Did you redo weapons and items too? If so pics please.

Yep. Check the raw previews near the download links to see 'em. Any images that I felt were way too large for the forums or just too technical I provided links only to.

Did you accidentally remove the download file. All I see is the armor and the mob packs but not the whole thing xD!

Sorry for the confusion, the female armor pack thing is the whole thing with female armors, I just haven't made a male armor version yet.

My world 1 has been totally curropted after I copiedyour files into my .jar file...I cant get it back to working :(

Sorry to hear that. :( My texture pack shouldn't have affected your save file though, as the systems are completely independent from each other. The only modifications I made were image-based. It might be an issue with the HD texture fix patcher or a bug with the client itself. If the game just isn't loading the world altogether, you probably need to delete the "version" file in your ".../minecraft/bin" folder, load up the game, let it repatch, run the HD texture fix installer, select 64x64, and finally drag my files back into your minecraft.jar.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. :) I plan to take all good criticism to consideration when improving the pack further.

As per requests, I've added a MOB-Only Pack with 64x64 and 32x32-compatible resolutions for use with other texture packs. I'd do a 16x16 one, but too much detail is lost and can't be refreshed or rebuilt without extensive pixel work. So 32x32 is as low as I'll go, seeing as that's one of the more popular texture pack sizes. Check the bottom of the main thread for download links.

Also I agree mostly with the criticism of the ores and (especially) the icon sheet needing a bit of work. I think the main reason the ores don't stand out as much as they do is that I wanted them to sorta seamlessly blend in with all the solid rock around them. I'll see if I can get them popping out a bit more though while retaining the seamless tiling. As for the redstone ore icon, it looks the way it does to resemble the cut gems that are placed on the ground for redstone circuits.

Glass... Yeah. If Notch recoded the way the glass blocks were handled to support alpha transparency I'd use a glass texture. As a matter of fact though I did use a glassy texture for a good while on my own before switching it to the lattice pattern because the 'shine-marks' were getting on my nerves. Before switching to the lattice I tried removing the streaks altogether and just having a border, but while it made great glass domes, it made glass seem kinda pointless on smaller single windows. Overall I'll probably never be satisfied with glass unless it gets full alpha support, but I'll see what I can do about making alternate glass terrain.png files.

I Will no longer be updating this listing with new updates, but the pack is not dead and still available to all for free! You can find the latest updates at any of these locations:
    Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Misa64
    Discord: https://discord.gg/UaJCfh2xbp

    Curseforge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/misas-realistic

    • Information/Disclaimer
This texture pack relies on multiple advanced features introduced by MCPatcher. As MCPatcher is no longer in development, Optifine is now required to properly use this resource pack. You will need to ensure you have the latest version installed for the version of the game you are on. As a result of the switch from MCPatcher to Optifine, some old features have unfortunately been removed or altered to function within the limitations of Optifine. This pack is also posted on Planet Minecraft. Be sure to give me a diamond over there to help support me.

As always, Be sure to read the installation instructions! This is an HD Pack, it is not designed for un-patched vanilla Minecraft! After you have read and followed the instructions, and you still have trouble with installation, check the F.A.Q. If you still have issues, please post them on the thread or go to my Discord server. Do not PM me with tech support issues regarding getting the texture pack to work.

      • Features

        • Emphasis on Realism Without Going Too Photographic - Materials are designed to make sense and resemble the components they're crafted from. Art style is semi-realistic and inspired by old-school RPG's and raycast (boomer) shooters with a medieval-lite setting.
        • Reduced Eyestrain - Colors are a bit darker and more desaturated (or muted) than vanilla to allow for longer playtime without being too harsh on the eyes.
        • Mostly Faithful to Vanilla Intent - No strong theme that alters textures so drastically that you're guessing what's what. Builds made in this pack will work well with those playing with vanilla textures but allow for more creative detail with the pack. (See the next feature.)
        • Advanced Texture Features for Improved Variety - Supports connected textures, random mobs, custom models, and much more. This greatly improves creative options with block placement while making exploration more interesting and diverse.
        • Easter Eggs - With the increased diversity of blocks and mobs, expect to discover rare little references and surprises on occasion.
        • User-Supported, But Always Free to All - This is a passion project going as far back as 2009, and as such is something I wish to always share freely. This work is also made entirely possible by support from users like you. With enough support to making a living off of this, I plan to dedicate 40 hours a week to working on this pack with routine updates, including early access/indev stuff for those who support me on Patreon.

(The two larger lines above or outside red are at 32m and 16m respectively

    • History of the Pack
This texture pack started off as a 16x16 terrain.png for Creative mode back in 2009. I made it for myself and had no intentions of ever releasing it. As time passed, Indev came along and I adapted this terrain.png to be used with it. It wasn't long after that that Infdev came around and I found out you could get by with 32x32 sized tiles, so I reworked my old tiles, maintaining the general look and feel of my original pack, half of the source files I made were in 64x64. By the time Infdev became known as the main Survival mode, MCPatcher had caught my eye. Since many of my source files were already in 64x64, updating the rest to that seemed the next logical step. At some point though I began to reach a creative block and was unable to objectively review and improve my own work. To solve this I decided to upload and share it to receive constructive criticism. But before I could do that, I decided that a terrain.png wasn't enough for a release of a texture pack for me. And releasing a WIP was out of the question, so around the time of the Halloween update, I spent a whole day doing nearly every single other piece of art I could edit, including the mobs and items. Uploaded it and got the criticism I needed to improve my pack even further for my own personal use. ...Or so I thought! :P

Please link me to your texture pack thread.

I'll send PM's to all that have shown interest whenever I've got a thread started. I expect to finish it in the next couple of days or so. Maybe even tomorrow if I don't go braindead.

Yep, that's all four. You get a creeper cookie, which isn't really all that tasty but makes for a handy landmine. :P

And to those interested in my reskins. As soon as I finish all the art, I'll be releasing everything as a 4x (64x64) resolution texture pack. It'll probably take awhile to finish, but should be worth the wait. Most of it's done already, but I'd rather not release a mostly-finished product.

What I still need to do:

-Gui (Shouldn't take long, I've done it before, but accidentally lost one piece of it.)
-Item icon sheet (This'll probably take more time than anything.)
    -Zombies (Both types)
    -Chickens (Ducks?)
    -Cows
    -Saddles
    -Armor (All but gold done.)

    DONE! http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=73861

    Edits: To-do list.

You stole my idea for the creeper pumpkins! :P I had anticipated the need to update my texture pack and did textures for pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and the three unique blocks in "Hell" from screenshots about three days ago. I was very pleased when I finally got to test them and see results last night. :)

And just a few hours ago I had updated my textures for some of the MOB's including the Ghast. I still have to do the Pigmen zombie things.

For fun: Spot all four Creeper faces in the first screenshot! :P

I recently just finished something along similar lines. It's a bit subtle, but it basically replaces the man in the moon with, well... yeah.

Just squint a bit if you don't catch it right away.

If anyone wants my sun or moon, here's the link:

Edit: And here's the higher-res source image I edited if anyone wants to scale it to their own liking.

I really like the stylized look your use of fences fences bring to the theme. I wish I would've had fences and steps available to me when I built my Japanese castle. I'd refurbish mine to use the new components more readily, but with scale issues it'd probably be better to just build a new one from scratch.. I'm too lazy though.. Farming all the obsidian for the roofing was a huge enough of pain as it was.

This is basically the effect I settled with back then though: For interiors, to simulate paper walls I initially used a combination of sand for interiors and cloth for exteriors, but then I found that the "spider" picture resembled paper walls so I ended up using a lot of those as well inside.

It's really hard to sum up the entire complex built with a few pictures, but basically there's a castle with a courtyard with military, residential, economic, and royalty districts. There's also an outlying small set of houses that surround the whole area with some temples and pagodas here and there.

Some of the styling I used for the courtyard up close really doesn't look as good as it could, but keep in mind this was built months before all the stuff we have now. The fence around the small tower here is the only recent addition.

For the main tower of the royalty section I used a lot of obsidian and gold for a pillar system that goes through all four stories. You can see the use of the "spider" picture here too.

And here's one of the older hallways with sand and wood for paper wall emulation.

I really wanted to build up the whole area more to make a nice big Japanese city but I got side-tracked and ended up building a massive Viking settlement across from the bay this was built. :P And on that I made a much more liberal use of fences!

Thanks, but how do I do that?

Depends on your graphic editor. To double the resolution you just resize the entire image to be double what it was...

Simply double the resolution of your terrain.png. Liquids will no longer be animated, bricks and gold blocks will be a little buggy-looking from some angles, and fire from the firestarter will look weird, but you'll have your green lava.

Edit: Apparently there's a patcher that fixes the brick/gold/fire issue with high res texture packs, and you can still have animated water with your green lava. Just make sure Animated Lava is unchecked. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173
