hey guys, I've read every post and I've seen nothing on my problem;
I force update, run the ZombieCraft installer and the desktop icon appears on my desktop. But it doesn't have the gears saying that it's not .bat. When i click on it says the ZombieCraft desktop shortcut has been changed or moved do I want to delete the shortcut.
What do I do? This makes me feel stupid because I'm probably missing something.
Edit: I saw the post above and ran the .bat as administrator, same thing.
Did you run the .bat as administrator on that account?
If you didn't then check the account you ran it as administator with and check if there is a .bat file on the desktop.
If this still doesn't help, then please tell me.
every time i click on that icon on my desktop it says the item play zombie craft.bat that this short cut refers to has been changed or moved so this short cut will no longer work properly
Did you run it as administrator on another user? If so, you have to log onto that user in order for it to work.
its not working!!!
i dint know what im doing wrong. wen i tried it just brought back all my old stuff...
Do you mean it brang back your old saves?
In that case, make sure you deleted the .minecraft folder, and I must keep saying that you need to back up everything you want to keep.
Is there a way to do this without having to delete your saves? I don't fully trust myself or my computer, and I don't know what "backing up" means (not very techy)
When I say "backing up" I mean to copy your save folder, and paste it on your desktop (It's can take a while). And when the pasting is finished, and you finished installing Zombiecraft simply drag your save folder back into the .minecraft folder.

I'm pretty sure this is 1.4_1 compatible but not sure if you can have other mods while doing it...

To make your own map, you would need to be part of the creators of this mod. You can ask them on there website where you download the mod....

Wish I could but I've been busy... haven't tried re downloading the mod... :sad.gif:

Not sure, I haven't tried using other mods with this mod. But it would kinda of ruin the point of zombies if you do.

When I say run a world I mean click on single player, new world, and then start the world. That's what "run a world" means.

In this situation, you need to delete the whole .minecraft folder in the %appdata% section
and then try it again

That also happened to me. Try running it as administrator. Sorry I kinda forgot how I fixed that one.

Try clicking options and do the "Force Update"
Tell me if that helps.
