posted a message on 1.13 function illegal argument error

I'm keep encountering an error whenever I attempt to load my function. It will fail to load when doing /reload and the game considers it to be unknown. I checked the output log and I found this:

    Couldn't load function at anothermod:functions/test/poison.mcfunction

    at java.util.concurrent.CompletableFuture.uniApply(CompletableFuture.java:602)
    ... 6 more

This only happens when I do /reload

My function is just 1 line:

    effect give @s minecraft:poison 5 5 true

I have it saved in UTF-8 (no BOM) and there's no forward slash before the command. I've tried replacing it with other commands such as /say but I still get the same error message in the output log. Does anyone know what's going on?

    - 12+ hats to wear
    - 2 maps (with another one coming soon) to fight on.

posted a message on Block that can only be seen through from one side?

I remember seeing a youtube video about a portal that showed an endstone room when viewed from above, but was completely invisible when viewed from the side of below. I'm trying to integrate this concept into my map by having one team of players being able to view the other team inside the room, but the other cannot see them. I can't find the video, so does anyone have an idea of how this could be done?

posted a message on Tracking a team's total score and displaying it in the sidebar.

I'm having an issue with correctly adding up a team's total score.

A team will win the game when they reach the required amount of points (Let's say player kills in this instance, and a required score of 30 kills). I set up a fake player named "Red" and a dummy objective named "Score" for the sidebar (shown in the attachment), with a not displayed, playerKills objective called "RedKills."

Using advice from a previous thread, I decided to use /scoreboard players operation (My command is /scoreboard players operation Red Score = @a[team=RedTeam] RedKills).

However, when I was testing this with an alt account, the score would only increment on the scoreboard for whoever got the first kill (I.e whichever player killed the other first, only their kills would increase the score displayed. The other player's kills would not add to the displayed score unless the first player's score was set to 0.)

I tried to change the operation to "+=", but now when I attached the command block to a fast clock, the score would repeatedly increase to ridiculous numbers.

Is there an accurate way of tracking a team's total score on the sidebar? Or in my attempts, is there something wrong that I have been doing?
