Jun 21, 2012It is very hard to get power to rows upon rows of redstone torches. In my opinion it is not possible to power every single block because you will always need a block for the repeater or redstone to rest. In my opinion it would be easiest to make a piston display, although this would make the screen considerably bigger.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms

How do I fix that?
Instead of having all the repeaters point into the separate pistons, run the wire along blocks so as to power them easier.
Then as soon as the line goes no further extend it like this.

Underneath of the white wool is redstone, the wool is simply there to stop the redstone from interfering with each other.
Also you would just simply mirror it to do the other side, and the first line is 6 blocks of redstone starting at the block on the input.

Actually, if you notice, the blocks his levers are on have repeaters on the other side, so he can just use wire directly into the blocks.
I'm sorry to say that won't work. :/ You still need to power the dut behind the middle torch from each input.

I am pretty sure that is the exactly same design as the one in MetaPig's vertical logic compendium and the same as the one I always come up with when I make one wide xor gates.
Yeah, it is the same as MetaPig's although the funny thing is I didn't think to look at his thread for a design XD.

thanks for letting me know.
Jan 19, 2012So I was looking for a compact XOR for the ALU I'm making and was having the hardest time trying to find a nice compact one :/. So I decided to make my own. Let me know what you think (also let me know if its been done before)Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms

I have seen it before... But I can't remember where.
Don't forget to look at dates XP, this thread was started about 3 months ago, although there was already something like it when I had posted the concept then as well.
