I can't help you so much with your problem here, but i assume it would be a testfor command block and a dummy scoreboard objective, but in Runescape you don't get Defence XP from taking damage, but from killing things with your XP set to either Shared or Defence.

Do i run these commands in a command block? I did the prerequisites and then i entered the other three in my chat but i have a feeling that thats not what im supposed to do and that "clock cycle" means a repeating redstone signal running the command
Is it possible to create a command that would track the amount of times a player gets hit, and everytime the player gets hit their defense level goes up. Once a player reaches a certain level, they can wear an armour set
Ex: in runescape, bronze armour is availabe from the start, everytime a player blocks an attack, their defense exp goes up until they level up. At level 10 they unlock iron armor and level 20 steel armor
So i was wondering if the same could be done in vanilla minecraft with commands, tracking the amount of times the player is hit until they level up, but prohibit a low level player from wearing high level gear
I havent played the mod yet but i would like to give a suggestion for when you get around to the armour again, i think that a system where certain armour is unlocked at levels would be a very neat feature that would also give incentive to fight. For example at levels 1-5 you can wear chainmail and then at levels 5-10 you can wear leather or vica versa (im not sure which armour of the two is better). Im not sure what type of xp or leveling system would be used though. I think that the current xp level system that is in vanilla would be great because if you die you basically loose progress and would be good for replayability but im sure that this would get annoying after a while

I think that with the 1.9 update almost being here, it would be a waste of effort
Edit: actually i would like to see a 1.8 version because im currently working on a map that could make good use of this mod

I recently created a minecraft Hamachi server and I would like for other players to join

and the max player limit is 15
The server will be on evertime I am on so that will be almost everyday
It is not whitelisted but if I begin to get problems from players it will be whitelisted
I am also looking for moderators or other people that can help me install plugins on the server
