Use GIMP it's free and easy to use (PLENTY of videos on how to use it), other than that you just have to know some simple things:
1. Add texture: Add some texture by using the original colors then use a little bit lighter versions at other places.
2. Add shadows: Add shadows and glistening to your textures by making darker colors under places where there would be shadows and add lighter colors to where light would be hitting the item.
3. Use inspiration: Go to Google Images and find ideas for the items you'll be texturing.
4. Professionalism: Don't use crazy different colors and shades to color your item, try to use similar colors and shades to make it look professional.

I know its not helping, but tell him to buy a copy of the game it helps development and you don't have to worry about finding cracked servers or anything.

I'm working on a new mini-game and I want it to be a lot like Assault mode from Star Wars Battlefront 2. So my problem I need to add up all the teams scores into one pool and display it as a scoreboard for both teams, also when the kills get to 60 I want the game to clear everyone's inventory and teleport them back to the lobby. I have a general idea of how to do some of this but 1. I don't know if it will work 2. I need help on the rest so I might as well just ask someone from here. This if for my server and whoever helps I'll put their Minecraft username and link of your choice (examples: YouTube channel, forum profile, website)!

As many said before, developers need money to make the game, to update the game and just to live its their job.
So....I don't support this, I never will and I'm pretty sure... no one (except for people who don't have any money or just don't want to have to pay for things that they should) is ever gonna support this
Hub Basics is a nice one (I don't personally use it but I've tried and it's pretty nice), it has hats, announcments, /hub and all sorts of stuff for 1.8
It worked yesterday when I removed Ender Storage. but all the sudden today it crashes when he opens his inventory again! I don't know what it is, so if someone could help please?
Hey guys! My brother is trying to play Tekkit with me, but everytime he opens his inventory or uses a crafting table (basically a gui I guess?) his game crashes. If you need crash logs can you tell me if it has any computer info that I shouldn't just be putting on the internet for everyone to see? Thanks for you help in advance!
Edit: I figured the problem out by myself, anyone that needs help just remove Ender Storage and it should work!

I use .setDamage but I don't know what to change stack and damage to (damage is self explanatory I guess), is that the way to do it or no?

I use Simple Hub Teleport 2 (I use this one), it has just the basic /hub command which is really easy to use, definitely reccommended
