I'm getting a crash with a savegame and I do not know what is causing it. Does anyone see something that would be causing it so that I can begin to fix the problem?
I have my account back now, and, best of all, I'm happy to say that we have some updates for MCA in the works. I'm setting a goal to get an update for 1.12 out within the next two weeks.
Glad to see my donations to that Nigerian prince named Wild8ama8oy were not wasted!
So playing with the hamster in the hamster ball...awesome BTW...I was wondering if you would ever consider adding a hamster ball track that we could put our hamster on and they just stay on it instead of following us around. I could then put in a track around the ceiling of our base and my hamster could just run around the base. Also, can you put hedgehogs in the balls?
Also, when was RF generation coming in or is it already there and I'm just missing it?
Hamster Wheels are not in this update. They are coming. They will be awesome.
Yes, we are updating to 1.12
So...yay 1.12
Also, can you please add the ability for hamster wheels to generate RF. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Also...pigs on treadmills...pigawatts needs to be a thing.
Ok, sorry...thanks for keeping this updated, but I'm also curious if you are intentionally moving off of 1.10.2 for features. I would like to request that you keep supporting 1.10.2 as long as it's the dominant post 1.7.10 version. 1.10.2 still has twice as many mods as 1.11.2.
Also, thanks for the shoulder ferrets. I used to do this with mine and it's awesome. Of course I had two ferrets so that I could duel wield.
Extreamly sad to see you go but I understand that life comes before pleasure. I would greatly love if you did open it for others to update Thaumcraft themselves so that Minecraft doesn't lose another amazing mod. I'm a little curious though, why is everyone saying about updating Thaumcraft 5 and not asking for Thaumcraft 6? I personally would rather have 6 than 5 if there is a choice as it has some amazing ideas in it that I really want play with. I know it comes down to what ever Azanor decides to release but I think 6 would be better than 5.
Well, I don't know the feature state of 6 but 5 was pretty fleshed out. If you're going to port something, I'd think it would make most sense to port the version that has more features complete. Plus TC5 has a LOT of addons and could also get ported.
Honestly, it'd be awesome if other mods like Witchery could be done like this, but some modders are just too paranoid, thinking that they'll be left in the dust, no credit given, that sort of thing. Hopefully Emoniph's not like that.
To be truthful at this point I'd be happy to hear if Emoniph is like anything. To my knowledge, no one in this community has heard from him. What I think everyone can agree on is that we don't ever want that to happen again to wonderful creative works and those that created them. IMO the greatest way a creative person can be respected, celebrated and compensated is by spawning more creative persons inspired from them.
I am considering my options in regards to letting other people work on it. Things get a bit complicated if I chose to do that in regards to the IP and so forth should I ever choose to return to modding or maybe turn Thaumcraft into something more than just a MC mod.
When Mithion stopped development of Ars Magica 2 in 2016, he used a licence to allow for development branches to be made in Minecraft future versions. It's why there is a 1.10.2 version on Curse.
Giving people a license to port the existing TC5 (the 1.7.10 version) to to future versions of MC will still give you the options you desire. Speaking as a fan, if you ever came back and developed TC6 for minecraft or even as a standalone game, it would be very difficult for anyone to legally challenge you as creator.
I'm not even sure the people wanting to help with the port to future versions would be talking about TC6 assets or name. CC Licenses exist for this very purpose.
I'm offering my help to assist you on this mod if you are willing to do this. I know a few other mainstream modders also expressed interest. I have a lot of experience with mods on 1.10.2 and 1.11.2 and I'm very active in the modding community. If you want to talk about this feel free to leave me a message.
Please Aznor, take McJty and the other modders up on their word. You might not feel like this but TC is too good to let die. Minecraft has moved on to 1.11.2 and beyond and there are many talented modders out there that can at least get TC5 up to snuff. The Twilight Forest developers just recently amended their licence to allow modders to bring that wonderful mod forward. I implore to to do the same. Extend licence to the top Patron folks to spearhead an effort to bring TC out of the shadows and back into modern day MC.
TC6 may be for another day, and something that I think only you should do. Leaving TC5 alone to rot seems like a a colossal mistake when there are so many people that love it and will help to make it something that others will enjoy. Isn't that why you do this? It's why modders mod. To make a fun thing, even more fun.
Please...for all of us players that look at TC as the gold standard of mods, allow the community (the very same community that you helped to build) to help.

What would be the correct arguments?

Crash log: https://pastebin.com/GDHeWUkc
This happens when I load into a savegame that was working just fine minutes before. Nothing changed between loads.

Hmm...I didn't see it in JEI...I'll look again.
Also, I was thinking you could make track and not pipes for hamsters. That way you can use the balls that you have already.
Also, small bug I noticed that the hamster ball didn't get used up when I put my hamster in it. Had a hamster in a ball and another in my inventory.

Yeah dragon corpses really need to despawn...if they don't this will become a massive problem after a while in a world.
