and glowstone?
There are many things that could be done with this! Maybe this could fool other mobs. For instance, if you are creeper, other creepers won't attack you during the potion's duration, and if you become a cow, other cows may be attracted to you. But careful, if you transform into a chicken, ocelots might try to pounce on you!
As for mob abilities and movements, there might have to be some tinkering done, but this is a GREAT idea, so many possibilities, +1 for you!
Thanks. I see a lot of possibilities too, but I am mainly excited about the trolling opportunities. I do a lot of trolling in multiplayer, but not the stupid kind like pouring lava everywhere. Mostly on my private server that a lot of my friends are on, I do non-destructive trolling like rigging a pitfall trap in front of someone's house. If I get TNT on a public server, I use it to rig a house rather than just blowing it up. I managed to get lava into a protected area on one server, and it flowed onto the spawn (which was hilarious because everyone kept dying, and the admin was confused).
But this would allow for even more semi-harmless trickery. I can imagine how funny it would be if I disguised a creeper as an iron golem in my friend's base, and it blew up on him.
Yeah, but perhaps if the player disguised as tamed wolves? Then nobody will try and tame you, and for some reason nobody ever goes after an enemy player's wolves unless they're actively attacking. You could also crouch to sit down.
Yeah, that would be good. What would be the ingredient for a tamed wolf though?
How would you attack? Also aggressive mobs in the sunlight that are not burning is slightly suspicious. A chicken in the middle of a base without grass is slightly suspicious as well. People also usually kill passive mobs they meet, for the drops. However, the overall idea is good.
You could attack normally like a player. The differences would be your movement speed, head movement (you can't turn your head for some mobs), and appearance (the mobs would not appear to hold items though).
Maybe we can make the player catch on fire at daytime if they are a zombie or skeleton? And also have the other weaknesses like endermen in water?
Instead of items being hidden, make it so you can't hold an item in your hand? If you equip one, would turn you back to normal.
But that wouldn't ruin most of the things you can do when disguised? Keep in mind that the potions would be quite expensive, the most expensive ones I think. Enderpearls are hard to get.
You know, this would also be cool if you turned yourself into a pig. Then, another player could put a saddle on you, and you could transport him! Also, what if a disguised player rides a pig? Pigs riding pigs riding pigs.... yo dawg....
I just want to remind you all that Jeb will never hear this idea unless you tweet it to him.
I don't know how to do that. Also, I have a feeling that they check these forums even though they say that they don't. If I had a suggestions page, I'd claim that I don't check it so less bad ideas get submitted. Just look at Mojang's GetSatisfaction page. It's full of trash like "fix the server overloaded error" (this is like asking them to make the Minecraft server magically give your computer more RAM or something).
Either way, the point is to produce buzz and publicity about it. My hope is that someone with more influence will try to tell Jeb about this.
three mobs undisguisable as:
SILVERFISH
WOLVES
TESTIFICATES!
I think those are all the non-drop mobs...
If you see a silverfish walking around, you know that it's a player. The wolves are obvious because they don't react to bones (and everyone who sees a wolf tries to tame it). Testificates have very specific behavior, making them also obvious. I don't think disguise potions are really needed for these.

This idea is good too, though.

Rotate with arrow keys? Just how it works in 3D editing programs.

He did? Wow, I can't wait for horses. I'm not too excited about the dragons though. I like my game to be medieval, but not fantasy.

CHICKEN SPIES! Is this a real meme? Cause some people I know kept calling chickens "spies".

Yes, with a splash potion.

But I don't like the name "Midnight Murder". How about "Nocturnal"?
