I was the person who showed sach this, it was just a nifty video that really shows off the development in a really creative way, the videos he puts up are usually news, interesting showcases like this, and just a fun "this and that thing". It just has to be a good community video really.
I think i found this in my youtube recommended videos so nothing too fancy.

A gift code is licence key that a user is, as the name implies, allowed to gift. Being a gift makes it no less of a key attached to a copy of the game, and a licence key does not inherently mean there is a physical copy involved at all. A licence key is purchased to allow the claim of ownership over a digital copy of the game, the same thing a gift code entails, by differentiating because "licence key is attached to a physical copy" is not a solid statement over the difference of the two items. I do not see the definition of licence keys and gift codes being "clearly different" as you mentioned so point it out for me.
Just tell me if there's something wrong with my reasoning, but it seems fairly clear marketing a gift code is similar to reselling a licence key, which I think they do indeed cover in the Eula.

This is purely speculation so I'm probably a little off in my assumptions ./shrug
