    Version 2.0.1 is out.
Completely rewrote the app, fixed many bugs and introduced some new bugs.
Faster and more secure downloading of data. Thanks to the guys at www.mcserverslist.net
New GUI conecept. Choose which windows you want, where you want it, and how big you want it.
Some functions don't work yet: You can't filter the serverlist yet, website and thread URL of the servers isn't downloaded yet, and you can't sort the favourites yet.

Try pressing "d". This enables/disables the map.

Yes, you are able to store servers you like to play on, so it might be suitable for you.

Should have got something out by thursday or friday I think.

    Little update:
Finally started working on it again. I decided to rewrite it, which made me kinda loose interest for a while. It's coming along nicely though and I hope to get it finished by the beginning of next week.

As you see the GUI has changed quite a bit, you are now able to place the windows wherever you want and as big as you want them.

P.S. Actually I'm not even sure if people are using it, but heh, I've learned a lot creating this app so I guess it was worth the time I invested.

You'll have to COMPLETELY rewrite this when beta 1.3 comes out :SSSS:

Unless his code is a real big mess this wont be necessary. :wink.gif:

I feel really stupid right now. :Pig:
I've installed version 0.4.2, but later I started version 0.3.7.5, whose shortcut has been on my desktop as well. This explains the "it worked before and suddendly it doesn't anymore" experience I guess.
Sorry for the hassle and inconvenience.

First off: Amazing tool, it can be really helpful in many different situations.
However, it stopped working without any apparent reason. As far as I know nothing changd. Firewall exceptions are still up, I didn't install any mods or similar. Now whenever I try to launch it it says:

OMG an exception in the Socket communication. What a surprise!
    Non negative number necessary.
    Parametername: count
    at System.Text.UTF8Encoding.GetString(Byte[] bytes, Int32 index, Int32 count)
    at DataSource.DS.HandlePlayerLocation(Byte[] message)

Already tried redownloading Minecraft & installing Modloader & Automap, but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

Why is it when I load an SMP map, I show up at the player start point instead of where I last was on the server?
This only happens in SMP. SSP is fine.

If this is a normal feature, it stinks. Please change it. Thanks.

Because the position of every player who played on the server is saved in the SMP map. Since MCEdit doesn't know which player you are, it isn't able to put you to where you last were.

CTF as in capture the flag? This is a planned game mode which will come at the earliest after Minecraft has reached a stable version I'd say.

Creating a new chunk only creates one layer of bedrock at the bottom of the selection - surely this isn't working like it's supposed to?

That's exactly what it's supposed to do. :smile.gif:
MCEdit can not (or does not) generate terrain with notch's algorithm. It only generates chunks containing one layer of bedrock. If you want to generate terrain the way Minecraft does, without having to walk for hours, then you'll need to use another tool. It was mentioned some pages ago iirc.

    Edit: There you go: viewtopic.php?f=1012&t=76563

i dont know what to do, i got the minecraft alpha game.
i only play offline, ( single player ) cuz i cannot pay for it atm... :tongue.gif: lol

anyway, i created a world with the game. save and quit, blabla
Then i start up MCedit to edit the map, so i edit, save.
then i want to play, but i only get a black screen...
Anyone knows what i did wrong ??
plz reply quik, i wanna play :smile.gif:
    thnkx!

It is a really bad idea to look for support when using a pirated version of the game, believe me.
Anyway: When do you get this blackscreen? Right after starting Minecraft, or while loading the world?
