((Yeah, I was in a bit of a rush. Here is the refined version of the appearance and the personality:

Personality: He is very smart and will never break rules. He is very strict and cannot stand foolishness. He dislikes children or anyone that just doesn't have common sense. He is very much for equality and for everyone and loves being right. He is blunt and won't sugarcoat anything. He is very good at manipulating people and making friends, until his mother became ill. Even though he doesn't know it, he relies a lot on his 2 best friends and family. He is very stuck up, arrogant, and always holds himself in the highest of esteem but underneath all that, there is just someone who wants to be accepted and who really wants his mom.

Appearance: This is kinda what I was going for so just disregard the previous appearance.

    Name: Jack

    Age(16+): 18

Personality: Very smart and loathes breaking rules. He is a very selfish, blunt, and ruthless. He hates everyone and everyone hates him. He does not work well in groups and cannot stand people who make stupid jokes or children. He is very smart and also an atheist (In no way does this reflect my personal views or whatever blah blah blah don't want to get berated for stating religion). The only people he really likes are his 2 best friends and his family. He is very stuck up, arrogant, and always holds himself in the highest of esteem.

    Gender: Male

Appearance: He is tall with glasses, shortcut black hair, green eyes, and is always very pale.

Bio: Jack was always very smart and got good grades in school. He took many extra classes online and soon learned more than all the teachers in his school put together! He was bullied lots but he didn't let it phase him. He just kept on going and succeeded where they failed. He had loving parents and a few friends. He was actually pretty popular at the time and his teachers simply adored him. It seemed nothing could go wrong.

Life was good. Until one day his mother got cancer and everything went downhill. He lost most of his friends and he became secluded, and eventually didn't care about anyone. He became an antisocial freak and all the popularity he had built up over the years vanished. The only thing he still cared about was to fulfill his mothers last wish after she died, to scatter her ashes in Australia, where her and his father grew up. So with his mothers farewell note in his hand and the ashes in the other, he set off with his father for Australia. But little did he know that everything was about to get much worse.

Inventory: Clothes, mothers ashes, damaged (but not broken)laptop with charger, and his mother's farewell note.
Note: If the damaged laptop is a bit eccentric I'll remove it.

    Other: Nothing.

Check to make sure no one is around you. Then examine the trees to see if there is anything special about them.

    Construction:

Construct a council building for settling disputes and for making big decisions: 2/7

The Zakin are craving a building in which there disputes can be settled. As I said before they are not very sociable but they do have disagreements from time to time. Very rarely has it escalated to a fight but it would still be useful. Also it would help to get an official building because the council gets little recognition and an official building would help show who is in charge.

    Build Permanent Housing: 1/8

The majority (Prime) of the Zakin are getting tired of living in shacks, so in an effort to please them the council has started construction on many permanent homes for their race. They plan to construct nearly 3,000 shelters. The council plans to have 2-3 Prime in 1 house. The Infants and Elders are currently living in the cave, the smell is no problem as on their home world they used to live in caves and many of them were had worse smells than this one. They also do not care who they share a dwelling with as Zakin are mostly emotionless and cold to all around them. Only at 1 point in their lives (when they mate) do they ever spend time with anyone else for extended periods of time.

    Scouting:

Scout the land looking for suitable places for permanent homes. 3/3
The Zakin have found many good spots of land for some permanent housing.

    Research:

    Advanced tools: 2/4

    Examine mushrooms in cave: 2/2

The Zakin have found that the fungus in the cave has proven to be harmless but also that it doesn't have any special properties.

((Bit of a long post. Also, will their be seasons?))

The Zakin found that they could easily find food because most creatures on this planet were
diurnal, or only came out at day. This meant that all there prey was easy to kill because
    they were sleeping

Event: The Zakin are shocked at what had happened, because they didn't have a religion they
could not come up with any idea on what the orb was.

    Resource Collection:

Gather Lumber for current projects: 1/3

Gather food for current turn: 1/1

    Stockpile Food: 1/3

    Territory:

Territory Expansion: Multiple sections tagged with "!".

!Recruit party of 1000 to "colonize" the 2 hexagons below the starting position. 1/1

!Gather tools and lumber for expansion party. 1/3

!Get food for expansion party 1/2

    Need Stockpiled Food

Scout Territory: Multiple sections tagged with "!".

!Recruit Scouting Party Of 100: 1/1

!Supply them with general goods: 1/1

The scouting party will be heading to the 2 hexagons the colonization party is going to but they will just scout the area.

    Construction:

    Build temporary shelters 2/2

The cave will be used for all of the Infants and Elders, so all of the prime (about 70%) will be in the temporary shelter's.

Construct a council building for settling disputes and for making big decisions: 1/7

    Need Lumber

    Scouting:

Scout the land looking for suitable places for permanent homes. 2/3

    Research:

    Basic tools: 1/1

The Zakin have managed to make rudimentary tools that allow them to chop down trees and break apart rocks.

    Advanced tools: 1/4

    Examine mushrooms in cave: 1/2

The Zakin wake to find they are in new territory. After a few skirmishes the Elders are able to calm everyone down and establish their government system, the high council. A crate of food is found and given out by the council so that no one takes more than another. The high council starts to organize them in an effort to survive on this strange new land.

Scout the land looking for suitable places for permanent homes. 1/3

    Construction:

    Build temporary shelters 1/2

    Research:

    Examine local wildlife 1/1

The Zakin have had a good start so far managing to construct some rudimentary structures for the Elders but not enough for everyone yet. They also have examined the local wildlife and found a variety of plants and animals just waiting to be hunted. They have settled in nicely and things can only really get better in terms of shelter and food but they all now that it won't last.

    Race Name: Zakin
Biology: Furry creatures that have a humanoid body but about half the size of an average human. They also have big black wings and sharp teeth and claws.
Physiology: They can fly for about 4 hours without rest and cannot swim at all. They have decent endurance but little strength mostly relying on stealth or surprise to catch there prey.
Psychology: The Zakin will do whatever they can to survive, not bloodthirsty but by no stretch of the imagination friendly.

Other: The Zakin have 3 stages of life, Infant, Prime, and Elder. When they are born they are in Infant stage for 3 months, then Prime for a few years depending on their health. After that Elder for a month before dying. Each stage is identified by eye colour. Red for Infant stage, black for Prime, and grey for Elder. Infants are weaker versions of the Prime and after 1 month will go into a cocoon for a week and transform. Prime's description is in Biology. Elders are much weaker than the other 2 stages and just pass on the knowledge to the Infants. Also they are nocturnal.

Ecology: My starting position is circled. Mountains would be best but they can adapt to many places.

Edit: They also are covered in black fur, hate light, and use echolocation along with there eyes.
