I'm trying to make a "center" button for my server's forum BBCode, and I'm not sure what I need to put in the HTML replacement field... Can someone help me out with that?

I like full disclosure, so I'm going to reitterate what I said a couple posts back. We have already reached our goal, however, do to a minecraft article showing up on wired, and a new configuration involving some HAProxy voodoo, our bills are only going to increase!

We thank from the bottom of our hearts, all the people who have donated thus far, we're keeping the donation page up, so that anyone who wasn't able to, but still wants to, can!

You should update the OP so people know that the goal is reached but we are still accepting donations.

That's just one of many fake notch iIPs. We used to see this all the time in Creative classic before there was proper verification put in.

It really isn't a bug as much as Notch turned off verification.

I know, I just didn't feel like being technical... :smile.gif:

Unfortunately that was most likely not the real Notch. There is a bug that allows people to impersonate others at the moment.

It COULD have been him, but it's doubtful. Sorry!

Nice math and research! Someone should test this IRL in-game to see if this is true in practice...

posted a message on Quick Question
I've actually done this. Email Notch (I don't have his email anymore, but you can email [email protected] now) with your Payment verification email and your current username and the new one you would like. He's swamped in stuff right now, so it may take a while, but that's the only way currently.

He doesn't want to make it super easy to do so people who commonly grief can't just change names whenever they feel like it. So it's a little slower and harder on both sides, but better for the community as a whole (imho anyway).

    Hope this helps!

I was having issue trying to set the server spawn and just phrased the question really poorly... :sad.gif:

With the "normal" server (without any mods on it) you can't change the spawn /home point. The newer update will spawn a player wherever they last connected. But an individual player cannot change where they go when they type /home.

To change the server's global /home position, you can either use one of the Mods (I "THINK" heyo's does this, and I think others do it as well, the one I use does not so I don't know for sure which ones actually do) or you can use a map editor like MCEdit which can allow you to move the spawn point!

Don't forget though that it will spawn you on the highest point of that XY coordinate. So if you move the spawn to a cave underground somewhere, it will spawn you on the surface every time. Skylights are your friends in this case :smile.gif:

    Hope this helps!

posted a message on Looking for server
    Nanaja,
Welcome to Minecraft! There is a section just for people looking for servers and players. You can find it here, and it should be perfect for what you're looking for!

Let me know if you get stuck again! Good luck, and happy mining!

You'd be better off posting this in the Servers section, more of the people you're looking for will see it there.

It can be found here: Linky

posted a message on OUTDATED CLIENT
The minecraft_server.jar and/or the Minecraft_server.exe need to be re-downloaded too when you see that message. Sometimes the message is correct and it really is just the client, but most of the updates Notch has been putting out lately are more server-based than client based, so you will likely need to download both with every update.

Just /stop your current one, d/l the new one and start it right back up again. All your settings and level information will remain untouched!

    Hope that helps!

posted a message on MCAdmin revision 109
I apologize, but I'm apparently stupid with this part. I know I've asked before, but now it's more important that I try to make myself understand...

I enabled RCON in my server properties through your program. I set a port and changed the password. I forwarded the port on my router...what's my next step?

I went to ip.ip.ip.ip:port in my browser, but it just times out...

Do I need another mod that is a remote console? or does MCAdmin do that? Sorry to ask again...

Don't know if it'll help, but if you have a dual monitor, make sure you're playing it on your primary monitor. That's what fixed mine...
